payed £100 to hold the car till we came up to view, car was a right mess needed lots doing to it, the guy took my details incase we rang back to say yes which we never did next day he put finance though without me saying only found out when the fiance company rang me! so rang Prestige Motors to get my £100 back which they are refusing to hand back. Stay away i will be getting trading standards involved.

Hi Karl, our customers feedback is always appreciated, and we would use this to improve in the future. In this particular case, as you had agreed to reserve the vehicle with a £100 refundable deposit on the basis that you viewed the vehicle, and if it was not as described, or expected this would be refunded to you. Upon viewing, you informed us you had a finance deal in place with Lloyds, and showed our finance manager the monthly payments, and asked if we could beat this price. As we offer various finance packages, tailored to our customers requirements, we offered to go ahead with a finance proposal, and you gave us all the details required in order to complete the proposal. Once the finance was accepted, you were informed by the lender, and you later decided you did not want to go ahead with the deal. We are unsure why you have left us a negative review, advising that we did this without your consent, as it had already been discussed on site between yourself and the sales manager. The terms of the deposit are always explained to the customer, and an email copy is provided once payment has been made. If you would like to call us to discuss this further, we would be more than happy to do so, as there seems to be some confusion. We hope to hear from you soon. Many thanks, Prestige Motors Direct.
Bought a Mercedes C class Car had Esp light on during test drive... been in three times for repair of ESP issue as car was breaking on its own...on the last visit they said it needed ABS pump they refused to fix it because it is too expensive even this was sales agreement, they said warranty does not cover Rear doors doesn't lock Difrential has a problem very noise and nicking Glowplug module needs replacing. They kept the cat 25 days in total done nothing to it. When I call one person say waiting for part / the other says it is ready...yet they replaced nothing. They put two new tyres for MOT one is 2254517 the other side 2354517 Appalling service and warantty conditions DO NOT BUY!!!!!!

Collected car a couple of weeks back, decent place, definitely stock some of my dream cars. All round good service will return and recommend.

I recently bought a car from Prestige Motors. At first everyone seems nice, sales person can't do enough for you! That is until they have your money. On the surface they are all smiles, they are ignorant when you go into branch, ignore you where possible, pass you off to someone else. They will do anything to avoid accepting responsibility for anything that goes wrong . When a fault does occur, they investigate it, or do they, they were reluctant to use a third party to investigate problems, stating we have our own mechanics. In fairness faults wouldn't occur if their own mechanics were across the problems. They accept no liability whatsoever, and will discourage you from asking for a refund even though it is your right to a refund if goods are not fit for purpose . Be warned, check your paperwork , don't rush into accepting a repair. I will be seeking advise with Small claims court.

Hi Wendy, thanks for your feedback. As our warranty agreement is explained at the point of sale, it covers repairs only to be carried out onsite, unless otherwise agreed. The option to upgrade your warranty is also available at point of sale which enables you to use a third party garage locally, which is always recommended for convenience to the customer. The vehicle you purchased from us, was diagnosed and road tested for long distances which you were aware of, and the vehicle did not present any reported faults. We did offer to exchange the vehicle, before we had agreed to refund you. We apologise your expectations were not met on this occasion, and hope we can assist you again in the future.

Had similar experience with them and I will not be buying my next car from Prestige.
I purchased a car from the dealership around 8 weeks ago. Couldn't fault the service provided, was a quick and easy process, no problems with the car and was considerably cheap compared to the others on auto trader. They agreed to deliver the car to me as part of the deal which was a bonus. Would use them again and recommend to others.
Would prefer to give them 0 stars however unable to do so. Bought a used Nissan Terrano 2.5 from them in March this year, left dealership at 3.40 pm on 3rd March drove 43 miles car broke down as soon as i could pull off motorway safely called them to inform them, they didn't want to know, i was stranded on my own had to call out garage when they arrived said car couldn't be driven wasn't repairable that day had to pay almost £300 to get transported home arrived after midnight. Tried to contact them next day was being bounced around nobody wanted to help, eventually after over a week they agreed for me to take it to local garage (i paid for it to be transported again as they wouldn't sort) & for them to communicate directly with them, car was repaired however broke down two days later, it was repaired again (however their payment wasn't forthcoming so i had to pay garage) few days later power steering was making terrible noise spoke to the "after-sales manager Mr Paul Rix) again he said take to same garage again. As the car couldn't be dealt with the day i took it there it was left outside overnight, i had a call from the mechanic the next day to say that he noticed that there was a diesel spill when he checked the tank had a split in it and it had lost over 3 litres of fuel overnight! I asked him to give the vehicle a good check over and give me a detailed report with photos which he did, he discovered the following (i do have written signed report which trading standards now have) power steering is leaking from steel pipes & back of vehicle, very large oil leak from engine or transmission, seam split on fuel tank (whole tank rusty) & fuel pipes rusted. They estimated repairs to vehicle was in excess of £2000. Prestige refused to agree obviously. Therefore the car was deemed unsafe & not fit for purpose, I contacted them to reject car. They insisted i return it to them at my cost after a lot of arguing that happened at a cost of over £350 i am know out of pocket to over £1000 as well as the cost of the car. They signed for the car when it was returned to them by a transporter company after four letters (two recorded delivery) THEY REFUSE TO REFUND ME, HOWEVER THEY HAVE THE CAR AS WELL. SO BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, ALSO MAY BE PRUDENT TO EXAMINE THEIR COMPANY HOUSE RECORDS THEY DON'T MAKE PRETTY READING.

Was interested in getting in touch with the company but having read this and the other reviews, there's no way I'd risk my hard earned money with this firm. It's about time Trading Standards cracked down on dealers like this

The WORST dealership I've EVER dealt with!!! exchanged a gorgeous BMW for a citroen Picasso. The dealership had the car "independently" MOT'd and it came back with no adversaries completely clean. Three weeks later the exhaust fell away whilst I was driving in Yorkshire. Had to have the car towed back home. When I rang up there was only talk of "what we're obliged to do". The warranty (which isn't worth the paper on which it's written) says the car can only be fixed at their garage and I should have taken out their extended warranty(which I wasn't offered or aware of). They think I should be thrilled that they're offering me a courtesy car!! They refused to pay for the cost of the tow and accused me of threatening them because I explained I'd be writing a bad review and taking them to small claims!! AVOID!!!!!!!!!!

I called prestige to enquire about a car i was interested in that was on there web site, the guy seemed really uninterested and unfriendly very monosyllabic with his answers which is a shame because willing to pay cash for the car ...ended up on this site to check out other customer reviews ...looks like i had a narrow escape
