First Class Professional Service From Start To Finish Saw The Car In The Showroom After Turning Up Unannounced Was Greeted By Nick & Billy Who Allowed Us To View The Car With No Pressure Had A Test Drive Loved The Car And Did The Deal Picked The Car Up A Few Days Later After It Had A Full Service & Valet Once Home With The Car Noticed A Couple Of Fault’s ie Bit Of Trim Missing In Boot + A Clunking Under The Front On Uneven Roads So Spoke To Billy Who Told Us To Bring It Back And They Would Sort It Out Which We Did They Give Us A Courtesy Car For A Couple Of Days While The Repairs Were Rectified And Now We Have It Back In First Class Condition Cheers Guys.

Currently undergoing a load of issues with Riviera Automotive. From buying the car to now the after care it’s been a real challenge. Even which they have acknowledged to me. I won’t put names here but they know who they are. I drove the car home after purchasing on the 22nd July, after waiting 3 hours for them to hand the car over. I saw them cleaning and polishing the car before handover something they should have had prepared prior. I also used an external lender and took them about 13 days to get the required paperwork to the lender so they could pay out. Boy was it a mistake buying from them as I arrived and the cars bodywork and a wheel was chipped that was just the start. I then embarked on driving home back to london which was a 4 hour journey from their showroom. As soon as I arrived I noticed along the journey a funny smell in the boot followed by the cars breaking power wasn’t really up to scratch. A few errors came up on screen but kept going and coming I just assumed the car hadn’t been driven for a while. Again boy was I wrong. I asked the dealership to put the issues above right, in which after about 2-3 weeks of going to them and asking them to sort, the best they could come back with is aftermarket pads on a £71,000 performance suv and a replacement tyre inflation kit which exploded and that was where the smell was from in the boot staining the carpets. At this point I decided enough was enough and requested to reject the car. This is where all the pain began, they became defensive and started to tell me they are leaving this with an external solicitor to sort out. I got an email asking to try sort out the issues but they were adamant on the aftermarket cheap pads which cost £30-50 and explained they would not fit on this specific car. Even Audi themself told me no one makes them and you’ll be wasting your time. At this point I decided to take the car in for a full health check at Audi and let me tell you, Audi themself are in shock over how a car like this has been sold, the list of issues as per below: 1- Oil pressure fault 2- Coolant leak 3- Rust on A pillar 4- Door lock faults (electrical) 5- Worn front and rear brake pads 70-80% 6- Trims and heat shields damaged under the car and need to be replaced 7- Tyre pressure sensors possible issue The consumer rights act 2015 clearly states that any issue with the car and the consumer can reject. Something Riviera and their solicitor clearly don’t understand. The car is currently at Audi and they are asking me to remove from their premises via a tow as they highly advise not to drive the car until further investigation. I have supplied the evidence and proof yet riviera are trying to make it very difficult to just take it on the chin and take the car back and give me my money. I have now informed the finance company Alphera, the broker who is dealing with this. The motor ombudsman who has seen all my evidence and suggested to give the dealer the opportunity to sort out as I have all the required for a rejection within the 30 day timeline. I have now began a case with trading standards and also a claims court to retrieve costs that have come out of my expense to get them what is required. Bearing in mind no mention of a courtesy car out of goodwill. I have been super polite and patient the beginning however they took this for weakness and now that I do not trust them to repair the car as they want to use garages they know they are beginning to play hard ball. What they do not understand is they will end up being out of pocket more then they expect. This is even before I go to the press and social media following who I am known for. I am open to reviewing this review if they handle this with immediate effect. I have made it clear I use the car for my disabled father and autistic son which clearly to them is nothing and to follow a process. I would highly advise you have your car checked thoroughly before purchasing and not buying based on their word. No wonder the car was the cheapest by several thousand pounds and had been listed for some time.

I just bought a Merc from Riviera. The car is beautiful, and in first class condition. I dealt with Luca, who was courteous and helpful throughout. PH Scotland.

Where do I begin ? Sparkly car on the outside but not roadworthy. Total rip off !!! After getting on the motorway the car was shaking after 65mph . Breaks making atrocious noises . I was promised the car would be serviced and inspected. The alloys were not balanced or aligned . They were untouched. The most budget tyres slapped on some flashy alloys for great photos with no work to back it up. Took it to my garage and they refused to pay the £500 repair bill for new disks and breaks . Chasing them for my money looks like we’re going to court !

You may wish to avoid I bought a 330e BMW from Riviera Automotive but they only had one key. I had to do 4 trips of an hour to BMW to order and then collect the key. They promised to pay the cost of the key but despite chasing them numerous times they did not pay. I’m now having to claim through the small claims court. Very poor customer service.

DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THESE LIARS!!!!!! Please heed this review and the many many alike it. This dealership is horrendously poor. They have no empathy or customer service once they have your cash. Do not deal with Richard, he's a grade A bu11sh1tter. They've had my kecks down and I've been left with several repair bills for a car that I was told is perfect. The brakes were unsafe for the road and when you have kids in the car it's a disgrace. I've been lied to about being reimbursed several times. They constantly lie and say they will do it and just simply don't. Stay away from these thieves of the industry, terrible ethics they will be reported to motor ombudsman, RMIF, and have a court claim on the way. Here comes the generic, we have never dealt with this person blah blah blah... Riviera automotive, Cleckheaton with Richard the liar, is where I went

Terrible communication, even before buying!!!! Do not like giving negative reviews but when it matters it has to be done, I have been in contact with Mo at Riviera for over a week regarding a vehicle for sale. firstly communication is not good enough, simple as that, and this is even before buying a car, reading other reviews states this. Sent me a video showing me a car within 3 minutes, buying from distance, again this isn't good enough. Best part though I gave him at least 3-4 days notice of me travelling to see the car from Cornwall which would take 7 hours, told me the car wouldn't be ready and prepped, fair enough, was then having a word with some Richard guy, and never got back to me to inform me that the car possibly be ready for me to drive away within 1-2 days, and I'm still waiting, really good job I didn't travel. Don't be a fool like me and wait on these, I'm lucky I believe dodging a bullet on this occasion, and will happily now buy from a main dealer, who's communication by the way, is far superior to this guy. And the other thing is they offer a warranty, that is absolute garbage, the company are appalling. My advice is to buy elsewhere, read their reviews, which has made me confirm to myself I have made the correct choice in avoiding them. Further to their incredibly inaccurate response, which is nothing more than petty due to myself leaving a review on the basis of my findings, Mo did not send a video of over 11 minutes so BS. I simply asked on the Saturday about coming up on the Tuesday, so in fairness you had notice, in fact as I did a check on one of the cars on my app called "know your car" and I had a notification that the mot had passed on the Sunday, plenty of notice for me to come up and look at the cars, I even said I would not drive one away until the following day, MO CLEARLY SAID I WILL CHAT TO RICHARD THE SALES DIRECTOR, WHICH HE DIDN'T GET BACK TO ME WITH A DEFINITIVE ANSWER, so good job I didn't spend said 7 hours driving isn't it. People need to know of how this car dealership is run, even before buying the car. I HAVE WHATSAPP MESSAGES SHOWING CLEARLY THE LONG DURATION OF MESSAGES BEING REPLIED TO, AND NOT EVEN AT ALL. I will leave with this, My main dealer at Sytner Newport can verify when and what time I was receiving messages from their impeccable sales representative, outside of office hours, and even on days off, such as today, they have gone above and beyond, yet I still gave you a chance as I did like the cars you stock, but again, I have for sure dodged a bullet and live to tell this tale. Funny how as soon as I left the review, guess what folks???????? I got a message from Riviera!!!!!! Stay away, is all I'll say!!!!! " You then sent a message to Mo saying that you would call him to discuss shortly. The next thing Mo heard from you was when you left this review 2 days later." ABSOLUTE BS, MO READ ABOVE WHEN MO WAS TALKING TO RICHARD, HE NEVER REPLIED, ABSOLUTE GARBAGE OF A COMPANY STAY THE HELL AWAY, VERY PETTY AND PATHETIC. NEW ******** AVOID*********** brought a Mercedes’ E class, was promised full service on the car, when the motor arrived the new brake pads fitted was non Mercedes’ and the car was making an awful noise, so why it was in the garage I had them check if the car was serviced, guess what nothing was touched! I have proof that service was carried out including a cabin filter change, oil filter change and oil change. Nothing was done the same parts was still on the car from when it was probably made.even sending me a copy of the receipt that they purchased the parts, but clearly not put on my car! Also they purchased non Mercedes’ parts and clear evidence on the photos original Mercedes’ filters still on, couldn’t even be bothered to put non genuine parts on, and the state of the filters. Not only that sent the car down with a stone chip on the front windscreen, now they are refusing to pay me back for the service I had to get carried out that they are adamant they carried out, does these pictures look like it has just been changed ?? Had nothing but grief and problems with this garage. Everyone avoid and don’t go through the pain I have been through. Don’t even waste your time with this place, clearly don’t appreciate your custom and just trying to screw you for every penny they can get!

Worst customer service ever from a car dealership. Paid the deposit and was told the car is not ready for collection due to a rear broken window glass. Car was advertised on autotrader for more than 2-3 weeks and they didn’t bother to check or never fully inspected the car. I was not aware of this when I paid deposit but was told after I paid the deposit, I waited couple of day and was told it will get ready by Friday which was more than a week which I waited and was told the parts have not arrived and it will take longer to get repair. When I spoke with them on the phone I was also told we do check cars after they get sold if they need anything done. Please avoid this car dealer, waste of time and money, all other 1 star reviews are genuine and should be looked at, if i did read the reviews I wouldn’t pay the deposit but I didn’t. Would highly not recommend this dealer. When calling office number line goes onto O2 mobile number voicemail. Money grabbers, please avoid this dealer. Sales manager called Richard a complete lier. Avoid avoid avoid
