purchased a bike unable to ride spending thousands to get back on the road even taking insurance. ride customer services from steve ! bike nearly caught fire noticed other review via yell similar issue.
I had a poor experience with Ritebike, They have poor communication with both customers and internally which seems to be one of the causes of the bad experience I received - misleading and infrequent communication, none-delivery, false promise of a tank of fuel, long delays and the bike delivered with a terminally dead battery. I purchased a bike from Ritebike on the 5th June 22 online and payed my deposit by phone straight away. I was told the bike would be ready for collection or delivery in 2 weeks time. After two weeks I had received no communication, no updates on their customer portal and no updates by phone or email. I tried contacting them over a period of 5 days using all of their contact methods - phone, automated "contact us" pop up, email and customer portal messaging. None of these had a staff member to answer or respond leaving me without any information as to what was happening. This did make me consider that perhaps they were a scam just taking peoples deposit money as they also hadn't emailed a deposit receipt as I was initially told they would. After a few days more I eventually received a call saying the bike was not ready and it'd be ready in 4 days time. After 5 days I received another call saying the bike was now ready. Due to the delay I was now unable to collect and opted for delivery (at extra expense). I explained I was away at the weekend and they said they'd get it to me by early Friday afternoon in 3 days time. I took the day off to receive delivery of the bike and when it passed the delivery time I'd been told, I phoned up (via the sales line which is the only one that gets answered) and they told me they would find out and call me back. I was called back by a sales agent saying he was phoning to arrange a day for delivery. I had to explain that it should have been delivered hours ago and that this was now a string of delays and missed deadlines on their part. He talked over me every time I spoke and reeled off excuses about the portal which weren't really relevant to what had happened. Eventually he said they would deliver the bike with a tank of fuel as an apology and arranged a new delivery date when I was back and able to take delivery. On the new delivery day, it was delayed again and I got the bike at about 9pm (with a completely empty tank). The Ritebike / We Buy Any Bike delivery driver seemed annoyed and said that it was passed to him last minute to drop off and also that he had had it on charge it all afternoon as the battery was flat when they gave it to him. In the morning I went to get a Jerry can of petrol, took it home, poured it into the tank and tried to start it. The bike wouldn't turn over. The battery was completely dead, something Ritebike knew but chose not to deal with. I think that because the bike was being delivered, they knew I wouldn't be taking it back so they delivered the bike anyway and offloaded the issue to me. I phoned up again (via the sales line) and they agreed to send me a battery but there was no offer to have it fitted. It arrived a week later, the bike sitting on the drive unusable until then when I changed the battery. I definitely felt like a second class customer to Rite bike because I was on the end of a phone and ordering online. Delivering with a dead battery to none local customers seems to be a regular corner they cut looking at other reviews. A time saver exercise when they're busy perhaps. They seem to be unable to deliver on the time schedule they set. I'm assuming they're understaffed. This plus poor internal communication has lead to further frustration, disappointment, delay and expense. The choice of bikes they have is tempting but Ritebike don't deserve your business with this kind of service. I'll definitely be avoiding the superstore type of companies from now on and I encourage you to do so as well.

Really avoid. Lying, Deceiving, bodge work and dangerous. Too Sales staff heavy with lack of communication pass first contact, computer and telephone system still very broken many months down the line, managers delboy style, and technicians incompetent. To cut it short: If the totally original mint 4500mile bike takes more than a few days to be ready to collect be very worried and avoid. They wont tell you that they put on scrap parts from unknown sources after sale but before collecting, clocks that double the mileage on a bike as they mot’d it just straight afterwards (before collecting and again not telling you at any time), a wheel that has done 30,000 miles more than the rest of the bike because they’re incompetent on taking a wheel bearing out. Which they think the bike is worth the same. Released a bike with aged but new tyres on pressures completely way out- standard is 36 front and rear, clowns set it to 30 front and 40 rear on unscrubbed tyres… Also adding more to the incompetents but even more dangerous is leaving the front calipers loose and un tightened, one caliper was half under torque spec while the other moved by hand as it had one bolt under finger tight and more disturbingly the other bolt under head on the same caliper was a few threads short actually the touching the mounting.

Gave them a £500 deposit on a bike, the bike wasn't ready for delivery as promised so I cancelled the purchase and requested my deposit back, after several weeks and the manager avoiding refunding my £500 I've resorted to an action 75 via my credit card company, why they haven't just paid me back my deposit baffles me, i come from a large biker community and will certainly advise my friends not to buy anything from wrong bike I mean rite bike

Strongly NOT recommend. Same company as "WeBuyAnyBike". Short story: Waited three weeks to collect my bike. Very poor costumer service once I paid the deposit. I had to re-service my bike after they did it. I had to buy a new battery. And now they don't want to fix the bike on their warranty. Whole story: Everything was going great to the moment I paid the deposit. After that they don't care about the costumer. After three weeks of ignoring my calls, emails and giving silly excuses bike was finally ready to collect. When I went there I was informed that the bike was serviced and they were pushing me to make a payment. Bike looked and started good so I paid. They didn't even say goodbye. Next day at home I noticed that I have to much oil in engine and it had a strange color. So i gave the bike to my mechanic for a proper service. He said that they filled engine with twice amount of oil (1.5l instead 0.7), foam air filter wasn't oiled, he had to clean the chain and the battery is flat. I called them regarding these issues and was told that service was done propely and they'll send me a new battery but after I called to ask where the battery is, they told me that I can buy one myself and I'll get a refund after three weeks. Although I still didn't get it. I fitted new battery and it was dead after a week so I called my mechanic, he told me that something must be draining it. Ritebike told me that I have 30 days warranty so I called them about my battery issue I was told I still have a manufacturer warranty and my local dealer will fix it. My local dealer told me that my warranty expired in march 2021. I emailed them about it but they keep ignoring me so it looks like I'll have to pay for the repairs myself Again strongly avoid this company.

When I first enquired about a GSX1400… When I first enquired about a GSX1400 they were selling I was told I'd need to put down a £200 deposit to hold the bike as it was in demand. I explained that my driving licence was being renewed and would take some time as the DVA were busy helping with Covid vaccination booking, but I did have my passport etc. I was assured by Rich that wasn't a problem so I sent numerous copies of documents to lieu of my licence. I had to keep emailing and ringing as I heard nothing from him. A couple of weeks later I got a week old email sent to me from Rich stating that CB needed my licence. I did query about the CB request being a week old. We're busy is the reply I got. Eventually I said 'keep it and told Close Brothers to stick their finance. Bearing in mind the bike was £5,990 and I was paying a £3,500 deposit it seemed odd to me as I've had previous finance with CB. Thankfully I've took delivery of an amazing GSX1400 from another English company. When I looked back on their site and seen the bike I was supposed to be getting from Ritebike dropping by £600 before it disappeared from their website I was happy that I'd missed buying a 'pig in a poke.' My partner was right in saying I've been lucky to have avoided a bad deal. My tip is to zoom in on the pictures. . . You might see things like sprayed rear cogs and bolts to make them look good. Unless you can physically put hands on the bike I'd advice you to go elsewhere.

10/10 would recommend these guys. Second time using them, I recommended them before and I'd recommend them again. They've grown their selection since I last visited so had an even more exciting experience this time. But great showroom, very friendly staff who aren't too pushy, and I love my bike - I look forward to my next visit!
Saw the bike, chatted to Richard, he agreed it was faultless, I paid my deposit. He guaranteed collection date in 3 weeks time. An hour before close of business I was called to cancel collection the following day because it now had a leak and was in bits being repaired. I suggested a photo to show the bike in bits would cancel the smell of bull but there was no access to the workshop! Hmm... I cancelled the deal but was talked around with a guarantee the bike would be delivered before the following weekend. It wasn't! Steve insulted me and said I just wanted to argue! NO, STEVE, I JUST WANTED THE BIKE!! he also said I was in the wrong! WHAT'S THAT OLD SAYING ABOUT THE CUSTOMER ALWAYS BEING.... you can finish that yourself. In short, over a month, two deadlines missed, many insults and lies but no bike. Advice: go elsewhere to professionals, not these people!
Ritebike from RiteBike Ltd in response to Very stressful and fruitless experience!

I purchased my first bike from RiteBike, a beautiful Yamaha YZFR which was the best condition I could fine and very fairly priced. I had the bike delivered which came on time as organised, the driver was also helpful and polite. The bike has been faultless, I had a minor glitch trying to start it, after contact Rob he was more than helpful and turned out I had the stop switch off :) embarrassing but they talked me through everything and had me going in no time, Hopefully I will be able to PX the bike with them in the future for an upgrade!
