Not bought a car from here, but enquired about a car they were selling and got a rude and sarcastic reply, not very professional at all. Sounds like other people have had issues with this place as well.
Be careful!! I went to his house today to have another look at the white kia picanto he has for sale (after having a brief look yesterday) to ask a few questions, look at paperwork etc as I was still interested in the car. Just worth noting that there is no clear record of his company online. A strange thing we noticed when we arrived was that the car was already warm so the engine must have been running for a while. It would have been better to hear the car started up from cold. Is there an issue with the car hence why he did this before we arrived? He seemed fine at first but got defensive when my boyfriend and I asked a question about history of work done on the brakes as they seemed old from what we could see and the front pads and discs were advisories a few years ago - he has no paperwork of work done on the brakes. He said the MOT passed since the advisory on the brakes so they must have been changed, despite him having no proof of this. How can he guarantee this? We also asked about the history overall on the car which he did not have. He became irritated and I explained we were only concerned about a few things hence why we were asking a few questions. They were in my opinion simple and fair questions. This was a red flag. The car is 10 years old so to have no history is concerning. He didn't seem to like us checking the car such as looking at the engine bay, tyres, wheels, brakes, bodywork, boot, etc. In addition he told us the kia has had a full sevice by a local automotive company recently and the brakes would have been checked but again this was missing on the service log so he had no proof. He was also reluctant for us to have a friend who is a mechanic look at the car which again was another red flag. The paperwork he did have had coffee stains on and was not fully legible which isn't very professional. I said we were going to leave and that I would think about it (I was being polite depsite feeling frustrated that he was not helpful and that he was defensive with our questions). As we left he pushed the door shut (nearly on me). Overall he seems rude, untrustworthy, unprofessional and has poor customer service. Why he was defensive I'm unsure. Again, anyone looking at his cars be careful!
SO MANY NEGATIVES WITH THIS PURCHASE FROM PRIORY MOTOR CO! After viewing the car, I put down a holding fee and then picked the car up and paid a week later so that it could be MOTd before I picked it up. During that week, the dealer contacted me to say the car had passed the MOT no problems. After I had paid and taken the documents away however, the car had actually failed and then been put through the MOT again until it passed. So already I felt like maybe I couldn't trust the car. I contacted the dealer again the day after purchase because I was unable to tax the car online, therefore unable to drive it. The dealer was very rude to me on the phone, and told me that it was still taxed under his name so any cameras would pick up that it was taxed so it would be fine to drive it until I could get it taxed at a post office- THIS IS ILLEGAL!! What a joke. Five days after purchase, the car started to make a noise when turning corners, my local garage diagnosed it as a faulty wheel bearing which needed replacing. I did not expect to be carless (as the car had to go into the garage to be fixed) after five days of buying a new car at over £5000! The dealer did pay for the wheelbearing to be replaced but wouldn't pay for the sensor, which meant I was £80 out of pocket, having just bought the car. Then four months since purchase, the car broke down completely and was undriveable. I had to use my breakdown service to get me to my local garage, I was carless for another week and then had to pay £720 for the timing chain to be replaced. The garage said I was lucky that the timing chain hadn't caused any damage to the engine itself. I now have no peace of mind that this car is reliable, and have only had it 4 months. I can see now why people say NEVER to buy a car from an independent dealer. I only wish I had heard this advice before I did!

Due to age of the car and its drivers, needed to have newer but smaller car. Received excellent help from Priory Motor Co in choosing most suitable car taking account of what might reasonably expect to pay, what existing car fetched and my budget to add. Especially which of the options were important - resulting in not very many around. Finished up with low mileage, full service history good value for many car that is pleasure to drive.
I found Priory Motor Co through Auto Trader back in April, overall everything went well, the people were nice and the car looked great. I'm knocking a mark off as it was a while before I got the log book but apart from that I haven't got any other complaints regarding this used car dealership.
