Avoid – Poor Service and Misleading Sales Tactics I recently purchased a car from Prestige Cars Cardiff for £15,000, expecting a professional service and a vehicle as described. Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing. I was assured the car was in excellent condition and would be cleaned prior to delivery. However, when the car arrived, both the interior and exterior were filthy — completely unacceptable for a purchase of this value. To make matters worse, there were visible dents on the vehicle that clearly went beyond general wear and tear, none of which were disclosed beforehand. Prior to the sale, communication was excellent — calls were answered promptly, and every question was responded to with ease. However, once the car was delivered and payment made, getting hold of anyone became extremely difficult. Straight away, the car had an unusually loud road noise. When I contacted them about it, they questioned my integrity and were very rude. Both the seller and his staff were uncooperative, unfriendly, and unprofessional. A visit to a Mercedes specialist confirmed that the tyres were defective — they had visible bumps and were unsafe to drive on. Replacement was necessary, and although this was their fault, they only agreed to partially compensate. On top of that, the car’s tracking and alignment were completely off — another cost I had to cover myself. Overall, it feels like they sold me a dream and vanished once the money was handed over. Their approach is misleading and unprofessional, leaving customers stranded with expensive repairs. This experience has completely shattered my confidence in purchasing a car again. I’ll forever be doubtful and won’t buy with ease in the future. I strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing from Prestige Cars Cardiff

We are still in the middle of a battle for them to settle the outstanding balance of 15k on our part exchange vehicle. We were contacted by a “Bill” working on their assets since liquidation who claims he’s paid the previous finance company the settlement but they haven’t received this yet. Hopefully it’s a delay due to Christmas (wishful thinking). As an FYI, you have legal grounds to report your daughter’s car as stolen. We were going down that route with the part exchange vehicle as the previous finance company actually told us to report it as it was still in our name (they didn’t swap it to their name but still tried to illegally sell the vehicle????). I’m not sure where they’re hiding the vehicles but I do know an address for one of the staff members which I’ll be sending the police to in order to recover the stolen cars.

Hello do you have any details for the administrator company dealing with things on there behalf
DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP..under any circumstances ...I bought a Corsa three weeks ago , within days the front headlamps didn't work and this eve the engine fault light on , took it to Halfords who said it's not a Corsa exhaust and suspects there is a hole in the exhaust , read their appalling reviews , I will be escalating this to trading standards and they never call you back and just seen from their Facebook page the dealership is now permanently closed , from reading the diabolical reviews they are selling DODGY Unsafe cars with warranties that are not fit for purpose , I will be contacting the police , trading standards , supplying all documentation and names

The company has now gone into liquidation and this will soon on companies house. I have been given all the details. So if you are owed money you will soon receive this too. I did report them to Trading Standards and sent them a letter before court claim but as they closed my letter got returned to me and I now can't take them to court so I will have to chase my money from the liquidators or credit card company's. If you paid a deposit on a credit card you maybe able to claim under section 75 of the consumers act. I hope everyone gets their money back.

Update; contacted today by a legal company working on behalf of Prestige cars to settle the outstanding finance. Fingers crossed you all get a call from him. Annoying as we are £600 down because we kept paying the finance owed on the previous vehicle as it would’ve ruined our credit score. (As the lady above mentioned, they’ve gone into liquidation… shame we are obviously the last to know!!!)

Hello Helen, I’m sorry you have had bad dealings with Prestige Cars as well. Rich has had my daughter’s car now for over two months apparently fixing it but her finance company have been trying to get a response from him but nothing surprise surprise. Today I have read your review and others so discovered he’s longer trading! Do you know what steps I need to take?

Hello Helen, We are having terrible problems with Rich and he has had my daughters car for two months apparently fixing it but not responding to us or the finance company. I have just discovered from this site he’s no longer trading! Please can you advise our next step
My partner part exchanged his vehicle with this company October 1st. They agreed to settle the 15.5k finance on our previous vehicle. We’ve been chasing and chasing but no response. They ignore emails and phone calls. We’ve had two letters from the previous finance company stating we owe outstanding payments! They’ve taken our previous car and now hidden it whilst not paying the 15.5k debt owed. They’ve used it on the road without insurance as we’ve been contacted by MIB. Goodluck to anyone else that’s chasing this garage as they’re now “permanently closed” and taken their website down. We are in contact with Trading Standards and eventually, the police. Company is still registered as active, director is Daniel Williams and wife is Natalie Williams who also co-owns/has shares in it.

We need to make sure these scammers do not resurface under another name and continue to trade in unsafe and dangerous cars and that they do not continue their scamming, they need to be held accountable , I have his name, paperwork and documentation and we need to build a case , selling cars that are not fit for purpose , scamming people out of their money , putting dangerous cars on the road
Anon in response to Thieves
The worst part is that the owner has three young children and still thinks it’s okay to scam other families out of money. We’ve sent our letter to the company outlining the 14 day period. The company is still listed as active. I’ve got the email for the owner, the company, two numbers, current and previous addresses and both shareholders. We will be contacting a lawyer shortly to recover the debt owed. We’ve contacted DVLA to let them know they’re hiding the vehicle and have notified the finance copy to repossess it when they eventually locate it
Anon in response to Thieves
If we don't group together and bring these to account they will take our money and resurface in a few months and continue their diabolical practice, I have his photo
Anon in response to Thieves
Anyone who wants to join forces to bring these people to account , message me and let's make sure this never happens to anyone else again
Anon in response to Thieves
If you want to join forces and bring these people to account message me otherwise believe me they will take our money and resurface in a matter of months under a different trading name , what they are doing is illegal , wrong, fraudulent and they need to be held accountable
Anon in response to Thieves
I'm off to bed now , as utterly soul destroyed , but please I urge each and everyone of us who has fallen victim to these people , let's join forces , put a joint case together to all the relevant organisations, and let's get accountability and an element of justice , and ensure they NEVER do this again

Hello, unfortunately we are also having problems with Rich, ignoring us even though he has my daughter’s car back to be repaired but heard nothing from him. Our finance company is aware but I’m not sure they have done anything but tried to make contact. So I would really appreciate help and advice. Thank you in advance
Bought a car from them and within 20 days I’d had 3 engine lights come on, returned it 4 times for it to be fixed and had tire issues, central console falling out and more.. called for weeks trying to get a refund to return the car and I’ve been ghosted. Dropped the car outside and they’ve been shuttered up. Not sure how I’ll get my refund now but thoroughly disappointed

Send them a formal letter outlining they have 14 days to respond and then take it further. Thats what we’ve done as trading standards are now involved in our case. Contact trading standards to get a reference number too as it’ll get the ball rolling. They’re still listed as active for now.

Message me , we need to all group together and go to trading standards and escalate this ,
Anon in response to Been ghosted after being sold fault car
It's no good sending them letters , they have ceased trading, taken our money and run,the only route to bring these people to justice and held accountable is for us to jointly and as a group to submit our joint cases to the police, trading standards , companies house , giving them all our contact details and then hopefully they will be in court answering their diabolical fraudulent and illegal practice
Anon in response to Been ghosted after being sold fault car
Trading standards advised we had to send a letter first before they were willing to do anything else unfortunately.
I live in Devon and I thought I would take risk buying a car on line, what a mistake that was. The car arrived with no v5, no service conducted, no receipt and no service history. After two days of driving steam was coming out if the bonnet. I took it to my local garage they were horrified that a wheel bolt was missing on each wheel which is unsafe, the brakes were close to the legal limit and there was a potential head gasket issue. Richard said I would get a refund once I returned the car which I did on the 26 November. They have completely ignored my calls texts so I did write to them with a letter before claim but in the 13 December it states the business is closed and I can totally understand why. The cars were rubbish and unsafe and customer service was awful. They have done a runner with just over £3,000 of my money. If any one knows where they are please let me know as they are total crooks stealing people's money. I am so stressed and upset.

My experience with this company is absolutely disgraceful. Found the car (Mercedes A class) on a recognised website in which their reviews were very good (4.8/5). This added to the fact that the company name is Prestige Cars and the seller (Richie) was pleasant and helpful gave me the reassurance of a good buy. Little did I know. We started our conversations on Friday (29/11/24) where I was asked for a £900 deposit which I transferred immediately and the business was finalised on Saturday (30/11/24). That same day, we agreed collection on Wednesday (04/12/24). Richie assured me that the car would be cleaned and valeted, ready for pick up any time from 11.30am on Wednesday. When we got there, coming all the way from Exeter, the car had green moss on all the door rubbers, all around the boot shut and behind all door handles and there was big clumps of dead leaves stuck in the bonnet vents. The wheels haven’t been prepared or cleaned, the engine cover had two big splits on it, the back spoiler was loose, the handle was missing from the boot floor and there was quite a big chip of the windscreen, which we only saw after we drove away. Also, the car was advertised with two keys but only one was there on collection. After encountering all these problems, we were promised a £250 refund and the second key to be sent to our home address via post when they find it. According to Richie (which suddenly wasn’t so helpful anymore), this refund would be in my account in two to three working days. A week has gone by and we have no insight of the refund, the key or even Richie. Our phone calls and messages are ignored. Customer service is nonexistent. Respect and honesty are words that obviously are not part of Richie’s vocabulary. Stay away from this garage if you value your money and your sanity.

I think you can see the thread of these diabolical reviews , they have picked the wrong person to mess with me, I propose we group together , build our case and bring these to account !!
