I purchased a car from Rawdon Motors and was assured that the faults with the vehicle would be rectified. From the reviews online I believed this would be the case. Unfortunately after multiple trips back to Leeds these are still not resolved. I have requested that the car be returned and so far have been unable to reach agreement on this. I keep being told parts are on their way but they get delayed or returned due to customs. I constantly have to chase for updates. This has not been a good experience so far. 3/11 wrote to Rawdon formally to seek resolution and no response received to date.

For several months, I searched for a Jeep Wrangler, but the only options I found were subpar. I had nearly given up hope until I discovered Rawdon Motors in Leeds, which had a pristine model in stock. It was an excellent representation of its year, and its condition was remarkable. The team at Rawdon Motors truly went the extra mile ensuring my experience was seamless. They even treated the underside of the vehicle, at no extra cost addressing my primary concern about rust, as these models are know for that issue. Rawdon Motors surpassed my expectations by ensuring the car was perfect which I greatly appreciated after travelling a long distance. Furthermore, their after sales service has been exceptional, the staff are incredibly friendly and I would wholeheartedly recommend them, Jo Lee.

Thank you for your patience and knowledge helping us choose my daughter’s first car . You were so considerate of her safety ( also her indecision !! ) and our budget . The car is perfect as was your customer service - thanks again you lovely lot at Rawdon motors xxx My turn next !
I would strongly advise you avoid this garage if you don’t want to be strung along, conned or racially abused. I came to view a car which had been advertised as having ‘full service history’, but when I asked to see it, it transpired that the previous owner had not yet passed it to the garage. When the manager, Mark, did eventually track down the service history, it only had MOT receipts and around four service receipts despite the car being almost 20 years old. After I raised the issue, the Mark became very aggressive and started threatening me with legal action, saying he would take me to court and spend whatever it took as he had ‘more money than I would ever have’. But more worryingly, he said that if I had been ‘Pakistani or Asian’ I would already be ‘outside face down on the concrete’ for having wasted his time. I recorded this conversation on my phone, as I had been warned that certain members of staff had been threatening towards customers in the past. However, I didn’t expect the language to be so foul and racist. If you are looking for an honest garage who will do their best to help, this is about as far from that as it’s possible to get. I hope no one else has to go through this experience and I strongly advise you steer well clear. What a top garage honestly i bought an Isuzu D-max having searched up and down the country found one here At Rawdon a whole £1000 cheaper than anywhere else, and for the year was Mint .......... please read this recommendation, you can trust these guys and they sell quality at the best price
I saw a car for sale with these guys on autotrader. The main thing that attracted me was the fact they offer 12 month warranty for peace of mind, which is important to me. The whole process of buying the car was effortless, and overall a great experience. I would definitely recommend buying from these guys, first class service 👍👍

Mark Howe in response to Excellent
Trying to remove my positive review but it won't let me. Cars battery needs repacing 6 weeks afrer purchasing car, (to the tune of £150 which shouldn't happen if all checks have been completed, dealer doesn't want to know. So much for 12 months without anything to pay out! Find a car elsewhere 👍
After many months searching for my car, I finally saw the one on auto trader being sold at Rawdon Motors. The issue for me was I lived in Essex, I called and told them I was coming to look, following the answers to some questions, they said they they would hold on to it. I arrived at the office the following day, they had done a full valet, service, inspection and handed me the keys. I took it for a test drive, then did the deal they even sorted the tax for me. Points to note, there was half a tank of fuel in it, they at no point hounded me to buy the car. In a world that accepts, celebrates and delivers mediocrity, its great to know small businesses like this exist that try harder. They delivered more than I expected, now I'm at home as a satisfied customer. It's unlikely I will do business with them again given the distance between us, but I would certainly recommend them.

Purchased a vehicle in May 2022 to the tune of £15k. It was 5 years old and had done 40k miles, certainly not an older banger and I thought it would be a reliable car. I test drove it for a few miles and everything seemed okay. On the drive home, around 40 miles away from their showroom a fault developed with the vehicle. I managed to get the car home and phoned them straight away, along with a local main dealer of the vehicle manufacturer and another local independent garage. Advice from Rawdons was to drive it around for a few days and see how I got on. Probably the worst advice you could be given when the fault relates to a red engine oil pressure warning light. I was happy to see if the vehicle could be repaired first, and to be fair to Rawdons they paid the bill for a diagnostic and the replacement of a faulty sensor which the diagnostic had picked up. Unfortunately the fault persisted after the initial repair, and likely a larger fault was at play. I got a follow up diagnostic from my local main dealer, FOC as it was included as part of the initial diagnostic paid and the technicians report from the follow up diagnostic stated the fault was still present. I explained this to Rawdons and requested a refund, within the 30 days of purchase. This is when they started getting difficult. Ignoring calls became the norm, and when I could get through I was met with false promises and call backs that just never materialised. The owner Mark was never available, and there was always a convenient excuse for him to hide behind his sales men. Rawdons finally agreed to collect the car to inspect it themselves, and this is after escalating the refund request. The vehicle was towed back to them. Proof again the vehicle was deemed unsafe to drive, and they knew it. Although they were quite happy for me to run the risk of driving it. After a few days wait and then being told there was nothing wrong with the car, and that I would not be getting my money back and then the cheek of being asked when I will collect the car from them, I informed Mark I would be enlisting the help of a solicitor and using every resource available to me to get my money back. Solicitor letters were sent to Rawdons, not surprisingly they were also ignored. I decided to contact the bank to start the chargeback process before issuing court proceedings. This was the final step before going to court, that would come at the least cost and convenience to me. I also contacted the DVLA and explained the situation to them, and they agreed I would no longer be the registered keeper and get the vehicle tax I had paid back. This was also submitted as evidence to the bank. Every step of the way I ensured I was acting within the guidelines of the consumer rights act (2015), so I knew exactly what I could and should be entitled to. After three separate evidence submissions and detailed written reports outlining every step of the awful experience, including a copy of the solicitors letter that was sent, the technicians report from the diagnostic and the follow up diagnostic report, the chargeback was resolved in my favour in January 2023. The car was purchased May 2022. The refund request was made June 2022 and I finally got every penny back by January 2023. Let this be a warning to anyone who may be thinking of doing business with this trader. Do yourself a favour and take your hard earned money somewhere else. I’m fairly confident the majority of the 5 star reviews about this place are fictitious, and after digging a bit deeper I have found a number of other unfortunate consumers who have found themselves in similar positions to myself, some more financially worse off! I was without my money and a car that I could use for its intended purpose for a total of 235 days.
