The vehicle we purchased from Quality Cars Epping had been subject to a front end bump we were not told about and only noticed after we checked M.O.T and service documents. After being concerned the coolant tank was empty after our initial test drive it was filled with water by Richard and we were reassured that it drives excellent and we should have nothing to worry about. At that point knowing little about engines but taking that advice in good faith we bought the van. Many top ups to the coolant tank were quickly empty so we had it checked out by a local mechanic who showed us the radiator had a historical crack from the bump and fluid was falling out. More alarmingly it had been driven hundreds of miles with no coolant fluid before we even took ownership. We decided to have radiator replaced but this did not completely fix the coolant issues when driven at higher speeds and it had signs of possible head gasket problems as a consequence of being driven with no coolant fluid. At this point to avoid further risks we initiated our legal right to reject the vehicle and informed Quality Cars in writing we wanted a full refund as it was sold faulty. Even with the refund, for the total of 24 days owning it we could only use it for 5 days due to coolant issues and we are now back at square one with no vehicle, a month wasted, over £400 out of pocket after paying part of radiator replacement, cancellation of insurance, road tax etc on top of all the disappointment and stress. All things considered we are left to conclude Richard and his son are either unbelievably ignorant and know nothing about the basic condition of the vehicles they sell or are a pair of chancers who tried to palm off a faulty engine while coming across as very friendly and overall dismissive of the initial concerns. Either way it's unnerving and we thought it best we share our experience to inform others and also as a lasting reminder to Richard to be more thorough with his vehicles and correct issues before advertising and stop risking other peoples time and money with reasonably foreseeable issues. The bottom line is, this negative feedback could've been easily avoided if Richard had carried out standard checks and obvious repairs to this vehicle before selling to us.
Car was in a awful state over priced and scratches all at the back doors. Would I recommend this dealer no sorry.
