Got my Audi from these guys, excellent service throughout. The aftercare has been one of the best i have experienced in 20 years of driving.

Rang up about a car and was told yes it’s still available. Drove 45mins to look at it the next day only to be told by another person that it was sold. Not apologetic in the slightest and felt like we were an inconvenience. Literally didn’t want to speak to us and he thought he was something special, more like an absolute arsehole. Luckily seen another one local while we were out and bought it.

Bought a car in December, upon collection car was not MOT’d. 5 months later still waiting for them to settle finance on the part exchange despite Lee telling me pretty much monthly it was about to be done, I’m effectively paying for 2 cars still. Part ex car sold by riverside so clearly they don’t do all their VOSA checks as would show as outstanding finance before they sold it.

**You really need to read this before considering business here** - I purchased a car from here in May 2020. I went to have a look at the car a and drove away the same day fairly happy. (Albeit with no attention from the staff there. It felt like I had to sell the car to myself). I went into the shop and had no welcome whatsoever and felt like I had to fight to keep their attention off their phones. 3 weeks after driving away I noticed some weird noises come from the back end of the car. I took it to an Audi garage and they informed me approximately £3k worth of repairs were needed. - I contacted the riverside guys about this and they were instantly dismissive. When I bought the car I asked about what happens if anything goes wrong and they said to call them and they would arrange repair at a garage local to me. This was a lie as when I did call them they said they would have to see it. I offered to get the guys from Audi to call them to prove the repair requirement and they made me drive over 200 miles for them to look at the car. No fuel compensation was offered for this. -I also purchased a warranty from the guys on the day I bought the car. Once I had driven home I realised that this warranty info wasn’t in the documents they had given me. I called them to ask them to send it and i hassled for 2 weeks for it. In the end I had to go direct to the warranty insurance for the policy wording. This then stated there is a very low end cap on most repair needs. This was no explained to me when they sold me the warranty. -my car was with the riverside guys for repair for 3 weeks with very minimal updates on what was happening and when I did get updates, they would contradict what was told to me before or by another member of staff. -they provided me with A courtesy car which I thought was fairly decent of them but only after giving the car back to them did I realise the car had no tax.... they let me drive away in a car which wasn’t taxed. -I traded in my old vehicle as part exchange for the car I bought from these guys. They told me not to worry about the log book etc as they would inform the DVLA that they had bought the car. However, 6 months down the line I receive a parking fine through the post. I call the DVLA to ensure I am not the registered keeper anymore and they inform me they haven’t been told the registered keeper has been changed and I am therefore liable to pay a fine and outstanding tax on the vehicle(I cancelled the tax when I gave them the car). I have spoke to the garage recently about this and it takes 3 messages before I get a response and all they say is sorry we sent it to the scrap yard. They promised they would do the registration stuff for me ( the guy initially told me on the phone that they gave the car to a bmw spares local to them. Then changed his story to scrap)

Riverside motors looks impressive online, and has some pretty striking cars. The experience l had was via long distance, they had the exact car l was wanting, but l was 150 miles away. I had to travel via train, bus and 2 taxis to get there, but the car ticked all the boxes. Well it did on paper, the sales assistant was prior to the sale was competent and compliant to my questions and enquires. However there was some minor discrepencies in terms of the quality and quantity of the cars condition and some of the advertised paperwork. Two days prior to collection, l was finally told after many days of prompting that it needed re testing. LITTLE DID I KNOW BUT THEY DO THEY OWN MOT TESTS ??!! Guess what, the car sailed through its mot test, not even any advisories. I had the car checked by an ex mot mechanic when l got home. It should have failed....only on a couple of minor faults, but it should have had 4 advisory issues. (TYRES AND FRONT BRAKE PADS !!) I got the opinion that once they got your deposit, they would do the minimum possible to satisfy the customer. Whilst in the sales office, there were 2 women who had pulled up in a bmw 1 series. They came in and were dissatisfied with the car that they had purchased. I should have let my head over rule my brain ?? To sumarise, 1 The car on paper, was what l wanted and another would be quite difficult to find in a used retail market. 2 Customer satisfaction was fine up to taking a deposit from me, the sales assistant that l dealt with told me he was working on the day of collection.....HE WAS NOT WORKING AND WHEN I ASKED....... HE COULD NOT BE CONTACTED !! 3 Difficultly in getting some questions answered and information found out, prior to collection. 4 A very questionable mot test 5 From the date of the MOT, it had travelled only POINT ZERO EIGHTH OF A MILE, (280 FEET) since it was MOT'D and to the point of COLLECTION On collection the car had been washed and left wet, some scratches gad been obscured, also it had lots od ash flakes from a nearby fire.
