Review for Redline Harrogate We purchased our Jaguar earlier this year and waited until after the £572 service and MOT (including a health check) to write this review. One major tip: use a browser extension to track price changes on AutoTrader. Redline tends to raise their prices and act oblivious when confronted, then pretend they’re doing you a favor by honoring the original price. Additionally, don’t let them pressure you into part exchanging your car. Ben Taylor included our VW T-Roc in a part exchange deal without our consent, which we fortunately caught in the paperwork. This led to frustrating back-and-forths with the manager, Paul, who claimed they couldn’t release our new car without the part exchange. It was an unnecessary hassle and stress. We eventually got the car at the original price, but the experience left a bitter taste. We had asked for a service before taking the car, but they refused and recommended a place that turned out to be part of the same company. The recent health report on the car highlighted rusted brake discs with pitting and bad brake fluid, issues that could have been addressed before we took the car. From the start, we felt like second-class customers. We understand they sell high-end cars and a Jaguar might not be their usual fare, but we didn’t feel valued. We wouldn’t recommend this company; they just happened to have the car we wanted.

Bought my RS3 from these guys part exing a defender 90 smooth deal and easy, then this week I sold them a Lambo Urus S that I had sat at another dealer in preston who didn’t sell it, no problem they bought it off me for a fair price Great company
Charlie was very good to deal with. Very professional outfit. Would highly recommend.

they sold me an Audi r8 v10+ which drove good but then a month later I found out the car had 14,200 miles more than they had advertised, they sold me a clocked car. I told them about it but they blamed it on me. avoid with a barge pole

Thanks for your review, Ewen - although you have reviewed the wrong business as we don't have a customer with your name. Additionally, all our cars are purchased with great care, mileage checked and inspected before sale so this definitely isn't us. We would respectfully request you remove your review. Thanks.
I was volunteering in Ukraine on the front line for 3 months delivering medical aid & food saving lives and left my family (Ukrainian) in the U.K, after 3 months they were upset and I came back to buy my wife her dream car that she’s been obsessed for 3 years. decided to surprise her & make her dreams come true. My wife was so happy she was crying for most of the day in joy. Bought the car from redline & paid fully the same day, I do things honest & fast & had to be back in Ukraine on the front pretty quick. We had a very urgent large medical donation in the U.K & I decided to take it 6 days after buying the car from redline in the car a Mercedes GLC63s as there was no van available, I squashed all the medicine in. Set off straight away to Ukraine within a week of buying the car, driving all motorways on cruise control. Got there in around 2 days & the car lost power. Took it to a local garage who works with Mercedes & they advised me the spark plug/s look really bad (you would assume Redline would check these thing but obviously not). Spoke to Oliver (sales redline) who advised me “don’t worry whatever it is we will sort it out” as they assumed it was something small. I though the same but about £700 later and another specialist they told me there is a hole in the piston in cylinder 3. On a car with 11,000 miles I had bought 7 days earlier?? I was panicked like never before breaking down in a war zone, already 3 months of stress and depression from war and spoke again to Oliver and he replied “Just take it to a dealer mate and see what they say. Mercedes are the one at fault. Not us” The exact words from redline they refused after less than 10 days of my purchase to take the car back despite that been against the law! It seems they think they are ABOVE the law… I broke down in the middle of a war zone & that’s their “solution” when its clearly their RESPONSIBILY & according to the law THEIR FAULT. Left it then parked up as I had missions to complete & saving lives was more important than a car. Oliver then told me by email again that I have to take it to Mercedes even though I didn’t buy it from Mercedes “I have been told by my director, that if you fail to take it there within the warranty period, we will not warrant it ourselves thereafter.” shipped car back to U.K direct to Mercedes at a cost of £3000 to my pocket (redline didn’t offer to help bring back the car), they questioned why the exhaust (catalyst) looks quite new which redline told me is £6000 & accused me replacing the Mercedes exhaust with a new Mercedes exhaust.. How and why is beyond me.why would I need to waste £6000 on it? Must have been last owner or redline & accused me of doing this AFTER the engine had already blown up. everyone knows an exhaust has nothing to do with an engine piston blowing up. Mercedes told me they believe the cause of the engine damage was a bad spark plug which the mechanic in Ukraine had the same idea, but they wanted to send away my engine computer 3 months to amg,& pay £65,000 + fitting temporarily for a new engine which is not going to happen then wait another 3 months for the engine to go to AMG, Redline AGAIN think they are above the law. They tried to pin the blame on me a few other times that I don’t have the bad spark plug which Mercedes & the garage presume blew up the engine. They also tried the “you didn’t go to official Mercedes in Ukraine when you broke down” nonsense, it’s not like I can find a Mercedes dealer open in a war zone & it’s not needed/forms part of any law. ABSOLUTE COWBOYS with no heart who care ONLY about ££! They have my wife’s car & my £61,000 & spending money trying to find professionals inspectors to dig them out of this mess rather than putting it right, I even offered to take a used engine which they declined, theyre obsessed with not spending a penny to put morally right their own problems. I & my circle of friends/people I know go through a lot of performance cars, it’s a shame they destroy themselves with greed. Want my money back which Robert the director in a letter refused they accused me of tuning the car just as they don't want to pay out, (was no need to tune the car anyway it was 500+ hp when it worked!) bear in mind i haven't seen the car in months and it broke down days after buying... this experience has left me feeling sick. then they went on a campaign of harassment against me.

Ed from Redline Specialist Cars in response to defrauded me £61,000, car engine blew up
Thanks your for your review Jonathan. Unfortunately neither Redline nor Mercedes-Benz UK were able to uphold your warranty claim as after extensive mechanical investigations, both Mercedes Benz and the world's premier independent automotive engineering assessor DEKRA found that you had modified your car extensively outside the UK (remap and removal of the catalytic converters) by a non-approved garage which the a mechaniccal failure. They then found that you then returned the car to the UK, and fitted new parts (presumably to cover this up. We tried to assist, however you then harrassed our staff and embarked on a PR campaign against us, despite the independent finding of both Mercedes and DEKRA. We're sorry you aren't happy, but we tried our best for you.
I purchased an Audi R8 v10 plus from redline, they were polite and it seemed all good, but later my friend using his diagnostic tool found that the gearbox had 12,300 miles more than everywhere else in the car. so the car they sold me had fake mileage, or clocked or blocked i think some people call it. i trusted them but they broke my trust i wouldn't recommend as it seems they sell cars without fully checking. be careful and better buy from main dealer. regards and slms Umair

Redline from Redline Specialist Cars in response to Sold me a car with incorrect mileage
Thank you for your fake review as part of your extensive campaign to overturn a manufacturers decision not to cover your car under warranty after you modified it outside the EU and then attempted to submit a warranty claim . We would encourage any potential customers to view our genuine reviews on Google or Trustpilot! Many thanks 😀
Having decided to sell my family to buy my new car it was a pleasure to deal with such a pleasant salesman (Neil). The whole process went without issue and handover was superb. I would recommend giving him a call.

Very Poor. Arrogant salesman Jonathon must have either had his best ever month or thought he was the best thing to hit the car sales business. Either way, my money has been spent elsewhere. I’ve bought lots of nice cars and this place had a nice showroom and some great looking stock. Sadly let down by condescending and cocky salesman. Made me walk away. And I won’t return. Happy to say, I found my car elsewhere and I won’t be back next time around. Poor show and you’ve lost my business and anyone who asks about my experience.
From first taking to Oliver I knew I was in good hands, no messing about just a very professional man who want to produce the best deal he could for me And sell me whst i wanted which he did. When I arrived to pick up my car at Redline showroom I was absolutely blown away, the presentation and hand over condition of my Jaguar was quite simply breath taking it was like new. I thank Oliver and Redline Specialist Cars for one of my best experiences of purchasing a very special car indeed and would have absolutely no hesitation in forwarding Oliver's details at Redline or recommending Redline specialist Cars if you are looking for something special, you won't be disappointed. Best regards David O'Gorman (A very satisfied customer)
