Paul at Polo Motor Company was honest and straightforward, cannot really ask for much more from a car dealership, they even changed the brake pads on our new car when they were not obliged too.

The car I had was what I call a cheap one ( a part exchange ) I needed a bigger car, it did have some faults and within days it had all been sorted and things replaced, plus a new M.O T so I could see it had all been done, helpful and friendly from all the people there, so any negatives you see here all I will say is go and see Polo Motor Company in person first and not just phone up.

No wonder Polo Motor Company get reviews from people who have not bought from you. Very interested in a £10k car on your lot, seen it once, looks good. Phoned to ask for a test drive and you refused unless we were "at point of sale". Told me to test drive one at a main dealers! Went somewhere else and they offered a test drive of a car before we even asked.

Sadly we are an internet only based company & like most web based companies achieve competitive prices by using minimal staff & low overheads. Because of this it is not possible to do test drives just on request due to time involved, staff levels & vehicle re clean after test drive. Therefore we really only offer test drives before purchase so the customer is happy with what they are buying. If they have never driven a similar vehicle to the one they are viewing, we find in our experience the customer is not yet ready to purchase. I hope this clarifies our sales policy & the modern way we now adopt to maintain our competitive prices & an internet style business
Bought my mx5 around 18 months ago from Polo Motor Company...great service very helpful...will be going back when I decide to buy another car...very happy.

I purchased a VW Scirocco from here back in August. The car wasn't as described at all. There were numerous things that the advert included that the car did not have and one of the alloys was damaged. Overall I am not happy with my experience and I would not recommend this dealership.

Thanks for leaving this review. The owner has replied to other reviews claiming they aren't actual customer's in order to defend the negative comments, so it's helpful to see a verified purchase customer leaving a review. Was planning on making an enquiry for a merc at £16k but based on the grey area of reviews I think it's not worth the trouble considering the amount at stake.

The above review does not clearly indicate the vehicle faults. My belief is because the vehicle had NO faults that made is unfit for purpose. When buying a car the cosmetics marks are up to the customer to decide on level of acceptability. This car probably had a very very minor scuff on one alloy as nearly all our alloys are refurbished before sale. The only other complaint the customer had was No blue tooth in car. We did NOT advertise with Bluetooth & clearly explained this to the customer. We also asked as this was so important I the customer, why he did not check for themselves before purchasing ?! All seems very strange. We always give customers plenty of time to look over our cars & apply a NO PRESSURE sales technique
I called this company to view a Gof tdi priced at £7990,was told it was at a place having the wheels refurbished,i left my number as they said it would be back there 6 days later on the friday so could they call me and then i could come and view the car as was expecting it to be immaculate for this price. No phone call on the friday so i called at 1pm to be told it would be there at 2pm or 3pm yet again i said can you call me when its back , 4pm came and still no call so i called them yet again to be told by some sales guy who couldnt give a care in the world and said Oh were not getting the car till tomorrow no appology or sorry,what great customer service no courtesy call from them to let me know. Probably a lucky i did not buy a car from them with this service..

Yet again we have a review from a customer who did not even visit or buy from us. This is hardly a genuine customer comment as.this vehicle was sold almost the day after it was prepared for sale & ready. This customer was clearly told he would be called as soon as car was ready & due to his impatience it was not possible to meet his time scales & when we told the customer over the phone the car would be ready Saturday he rudely put the phone down on us... Again this was another great car sold at FULL PRICE to a very pleased lady customer \Patience is a virtue\""
Read reviews and thought should redress balance as don't normally write reviews. Brought skoda yeti. Pleasant to do business with and friendly. Good value car compared with other offers out there. Still running great. A pleasant buying experience

Purchased Mini Cooper from this friendly dealership today and am extremely satisfied with the vehicle in question.The owner of this car sales was extremely friendly ,helpful and made every effort to make my wife and I feel at ease purchasing said vehicle !
The website stated open until 17:30, we went there at 16:35 and it was closing up for the day. I spoke to the guy and was told 'the website says it's appointment only' whoever heard of having to make an appointment to visit a second hand car dealers premises? Oh and by the way, Mr Rude 'no, your website does not state that, it states evening and Sunday's by appointment' Wouldn't buy a car from this dealer, he doesn't honour his advertised opening times on HIS website and obviously has no interest in selling cars. I wouldn't trust this dealer - you've been warned, on your own head be it if it all goes wrong. We were only interested in looking at one car which was advertised at nearly £7,000!

Yet again this is a review from a "potential " customer who never purchased a vehicle from us or even viewed any vehicles on site. Sadly this web site "car dealer reviews" allows you to place a review on a car dealer and allocate 1 star without even visiting them !!!! All you need is an email address. Dear Mr Orchard, You are absolutely right, we did NOT purchase a car from you as you closed early and would not let us view the car we were interested in. As to your statement that I did not read your website correctly as it states viewing by appointment only, that is absolute tosh, as soon as we returned home I double checked your website and it clearly stated that "evenings and Sunday by appointment only". As I stated in my initial review that was what was written on YOUR website, at that time in FEBRUARY 2016, I have no idea of what your website now states regarding opening times, but I do know the only person around here NOT reading things correctly, Mr Orchard, is you! I rarely write poor or bad reviews of Companies but I made an exception in your case as your attitude was awful, you were rude and blatantly lied about the content of your website - if I am not treated politely before purchasing from you, then there is absolutely no chance of being treated fairly after you have taken our money. Your petulant response has done you no favours Mr Orchard, at best it is misguided and childish, and I suggest you refrain from rubbishing people who review your Company as the majority of us probably live locally and local Companies live and die on their reputation and actions, and quite frankly, Mr Orchard, your attitude to your potential customers is equal to your attitude to the service you offer - very poor! I would just like to respond to this very long winded review & again a comment from another person who has never purchased from us, but insists on aggressive criticism of a dealer they have little or No knowledge of. Firstly ALL OUR ADVERTS carry a foot note as follows “PLEASE CALL FOR MORE INFORMATION OR TO ARRANGE A VIEWING” This is on & has been on EVERY individual advert since the launch of Autotrader web site advertising, at least 10 years & we can verify this if you would like to call in & see proof. Secondly the reason we shut early that day, like you were told at the time is that I had a Dr’s appointment. I refuse to lower myself to explain the nature of this appointment, but for once just take my word it was far more serious than unlocking a car site to allow a viewing of a car from a customer that had not booked an appointment. If you are still put out by all this & as you say are local, by all means please call in & I will explain my personal medical history at the time, but not over the Internet. I hope this reply now satisfies your frustration.
I found the person I spoke to at Polo Motor Company to be rude, arrogant man. Avoid at all costs unless you want to be hung up on because he says he was bored of talking about it because it is a £1000 car.

ALL our buyers are satisfied with their purchases and our aftersales. A negative comment from a customers phone call about a car priced £995, Part exchange to clear should be taken with a pinch of salt!! This part exchange priced at £995 could have been sold a 100 times over. Hence why the caller was not able to purchase as he was 1 of many wanting to buy a car now SOLD!!
