Car Dealer Reviews is an

Very rude staff who obviously think they are above people (think his name was richard). Over priced cars, went in for a browse as wanted a new car as their pressure tactics didnt work he became rather rude and uninterested. Wish I checked reviews on here before visiting as sounds like this place has a bad reputation!!
My partner and I visited the dealership to view a used vehicle we had already seen online. We were greeted by a young man who happily showed us the vehicle and took us for a test drive. This young mans service was faultless he was genuinely friendly and happy to talk to us. As soon as he started to drive the car he stated that the tracking was clearly off which he stated would be resolved prior to any sale. He stated that there was 3 month warranty and it would be MOT'd and serviced prior to collection. Brilliant we thought! We were happy with the vehicle and we noticed that half of the covering of the handbrake was missing, pretty much the only issue we spotted apart from tracking. We were going to buy it, cash buyers happy to sign there and then UNTIL..... We went into the office and spoke to the young man and an older man who I believe is the manager. We stated that the young man was correct, the tracking was definitely off to which the older man apologised for. We then mentioned the handbrake casing and whether it was knocking about anywhere. Again no issues raised apart from these. We then asked whether there was any budge on the price we were happy to buy but for the cars age we believed it was a tad over priced. This was where the older man started explaining that the cost goes into the service received ie making sure car was perfect before it went out. This is fine surely they all should do this; however he then went on to state that we couldn't go in " demanding this that and the other" and then expect a lower price. This referring to the tracking that THEY pointed out to us and a handbrake casing that we only pointed out to see if it was knocking about the garage! His demeanour became VERY RUDE and CONFRONTATIONAL. We challenged this as we believed we weren't being demanding asking for these simple issues to be resolved. He proceeded to tell us that they want their cars perfect so we don't have to go back. The example being if we went back with faulty brake pads and discs a week after purchasing it then we "wouldn't have a leg to stand on" surely with a 3 month warranty we would be covered!!?? It was very clear this man wasn't to be trusted! We left the office knowing that this dealership had lost a sale. We were then followed out by this gentleman onto the car park who stated that he had "clearly offended us" and because "its Christmas with good will and all that he will knock it down". We declined this lame offer (£195) purely due to this mans attitude. He is all charm until you show a bit of initiative and know what you are on about. Funny how he followed us out showing he knew his ATTITUDE STUNK! Also funny how this car (if so desirable) has been sitting on his forecourt since September and had to have a new battery replaced. This man was going to get a guaranteed sale and because of his sheer very obvious greed and his very RUDE behaviour and attitude towards us we happily walked away. We expect car dealerships to want to earn money at the end of the day it's their business but this vehicle was over priced for what it was. In all honesty if this man states that we wouldn't have a leg to stand on a week after purchase then it makes me wonder how difficult things could become if any issues came up and what else they would become confrontational about. If you want to be taken for a fool, spend more money than a car is worth and be spoken to like you're taking the mick asking for a simple job like tracking to be sorted then by all means this is the dealer for you. But there are better out there better value and more importantly better attitudes!
I bought a 4x4 from this dealer and thought he was a charming man and very understanding. BUT after I done the deal he said that it would be serviced etc before I had it. I turned up the day we agreed on 4 days after and went to take my 4x4 and there was a bald tyre on it, fair play he changed it after a 2 hour wait, however that sent alarm bells ringing SO I asked him has it been serviced and he said yes and even stamped the service book. After buying the car I took it to an MOT tester as I had concerns to the brakes and he said the discs would need replacing and should of not been sold as it was and also he checked if had been serviced IT HAD NOT BEEN SERVICED. The fuel filter/ air filter etc was all old. I contacted the owners wife and she said they didnt service the car. Just spot check them, I had some more problems and so I got in contact with the warranty company and they said take it to independent garage and get quotes ect. I went to 9 garages and only 5 out of the 9 garages would only do the work if I paid up front as they have had problems in getting paid from the warranty people in the past this was not just one garage and for me to claim it back. IN THE END I PAID FOR THE REPAIRS AND SERVICE OUT OF MY OWN POCKET...I WOULD NOT BUY FROM RACECOURSE GARAGE AGAIN. I have only put this up late as I didn't no there was a review site if I had known it would of been done earlier. TO warn others before they buy.
I bought a car on Monday the 17/08/15. On returning home I found a fault and there was a scratch that was quite deep on the inside of the windscreen. Today the 20/08/15 after numerous phone calls, a representative turning up two days late at my home to confirm there is a problem, At this point I was told "If you carry on complaining we will do nothing for you" (and this is the clean version of what was said). Excellent customer service from the wife of the owner, could even be a partner owner but such class from a garage that is family run and prides its self on 27 years in the motor trade and there high standards. After another call I was told that what would happen is that there MOT tester would inspect the car and his decision was final. I raised a concern and suggested that a independent tester would ease my mind, no he is totally independent as he even though he works for them and that is that. Another reason was that I had beaten them down so much on price that there was not any profit left for repairs . The independent Racecourse Garage fully qualified MOT tester found that he would issue a advisory notice on the car if he was to MOT today. However as MOT testers have a degree of discretion another tester could fail the car that he would issue a advisory notice on. It's all on the day and tester. So if you want your customer service after care with abuse and we agreed to sell you a car at £5500 cash but if there's a problem let's hope there's enough profit left in it to get repaired and a MOT tester who was quite amazed that I wouldn't have bought the car had he done the MOT and advised the windscreen had a problem. Advisory is that the problem will worsen. But it didn't matter as they didn't do the MOT. But someone else could fail it. I would highly recommend this family run garage with there high standards. When a lady is telling you that she will do nothing to help you (again clean version of her words) it screams class. Or you could find another local garage?. We all have choices and maybe reviews and others experiences to go on. Me I have the sale of goods act, fit for purpose.
I would recommend Racecourse Garage as they was really helpful, I did have a couple of issues that were dealt with but I feel that could of been deal with quicker. Overall 4 out of 5, and still come with recommendation from me.

Racecourse Garage was just generally good, when we met we managed to come to an agreement on the price which was good. They had cleaned the car and got it ready for us nicely so I cant fault them

In purchasing a car this year from the Racecourse Garage I did have a few issues that took a little while to resolve, all but 1 were resolved in the end. I would say in general that they were helpful.
