I am 66 disabled and just got out of hospital after my hernia operation. Part exchanged my 2011 audi A3 1.6tdi manual, for a 2006 Ford fiesta automatic. Paid £200 deposit and £1,800 cash on delivery a,week later. I needed an automatic as I could no longer drive my manual audi A3 as it was too painful. Richard axford said he would fit a new timing belt kit and service the car wit a 12 months Mot. Delivery on the 7.8. 24. I paid him his £1,800 cash balance and off he went with my audi on his recovery vehicle. When I went through the paperwork he hadn't given me a receipt for the purchase or the current mot or the receipt for the service and timing belt kit fitting. I took the car to my local garage and the straight away said the offside rear tyre has a massive bulge on the outside. The timing belt and water pump haven't been changed!! Now Mr Richard axford has stopped answering my calls and texts. Now I have found out he has 6 dissolved companies involving car sales etc and one of the worst con men i have ever dealt with!! Never ever buy a car from this man or any company involving him. E.g transporter world Abergavenny. Racecourse garage chepstow. Lifestyle automotive. Axy (2005) Ltd. Carioca business park Sawley Road Manchester. If i could give 0 stars it would be too much. you have been warned⚠️ .
My daughter in law bought her first car from A Lamb. £6500, which was all her savings. It came supposedly having been serviced. 3 month warranty. Timing belt went after 4 months and engine destroyed. I know they have no legal obligation after the 3 month period, but fairness would surely dictate more than washing their hands of her, which is what they did. Poorly maintained car sold and no responsibility taken. Never again.

I bought a Dacia Duster. When I collected the car on a hot day in July, Clive was spraying water on the windscreen - half way home I saw the chip in the windscreen. He also said that it had had a full service and new MOT - on the service stamp he'd written checked not serviced and the MOT only had 9 months left. I paid £100 deposit that was refundable and the finance company paid the full amount for the car. Clive wont refund the deposit. I rang 2 or 3 times a week for 4 months and Clive always said he would sort it but he didnt. I paid it in good faith - Clive even wrote on the receipt that it was refundable - he wont refund it! I WOULD NEVER BUY A CAR - OR ANYTHING ELSE FROM THIS GARAGE! I cant believe that people are such liars - so dishonest!!

I bought a car Black Merc PX13TMZ on the 19th of May. They told me the car would be ready in a week. After that it was stories after stories until i told them i wanted my Deposit back £1163 and its been 5 weeks of 'I'll be processed today and should have it tomorrow or check your account'. I bought the car via Choosemycar and have asked for help but nothing. Choosemycar managed to speak to the owner Richard and he blamed all on this Paul guy. I just want my money and move on. It was unfortunate I read the reviews after i had paid my deposit. They've paid back the finance but refusing to pay me😡😡😡😭. Don't use them.
The engine management light came on 3 days after we drove it home. Turns out it should never have passed an MOT and was dangerous. The inspection company found over 15 issues. Clive and Richard refuse to give money back. They will avoid your calls. Do not buy a car from them, read the reviews and take note.

I bought a Range Rover which was supposed to have a proper 12 month guarantee,,,it was supposed to be serviced.....the air con had no gas in it and the parcel shelf is missing. Despite many, many attempts they paid me back for the re-gas but never produced a proper guarantee or replaced the parcel shelf. Fortunately I bought on HP so I am returning the vehicle for a full refund 6 months later and 8000 miles.....

Sadly very disappointed by the feedback Over charged by £200 This is a lot of money to us Spoken with Clive over 30 times Each time he says yes our fault refund in your bank today This never happens Clive blames accounts !

I'd recommend reading the 1 star reviews and avoid this garage. If you do choose to buy a car from them, check, and check again that any work they promise has actually been completed. I dealt with Clive and the owner, who promised to get work done on the car, and also provide a code for the stereo (battery had died) and "dig out l" the manuals etc. Friendly and really accommodating. Turns out they're stereotypical car salesmen. Later found out that the work hadn't been done and I chased been chasing them for 6 months. During this time I even had to drive back down there to sort this out, only to be told that Clive was not there today (I'd just seen him in the workshop) and be faced with an owner who became confrontational and made promises which, I could of predicted, were not kept and I had to keep chasing them. At the same time a couple were there who had called and arranged a time to look at a car, driven miles, only to be told the car had been sold. Eventually traded the car in at a reliable dealership (£2k loss!) as it started having so many problems that I knew it was going to be a money pit. Ironically, my father in law found a Range Rover he was interested in, and sent the link to me. Spotted it was from there so he'll be looking elsewhere. Glad I could help at least 1 person avoid their bad service.
I bought a car from Racecourse in September. They told me the car had been freshly serviced and Mot'd. The undertray fell off on my drive home. Within days the service light came on which they told me to reset myself. The gearstick was detached when I collected the car but they told me they would send me a new one which they didn't despite many calls. The aircon I was told just needed a regas, got this done and it still didn't work. One of the doors didn't open from the inside and the wipers where falling apart. All from a freshly serviced and Mot'd vehicle that had just gone through one of their pre delivery inspections. I called the garage many times to try and get the issues rectified to no avail so the finance company have stepped in to deal with it. Would not recommend!!!
