I bought a car from Prestige Cars of Essex in good faith , it was a Porsche 911. They promised to send on to me the invoice for the recent major service done to the car ( they never sent it despite me constantly e mailing over past 3 months. The car clearly also had a lot of faults so I put it into a Porsche Dealer for a 111 point check and Porsche quoted a staggering £15,900 to put the car into Porsche Approved Condition . Prestige kept spouting rubbish about helping and contributing but it’s all rubbish , Prestige have done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING . I cannot give more details as I’ve passed it on to my lawyer and Trading Standards .

Ann Edwards in response to Dreadful Avoid
Hello So sorry to hear about your issues with this dealer, we are in the exact same position and currently at Court going through a lengthy and expensive process. Not sure of the outcome but we allege that Essex Prestige Autos LTD are clearly exploiting their customers' statutory rights by shirking their legal responsibility to remedy situations by not offering refunds, repairs or replacements............its illegal and they seem not to care. More than happy to discuss.
Petko Kamov in response to Dreadful Avoid
Hi Anna, Could you please contact me as im facing alot of issues as i am at the end of my finance agreement with them. Pkamov@icloud.com Thank you!
Amazing set up at Prestige Cars of Essex and a great dealership to buy a car from! Rightly recommend!
I have had a very disappointing experience with this organisation. I was contacted in response to my ad on Autotrader and was told they were sourcing a vehicle for a customer. I agreed the price, and they said they'd be in touch to arrange collection - the following day if they could manage it. During the evening we were in email correspondence to arrange collection. We confirmed the price and the estimated time for collection - 11am next day if ok with the driver. The following morning I called to confirm, to be told my car didn't have the electronic dash they thought, but that they'd get back to me. They didn't - they'd changed their mind. The pictures in my ad clearly showed all the info they needed to know about which spec they had committed to buy. I didn't even get a courtesy call - I had to called them to hear that they were now NOT buying my car. I had put off another caller, because in my mind I had agreed a verbal contract. That's how I do business - agreeing a price and arranging collection seems definite to me. It appears that Prestige Cars of Essex does not operate with the same degree of integrity. Thanks Prestige! Sellers beware!! I have no experience with buying from here, but I can only re-iterate that I like to do business with people/organisations that I can trust.
I am disappointed in myself for having bought my car from Prestige Cars of Essex. They take your money, are incredibly disorganised and the owner Tom and Sarah do not share information between I have been chasing an issue they agreed to sort at the time of purchase, as soon as the car was paid, they dragged out and themselves so total chaos.ignored important communication! Now they have replied saying they do not want to deal with and I should contact via a solicitor based on me writing a negative / honest review (completely justified as they had not dealt with my issue for months and by writing a negative review, they then got back in touch to try to resolve.. typical!) but now have confirmed they are not interested to sort it - this move should tell you how they operate! Anyway, not worth the hassle to be stuck with an expensive car and have these sort of headaches - just look at the negative reviews on here by genuine people - go to other dealers with a reputable set up and credible reviews. It's good to have Car Dealer Review available online to warn others - they do a good job being here!
Please save your money & avoid major headaches and go to another dealer! Sarah and Tom are very unreliable and the customer service I received after the sale was totally unacceptable with no clear communication or customer care! They even lied about what they did with my log book.. saying they submitted it online, but DVLA confirmed they definitely did not else it would have shown on the system .. not what you expect from a car dealer! This resulted in me having to spend even more money, all this caused by their incompetence to deal with properly and professionally first time round! I spent good money on a BMW 4x4 for my family (and for my 3 year old child) and 3 months later I'm still waiting on a repair and never received warranty documents (despite chasing) and now have another problem with the car which apparently existing when I bought it .. surprise surprise with no follow up contact or responses from Sarah or Tom in dealing with it - they are even ignoring my garage who are a reputable BMW specialist in Hainault and been around for years (who also seem to indicate how unprofessional Prestige Cars of Essex seem to be .. which tells you everything!). Anyhow, I'm taking this case to auto trader customer services, the local press / watchdog and perhaps even my solicitors as this is unacceptable for them to do this and keep doing this to lots of customers it seems! A car purchase is expensive so shop around wisely and whatever you do, do not deal with Prestige Cars of Essex.
Sam Manning in response to Very unprofessional / Poor service!
Hi, can you contact me about this please ? I have a similar problem - sammanning3@gmail.com
DO NOT buy a car from Prestige Cars of Essex. I purchased my vehicle only 30 days ago from here-within an hour of collecting the car an airbag light came on whilst driving home and there was bad wheel vibration above 60mph. I rang the garage immediately and spoke to Sarah who advised me to have the car looked at and report back to her. Next day I took car to BMW dealership for diagnostics to be told requires a wiring loom for airbag system, rear diff badly leaking and timing chain noisy. I rang Sarah from garage and she asked me to get a quotation of which I did and came to £4k. Her whole demeanor changed and she was rude, patronizing and very unsympathetic and advised me they would not be paying bmw prices and would speak to there mechanic and get back to me. At time of sale I was advised I got 3 months warranty with car through auto protect of which still has not been set up to this day. Few days passed and heard nothing from sarah so tried calling and left messages of which they did not return my call. finally got hold of her to be fobbed off with waiting to hear back from there mechanic and I would need to bring car back to them. To cut a long story short I have spent 5 weeks chasing the garage who are ignoring all messages, calls and emails, the warranty has still NOT been set up on car. I contacted my finance company who are also chasing dealership and being given the run around for 3 weeks by Sarah who is not interested and passing all responsibility to the MD who is also not getting back to me or my finance company. Will now have to pursue them legally which is not acceptable. They sold the car knowing there was faults with it and not having car checked beforehand which is against the law. Have contacted trading standards regarding this as read bad reviews on other sites-seems they do this a lot to customers. Do not be fooled by Sarah as throughout sale process she is lovely but since handing over the keys she is unprofessional, rude and couldn't care a less.

I'm only giving them 1 star because I can't give them zero! Shocking service! Purchased a car from them a month ago. Seemed good to start with, not pushy, car was clean on arrival but had a couple of scratches on paintwork and leather interior which were not advertised. Had a test drive and all seemed fine, handed over cash. Only then it turns out that they can't find a spare key- and car was advertised as having 2 keys, I was even told by the sales man and woman that there are definitely 2 keys. Very unprofessionally they decided one of them must have left it in their own homes... Ok no dramas there but was promised that key will be sent to me the following day ( drove from Wales to collect this car so couldn't come back and get the key) This is even written on the sales contract. We're now a month later and despite numerous phone calls I still don't have a spare key. During one phone call saleswoman admitted that they can't find it. I suggested that they either order me a new key or refund the cost of ordering a new key from Mercedes. And I heard nothing back. A replacement key is costly, well in excess of £300. But it's not just about the cost- it's the principle as well. If I was promised and reassured to get the key- I expect it. Now when driving this car for a couple of weeks I have noticed gear changes were not as smooth as they should. Checked with Mercedes and turns out that crucial gearbox service was not done. Again, car was advertised as having FULL SERVICE HISTORY. Clearly, it doesn't. And I couldn't check the details of each service until I received my v5 as all services are recorded electronically now and not in the service book. I had this service done now at my own expense - almost £400. This didn't help rough gear changes and Mercedes recommended full diagnostic on gearbox (which will cost around £150) and they feel that one of the control units may be causing this - repair will be in excess of £1000. WARRANTY - ITS NOT WORTH ANYTHING, it only covers a few things as long as car is serviced regularly. So won't cover my repairs as car wasnt serviced before I owned it!. And will only cover repairs up to a £1000, so realistically if anything goes wrong you will be paying out of your own pocket anyway. I have called numerous times, wrote emails and have been fobbed off. This has been going on for over a month and I haven't got as much as an acknowledgement. It even got to the point my phone number is clearly being ignored, and every time I ring I am treated rudely and abruptly. Buying a expensive car from 'PRESTIGE' garage I didn't expect to have been conned. I am deeply upset I have wasted my hard earned money on a car that turned out to be a shed, and now I am having to deal with rude sales people who don't give a *.... once they get your money. Again, AVOID and save yourself money and stress.

Saw the car I had been after on their website so emailed them to which they responded to very quickly. Went to view car and was greeted by the saleswoman who was very friendly. Took car on test drive and when returning agreed a price . Picked car up following week. Very pleased with car, but, left the handbook in their office. Tried to arrange pick up but they were always too busy or not in the office. They did say they would post it to me but still not received it, after many emails still no word or handbook.
Called up about a car that looked very clean in the pictures and was spoken to rudely by the women on the phone. I did go to see the car and was only one person available who was on the phone. We test drove the car ALONE which I thought was strange. Later discovering that some parts on the car were not fully working. Took the keys back and the man (still on the phone) didn't seem bothered at all. Not good customer services and wouldn't recommend.
I would happily use Prestige Cars Essex to buy another car from, I was greeted on the forecourt then left to my own devices, they let me take a test drive and have a good look around the car, they were very polite and relaxed and answered all my questions. I couldn't find a complaint if I tried.
