Rake Car Sales sold me a car that was a total dog. Finally they took it back to repair it. I haven’t had the car back or heard from them since. Currently down over £5500. These guys are crooks.

I wish I’d read your review before I bought a car from this crook last August. It’s now May and despite the fact that I know the fault is irreparable (and that he knew about the fault before he sold me the car), he still hasn’t refunded my £3,400. He kept insisting he would sort out the problem and that I should keep driving the car meanwhile - and he’s now got the cheek to propose that he should deduct from the refund 45p per mile I’ve travelled in it since August, suggesting that I’ve enjoyed 9 months of “free motoring”. It defies belief. If he doesn’t give me a refund I will be taking him to court - but who needs this aggravation? I thought I was buying from a reputable, local, honest dealership... How he is still trading I have no idea, but I have now reported him to the Trading Standards Authority.
