In Visted VW yesterday morning 29/01/25at the Arnison Centre to hand in my partners car for a service which I have done many times the lady at the desk was very pleasant offering me a free complimentary drink which I thought great as I was going to wait .The lady on the coffee station wasn’t as helpful leaning over the counter on her phone she looked up as if I was interrupting her I asked for my free coffee there was no conversation or interaction as if she couldn’t be bothered I received my drink and then she continued were she left of over the counter with her phone in hand In my personal experience is that really how your car dealership wants to be remembered rude staff didn’t catch her name as she had a coat on but the lady in question had short brown hair

fabulous customer service VW Pulman .we were kept informed from start to finish . everything explained by Cathal very friendly guy .
We got a vw troc in May on motability from pullman vw. After less than 4 month and 2000 miles the gas struts on the tailgate have failed. I rang service centre and asked for a repair and courtesy car. I was told I could not have a courtesy car car she didn't ask what was wrong. She was rude and dismissive I spoke to the salesman and he said he'd help and sort it out for me. The service department rang and said it would be 2 weeks at the quickest. As they were busy I explained how dangerous it was and again dismissed but said he would get back to me. Someone called Nathan rang back said we couldn't know what was wrong as we weren't trained vw technicians. We explained the boot would not stay up and came down again said he would need to see the car before they could book it in but repair could take weeks. Asked to speak to the service manager and hopefully may be repaired this week. Initially We were told it could take a full day to do a 20 minute job. Terrible aftercare. Spares department said they could have them in stock within 2 to 3 days but were going to be left with a dangerous tailgate for weeks. Been told we can't complain as they don't have a complaints procedure. Feel like handing the car back to motability if we have to deal with pullman for the 3 year lease

Placed a deposit for VW Up at Pulman Durham via salesman on Thursday 5th September who took deposit and organised for the car to be valeted and ready for viewing on the following day. Arrived as planned to be told by salesman that the car was being used a service loan vehicle was not available and still was covered in Pulman graphics. He had been far too busy to call me and tell me this. Requested refund at time. Now Tuesday 10th September pm and still waiting for deposit to be returned. Found another vehicle from a competitor and had a an altogether completely different experience. Shocking customer from Pulman, you should be ashamed!

Don't buy from Pulman Volkwagen in Durham, they are not interested. We went with an appointment to test drive and discuss buying a new car, the salesman who I made the appointment was not there (on a day off) and they didn't even have the car in to test drive as arranged (the salesman had taken it with him on his day off) The man who saw us just shrugged his shoulders and didn't even apologise. We never even got an apology later either. Solution for us, we went to another main dealer, got excellent service and ordered a brand new car same day. My advice is don't bother with them and go to someone who wants your business.

On 31st October i took my car to Pullmans Volkswagen Durham for a Major Service and MOT and accepted the offer of a free health check. I was told wipers were split and needed to be replaced to psss mot which i agreed to have done Imagine my surprise to find that the car had a failed MOT certificate (and on the DVLA record) on this issue, the wipers were replaced then the car was given a pass certificate. I understood the health check was to flag up issues and to have them rectified before the MOT or else what is the point of it. Also is it not logical and good practise to do the service before the MOT !! This is my second experience of this kind at the same garage. Last year when my car was in again for service and MOT I was asked if I had any concerns. I said that I did believe there was a problem with the brake calipers and could they look at them for me. Again they gave the car a failed MOT replaced the caliper then gave it a pass certificate. The car now has a record of fails for everyone to see at VOSA/DVLA through no fault or negligence from myself. The result is they still fail your car regardless of major service or health check which anyone would know should be carried out before mot.My advice dont have a service or health check at the same time as mot it makes know diffence to the outcome of failing your m.o.t.

Looking at trading in my 14 plate A£ saloon for a newer TT. Dealing with James Earnshaw last week. Was left on Friday that he would work out some PCP figures for me and come back to me to see if it was an option. He was working all weekend might I add. Anyway, car sold Saturday and he didn't bother to email me/ call to let me know. I was waiting until today (Wednesday) for a response and only got one as I called 6 times and the receptionist told him to email me as soon as he could. Response was a cop-out. didn't respond as payments higher than I hoped for. even though I could stretch more and it was affordable still. Terrible customer service all they interested in is a quick buck and not the customer at all. Will never purchase a car from here, no wonder I always deal with Audi direct.
