Excellent service. Had a New Hyundai ioniq handed over today and the team were wonderful. They could not do enough to help us! I would highly recommend them!

Hi. I was asked to drop my car off at 9.30 in the morning for an MOT and work for product recall. I didn’t get my car back until 5.50pm which seems a long time to do the small amount of work required. I guess what I am saying is it would be better customer service if you ran tighter schedules whereby the car was dropped off nearer the time it was going to be actually needed in the workshop. I would then not have been without my car all day. Everything else was very good but not so sure I would return unless the timing was more suitable to the customer rather than just making it easier for the garage. Stephen
We brought a used hyundai tucson (17 plate with 16000 miles on the clock)from Richmond hyundai Southampton and 6 months and 5000 miles it has been the worst and most stressful experience of car ownership ever. To start with the stop start didn't work and they told us it was because the battery had low charge and this was caused by the car being sat around on the forecourt but would not replace because the battery only has 2 year warranty also on a health check it come up the brakes were visually dangerously low and needed replacing straight away and the rear shock absorbers will need replacing soon. Both keys have had to have new batteries aswell at this point this was 3/4 months in. They also they tried to get us to service the car after 4 months even though the car was sold to us with a service which was not stamped in the book. The clutch has been slipping aswell after 4 and a half months of owning but after waiting for a month for it to be looked at they got it in and we have been waiting 3 weeks for it to be done and after 2 weeks they called to say that on the test drive after the new clutch was fitted there was a banging so they would have to take it back out and source the problem the clutch was not under warranty aswell so we had to fight like crazy to get them to pay for it we have had such a bad experience and service from this dealership and would 100% NOT recommend they have fobbed us off with every excuse in the book and basically said its our fault for buying a used car so as we stand the car has been in 3 or 4 times it still has the dodgy battery still needs new brakes still doesn't have the service stamp still needs new shock absorbers and has had a clutch but god knows what internal damage has been done in the process and we still don't have the car back yet. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Bunch of thieves i’ve been buying cars there for many years but never again they sold me a Hyundai Kona I asked them for a quote of a Towbar They quoted me nearly £1300 pounds I contacted Hyundai at Lymington they quoted me £480 pounds so Richmond Southampton trying to con me you can clearly see the difference in the price When I confronted them they just completely ignored me I even showed them a receipt for the job that was done, if I were you I should be very suspicious of their prices before you get ripped off and get a second opinion before you commit yourself I know where I’ll be by my Hyundai in future and it certainly won’t be Richmond

After being invited to reserved a used vehicle and paying the requested deposit I was informed 2 days later that Richmond had sold the vehicle to another party. They offered to source another vehicle to match the one sold at cost and as I still required a vehicle I accepted but after a further 9 days of waiting I received a call from the manager to inform me they were not able to source another vehicle and would not know when another would become available. He was sorry. I explained this was not acceptable and I considered the Richmond group were in breach of contract?? It is my intention to persue this matter but I cannot access loss and expense until I find and secure another vehicle to match the one sold. I would recommend that careful consideration be executed before dealing with this company and parting with any moneys What do you think? is this an acceptable service ??

A first class buying experience in every respect...this is how new car buying should be! Friendly and knowledgeable service from Sandeep who we found both charming and very professional in his approach. He helped us opt for a new Tucson which are thrilled with. Would definitely recommend in every respect, we enjoyed the whole process from our initial visit to a really thorough handover.

I purchased my car with them four years ago now. In fairness the car itself has had no problems but every year (except for this year) I have had to have an argument about dropping off and collecting the car as they normally close at 6pm and I cannot get there to drop off and collect by that time without having to take time off work (unpaid). This year was the first year I didn't have to deal with that conversation so I hope they have improved that part of the service. In the last two years I have also had to start paying for the courtesy car. The servicing also normally includes a mini valet, but this year is the first year they have done it. I have confronted them about this when they didn't do it previously and they said they would put a note on my account to drop my car off next time I am in the area to get the car done - showed up one day and they said that isn't how the system works...Also the car had to be put through the MOT re-test on the same day after failing the first time this year due to two lightbulbs being gone - each cost me £30 to replace (bulbs cost £7 in Halfords) so it felt a bit like they were taking advantage. I also wondered why they didn't do a check of the car during the service in preparation for the test to save time. I also pay £28 per month on top of the car payments to pay towards the service etc. but there is quite a lot that is not covered by the £28 per month and so you still have a bill nearly every time to pay. Therefore I requested that the payments were stopped last year as I was still paying a bill on top of the monthly payments and decided it would be smarter to just put £28 aside each month myself in my own account so I can decide what goes towards on the service, not them. I asked them to check what is paid by the money leftover by the monthly payments and how much is left in that balance almost a year after stopping the payments when I informed them that I will not be getting the car serviced in the garage now that the warranty is over. It took a few days to find out that there is quite a bit in the balance which was an effort to find out about. They have not been at all transparent about the remaining balance and had no intention of telling me that there was money left in the account which I never would have used again. As such, my confidence in the dealership is totally gone, I am still waiting to be refunded the money a month later and have heard nothing from them - I have to keep ringing to chase them down on this.
Back in mid June 2020 my Hyundai Santa Fe 2011 (I purchased this car from them back in 2015) has breakdown on M27(J7). The car wouldn't start. I called RAC for help and unfortunately they couldn't find the fault but they managed to get the car back to my home address. Next day (Monday I believe) I called Richmond Hyundai Southampton and made all the arrangements to get the car transported on the platform in order to be investigated & checked why it doesn't start! I have been told that this check will cost me £75! In the first day (afternoon) I've been told that they couldn't find the fault and they need more time which I agreed so they can figure what is was wrong. Finally, I got a call from them with a very bad news: a high pressure fuel pump broke and swarf has contaminated the whole system and to repair they recommended to replace the entire fuel system! With a total bill £11697! They recommended not to go ahead with the repair as it was above the value of the car! I wasn't happy with this loss but I couldn't do anything! To make it even worse they charged me £150 instead because they spent more time! As a note, in the video link that I've been sent I could see that they spent time to investigate the brakes, status of the tyres (front ones has been changed a week before so no reason to be checked)...something that I never asked for! To cut it short, I had to scrap the car for nothing! After 2-3 weeks, I was searching online for a replacement and I came across with this website: https://www.pegasusmotors.co.uk/used-cars/hyundai-santa-fe-2-2-crdi-premium-5dr-7-seats-enfield-202007081009725 Yes, this is my car that I've been told by Richmond Hyundai Southampton it will cost me nearly £12k to repair! Looks like somebody managed to repair the car (I'm sure they didn't spent a lot) and now is up for sale! How on earth nobody from Richmond Hyundai Southampton couldn't figure/repair my car? And they are the official Hyundai dealers! I will never ever go and buy a car from them and I would not recommend this place to look for a car! Please stay away!
Purchased a nearly new car from Richmond Hyundai Southampton, promised it had full service history After months of chasing turns out it doesn’t have any service history Too late to return it, totally ignored. Now had a warranty issue (should have 4 years left) but I’m on my own. Paid too much based on the trust of what I was sold. Happy to try and get me to service it 6 months early Still waiting for sat nav chip, service book, second key I then Found out that the service I was promised when I collected it wasn’t done Never dealt with such a bunch of half truths as this before. My advice would be go elsewhere
