In my view this dealer provides an excellent service when buying a car, recently bought a car from here and found it to be very good. I took the car to my local garage that I have used for years, they have it an excellent report, 10/10
I cannot comment on Riverview Cars after sales care as I have not given them the opportunity to resolve any issues. However, after collecting my purchase I drove straight to a friends workshop to inspect it. I then found it had a heavy oil leak from rocker area on top of engine, rear lights and 1 x brake light not working, rattles from front suspension due to worn bushes engine mountings and drop links, perished front tyre, broken catches on rear seat and parcel shelf and some minor trim parts missing. I live some distance from this dealer and would lose a lot of time taking it back to them for repair. So, being a time served mechanic I decided to rectify the faults myself. My main concern is that these faults should have been found and rectified before the vehicle was collected by me.....I also never received a registration document. I had to apply for it myself after a couple of months.

We are very disappointed to learn of your issues. As part of our 60 pint inspection we check for both leaks and play in suspension. We also MOT every car to avoid disappointment. Given the opportunity we would rectify any fault which occurred after the MOT and inspection. Given that there was not advisories on your car we feel it is down to discretion of the individual, but Would be willing to assist either way. Thank you for your feed back
I'm very happy with the service recieved from River View Cars, the car I purchased is excellent. I had a problem with a wheel bearing after 4 month and they have just replaced it for free. The staff are very friendly and willing to help, would recommend to all.
Riverview Cars were excellent and I'd be happy to recommend them. There was an issue with the MOT certificate which turned out to be a printing error and they sorted it out immediately. The car hasn't had a single problem so I can't comment on after sales service but based on the experience I had they were great.

I have to say the people were very friendly and the sale did go really well. They do need to improve their after sales care, the warranty is there for a reason and although they fixed the issues with my brakes eventually it wasn't easy, they put up a fight and I had to work to make them do it. If they had of simply done the work with no complaints they would be getting top marks from me.

They kept fobbing me off with trying to get the service history and then supplied me with cheap keys. Riverview Cars just want your money, buyer beware.
Everything was going fine on day one but it's been down hill from there. The car has had 7 or 8 issues and the dealership were responsive at first and then seemed to lose interest, it wasn't until I went down other routes to try give the car back that they took interest again, after sales was simply very poor at Riverview Cars in South Shields.
