AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS. Car purchased was a Vauxhall Astra GTC, immediately I had to get the breaks replaced. Following faults over 12 months of having the vehicle: Turbo collapsed (needed new turbo and manifold) New headlight (headlight was faulty) New clutch Oil pipe feed was from a different vehicle (Ford) New breaks, (they must have oiled them as almost immediately the breaks were finished) Coolant tank and subsequent issues Cost of repairs on a £4000 vehicle so far = £2000+ This car was not fit for purpose and should never have been sold. Please avoid this delearship and go elsewhere for you're car, otherwise you'll end up in a dangerous situation!

Car was sold with serious faults. Trader has many years of experience and enough mechanical know how to identify faults BEFORE selling it on their forecourt. They hope a Warranty will solve all the issues should you ever succumb to a failure. Use your finance company if any faults arise Be AWARE of your consumer rights Be AWARE they do not have a transparent means of contact - only ever phone calls never a paper trail or email Be AWARE that they are VERY clever at the 'sales game' so take a mechanic if you really want to purchase a vehicle from the establishment. Be AWARE that one day someone/people may encounter serious issues as a result of this companies unprofessional approach to car safety. Will it be you?

Bought an 09 Ford Transit Connect from these ‘people’ for £3500. Test drive was okay, no problems. Three days after purchase, I broke down as the head gasket had gone. Emailed and rang them and asked for a refund. That’s when the friendly turned nasty! Refused to give me a refund. I contacted trading standards who said you have to give the garage the chance to repair the vehicle first. I told the garage I wanted a new head gasket, not just skimmed. Wasn’t done. Told them I couldn’t drive it so they came out to my home and ‘fixed’ it in the road. Left no documentation to say what they’d done. So far I’ve spent over £1500 to fix numerous problems. The brake pipe was corroded, seals on the doors weathered and let rain in, all sensors had to be replaced, there’s still an oil leak, suspension arms and anti roll bar joints severely deteriorated. The list is endless. Have you noticed that the majority of the ‘good’ reviews state that they have had problems with their cars ? I can’t believe they’re still trading. Take your hard earned money elsewhere. Anyone who’s had a bad experience with these guys, please feel free to contact me.

I brought a £2000 car from r b cars. Had a cooling problem & couldn't believe the after sales support. They didn't hesitate to collect my car from my house, fix it & re deliver it. Its a shame not all garage's give the same friendly support unbelievable. Definitely be going back.
In short they sold a lemon and after two opportunities to fix the same problems pieces started falling off the car and the repairs lasted a few days at most. A refund was requested at 2 1/2 weeks after purchase date. They refused the refund and refused to comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Now I am having to follow the ombudsman and legal routes to recover the money spent at their establishment. Avoid at all costs unless you have an independent mechanic check over the car thoroughly first!

Tim in response to Dodgy Dealer
Exactly the same happened to me. I requested a refund after 5 days of buying the van because the head gasket went, among other things. Refused. I requested a new head gasket, they bodged a repair on it instead. Still having problems with it now, almost two years after buying it. Saved all the emails and voicemails they sent me when I asked for my money back. Was good evidence for trading standards etc.
Wouldn’t cooperate reasonably did get cash but lumbered with a faulty van he said he would give me a decent one and would cut his losses sell it at auction but changed his mind and gave me a meagre £800 to end his involvement not mine I have to go through this again but a decent van from a decent garage hopefully I will

Bought a used car from this dealership only had it for a couple of weeks before we went into lockdown I started to notice things going wrong with the car and had no way of contacting them after lockdown took it for a service and was told should not of passed mot as the subframe had been welded together and now has a whole in it brake pipes were corroded and only put down as advisory’s when contacted owner passed the buck onto the mot people they did the same absolute shonky operation avoid at all cost.
I've recently purchased an audi A6 from these guys which Im extremely pleased with. We found the owner and staff of R B Cars were very polite and helpful and I'd definitely recommend buying your next car from them..

I brought a Suzuki Vitara from these people and as soon as I got in the car an engine management light was on .I called straight away and explained .I booked it in the garage when home and when part was fitted and they paid over the phone .Hopefully the end of the issue .Still no service manual though but blame myself for that as didn’t ask when I brought the car
I so wish I had read reviews on RB Cars before parting with my hard-earned cash. We travelled from Weston super mare to this garage to look at the car and when all seemed well, we done the deal. On chatting to the salesman, we enquired about the cam belt due to the mileage of the car. The salesman claimed to go and make a call to his mechanic to find out if it was a belt or chain driven. On his return he advised that vehicle wouldn’t need a cam belt change as it was chain driven. GREAT!! That saved us a few quid….so we thought. We were advised that the vehicle wouldn’t be ready for a week as they would be servicing it before collect. ALL PART OF THE SERVICE! A week later we collected my new car, I was over the moon. (ok this wasn’t brand new, but it was still new to me) along with a 3 month warranty to cover parts etc. However, within a couple of weeks I was driving on the motorway and noticed the car juddering at certain speeds. I took the car to my local garage and as told the Injector seal had gone, and as I had only had the car a few weeks and this sort of issue didn’t happen overnight I decided to email RB Motors with the issue I had. I also contacted the warranty company and yes you have guessed it the warranty doesn’t cover issue like this. So over £100 out of pocket already. I never got a response to my email…. GREAT AFTER SERVICE…NOT! Weeks later chatting to a friend with a ford Kuga and happened to mention the fact that we had saved money as we didn’t need to change the cam belt due to it being chain driven. My friend nearly fell off his chair laughing saying who told you that rubbish. So back to my local garage I went and sure enough the car is belt driven and another £400 out of pocket. Then a few days later, while out driving in a heavy storm I noticed the front dash was all wet. The windscreen was leaking bad. Now yet again this isn’t something that happens overnight. This should have been picked up on while on the forecourt. YES, I know this was an easy fix through my insurance company, but I still had to pay the excess and it still should have been something that should have been sorted before the car was prepped for sale. The straw that has now broken the camels back and to be honest I think I have put up with more than enough to date. this weekend the engine management light came on. By now I’m a regular down my local garage, so off I go. (to date I have only done 2000 miles) I have just been advised that the oil is so old it’s done at least 22,000 miles. And the filters have never been changed. I find this very strange as the salesman told me that I couldn’t have the car for a week because it had to go for a service which included oil and filter change. I am absolutely fuming…. As not only has this garage fed me bullshit, they have made the 3-month warranty void as any issues Id had with the car would have been put down to the oil. They even had the cheek to stamp the service book for works that haven’t even been done. So, another bill coming my way!! Shouldn’t be allowed to trade.
