Wouldn’t recommend dealing with such a company, absolutely disgusting. Put my wife and daughter’s life in danger with a dodgy vehicle. Our solicitors are currently looking to SUE!!!! Stay well away.
Rhondda Motor Company LTD (owner) 7 months ago Thanks Andrew. You're welcome Charlotte Mcnaught 4 reviews I bought a car from here last September, after one week if driving it I broke down twice in one day and the breaks started makeing a load squealing sound, one of the back doors wouldn't open, the cd player didn't work and the speakers are temperamental, I spoke to rmc after I had taken it to my local garage where they told me there's a air leak, Rmc said they will have a look at the car when they had it for a week I got told there's nothing wrong with the car but they did fix the door problem. I didnt want the car back I asked for a refund which they refused When I had it back it had lacquer peeling on the front bumper which it didnt have when i dropped it off to rmc. It went to my local garage again after it broke down 4 times on they way there i had to pay my local garage £120 for find the problem which was a blocked throttle body rmc garage couldn't seem to find that problem even though the car stinks of petrol and the black smoke coming from that back didnt give them any hint definitely wouldnt advice going to the garage at the back on rmc clueless !!! , At that point I though my problem was solved it was worth just fixing than dealing with the lovely dan who when i bought the car was lovely but he's just a con man, Since September 2023 it has had new breaks which I can expect that's a normal maintenance thing for a car Two weeks ago I had to pay £660 for a new timing chain on the car I didn't know what the noise was when i bought the car but it was like it when i bought it I don't know much about car so it was easy for them at rmc to trick people like me to buying cars that are money pits I have since noticed the petrol tank leaks when it is full the start stop system on the car has always been unavailable so god knows how much that is going to cost me next I did see the bad reviews but I like to make my own mind up about thing shame I didn't listen it has cost me alot of money

Awful experience, let me look and test drive the car which initially seemed all well then very quick to get you back in the office, sat down to do the paperwork and payment. Do not trust this company, I went to buy a car from them, we travelled from Cheshire to south wales having an overnight stay due to the distance and nothing locally to me and everything of these cars down south. I did my due diligence, mot, service history checks but this company is a joke and con artists, I was buying a car as an old car I have was causing me problems and costing me a fortune, that I explained to the sales chap and called them to ask about the car and pretty much told me it was perfect mechanically so I bought the car in good faith, however within hours of me getting the car home it has air suspension and it started leaning, next the power steering sprung a big leak that leaked all over my driveway, they paid for a second hand suspension part to be fitted or offered me to take the vehicle back for them to look at despite me sending photos to them of the problems, due to distance and the hassle as would require another overnight stay, lift and if I got a refund and gave the car back which after now reading other people’s reviews I feel it’s unlikely they would’ve been of help so I opted for my home garage to do the work with second hand refurbished parts as agreed, cosmetically the car wasn’t great with a paint blemish on one side that I knew on purchasing it but with being a Lexus it didn’t really bother me as long as the mechanicals are good, that I was told we’re perfect and said I was coming a long way to view the car so I needed it to be as described, next I found the car to be mouldy and I personally think it’d been sitting with the sunroof not closed correctly or cleaned regularly and sat at the back of the forecourt then pulled out and polished a turd when they I heard I was interested, the photos of the car were great on their website, so as soon as they knew they had a buyer interested they polished a turd to out on the front, it still smells of mould inside now and I’ve had to get to damp soaking up bags to put under the seats, also the front passenger door speaker was blown, dashboard cracked which I know is a common problem with these but it added to my headache, the battery then gave out so I had a new one fitted and timing belt changed at the same time as was due not with mileage but age, then the suspension started leaning again which it still does now if it starts that is, anyway next my garage inspected it up here and found some bad rear subframe corrosion, brakes on their last legs too and now I’ve a heap of junk just sitting on my drive that won’t start, I usually look after my cars well, keep them clean and well maintained so this is down to Rhondda motor company as I’ve had mechanics out to it and they can’t fathem it out yet either, we’ve whittled it down to either the starter motor, gear selector issue or an electrical issue of some sort so far, it’s automatic too so it’s just stuck where it is and can’t move it, not easily anyway, so it’s next journey is on a trailer to the garage again, this is all within a year of buying a £5k car with so called good service and mot history and low mileage for the year, only on 90k miles still now, but anyway it’s back to square one as I was and still am with my old car with problems. I would certainly be wary of this company, I paid over the odds and travelled distance in hoping it was a good car but looking at it with all the problems it was overpriced by roughly £3k as that’s what it’s roughly worth now if that if I can get it started again and with all the other problems too. If I could give them less than one star it would be as now if get it started again, its next journey will be to we buy any car, probably get £500 for it if I can keep it starting and doesn’t break down which is my worst fear as now if I do get it started I can’t trust it to get me home, so I’ve lost £4.5k thanks to a dud car from this company. Be aware, do not trust them.

I recently had an experience with Rhondda Motor Company LTD that left me very disappointed. The customer service was far below the standard I expected from a so cold reputable company. Sales Process: The sales process was disorganized and confusing. It seemed like the left hand didn’t know what the right hand was doing. Response Time: The response time was another major issue. I had to wait for days to get a reply to my initial inquiry, and when I finally did, it was a generic response that didn’t address my specific questions. Follow-up emails were met with similar delays, making it impossible to get timely assistance. Customer Service: When I did manage to get through it was passed to a legal firm, the lack of empathy and unwillingness to help was startling. There was no attempt to understand my situation or to provide a solution. Instead, I was met with scripted responses that felt cold and impersonal. In conclusion, the poor customer service and inefficient sales process at Rhondda Motor Company LTD have made me realise that not all companies are customer friendly. A company that does not value its customers’ time or business is not one that I can recommend. I would urge anyone who purchases a vehicle has a thorough check by an external company like RAC or AA. So they can't hide behind legal people for their poor actions.

gwenda in response to fabulous service from staff
So, did you purchase a car from them, as anyone can be super friendly when selling you a car. Would like to know if you purchased a car from them and if you had any problems with it?
Fuel Gauge faulty - ran out of fuel Brake warning light on - back brakes worn to excess Dashboard display cuts out Horrific water ingress - inside the car is soaked Oil light coming on Driving home from the garage the brake warning light came on. After owning this car for 48 hours it ran out of fuel leaving me stranded but showing over half a tank on the gauge. I called the garage. They told me they were aware of the brake warning light fault, it's just a faulty connection, they had checked the actual brakes which were fine and I have to expect things like this with an older car. Being a mechanic of 40 years and knowing the trade, this gave me alarm bells and the impression I was dealing with someone who would make excuses and get aggressive if necessary rather than repair the car to a decent selling condition. Of course the brake warning system should be functioning correctly but this guy is arguing it. Regarding the fuel gauge I would have to return the car and leave it while they fixed it. As a mechanic, I decided to fix it myself. Here is what I found. The rear brakes did not have a connection fault they were in fact worn out. The inner brake pad will always wear out faster than the outer pad but the outer pad is easier to check. The wheels show no signs of being removed recently to allow for a full brake inspection. The fuel gauge - I guess they didn't know about it, neither did I. But buying a car with a 3/4 tank of fuel and then running out is unexpected expense. The car needed new senders which was quite expensive.. Water Ingress - this is the bit that annoyed me most as I believe it was known about and masked over. What I mean by that is there was a huge puddle under the passenger floor mat that MUST have been known about when vacuuming and prepping the car. The water stank of staleness and this was masked over with what appeared to be a full bottle of aftershave. Once that had evaporated the car is left with a strong stagnant odor that can not possible be overlooked. Fixing the fault is a major operation involving stripping out the interior, seats and carpets to dry them out. Finding and fixing the ingress is not always so easy either... So far I have sealed the sunroofs and no better. Tomorrow I am having the windscreen removed and resealed. I hope this fixes it. If it does not I will need to strip out the dashboard to see where it is coming in. Dashboard display works fine when the car is cold but fades and disappears as the car warms up. This is possibly due to the car being left sodden inside affecting the electrics. Either way, again, they used the car when it was hot so should have picked that up. The car had an oil change before I collected it but the oil light soon stated coming on when I was going around corners. I had to top the oil up by 3.5 litres to get it to the right level. Overall I appreciate it was a cheap car, but from a dealer forecourt it should not have had these faults it was palmed off on me with. I am just glad I can repair it myself rather than having to deal with them again.
