I have been asked by Rix a few times now to remove my review. however I will edit this for the safety of other purchasers ****** FORD FOCUS RS YG60GXA ******. Had to be returned to the company as it has an serious engine fault. The vehicle is losing oil at a rate of 2litres per 300 miles. and requires a engine rebuild which could cost the new owner £2300. Rix would not help in anyway fix the problem and bought the it back from ourselves. PLEASE MAKE SURE THERE ARE RECEIPTS FOR THIS REPAIR BEFORE PURCHASE.. this car was within one month of purchasing and also had an extended warranty which would not be honoured. We were offered £500 to keep the car with a massive fault and basically no future re sale value. After dealing with the manager Barry who helped us buy the car he made us feel like it was our fault. Now left with no car and a “ no hard feels “ quote ....Really unhappy and lost confidence in Rix. I have formally made a complaint to the finance company about these as you as a customer have rights stating if the car has faults it should be repaired or replaced. Also contacted trading standards as I feel like they are misleading in the advertisement of this car as what happened with ourselves.

Hi Steve, I was disappointed to read your review particularly as we worked so hard with you to resolve things amicably, I think it is only fair to mention that we did give you a full refund plus some extra to cover costs that had been spent on the car during your sons ownership, you stated at this point that you did not want to purchase another car from us so it is difficult to understand what conclusion you wanted as to my understanding we did what you asked us to do by taking the car back and issuing a full refund, I hope that this gives a little more of a balanced view on your experience, Kind Regards Rix Motors.

I cannot express how happy I am with Rix Motors, from Scott who was lovely and professional from the start to Steve and Colin in aftersales, who are absolute darlings. I could not have asked for more. I had a hiccup and they more than stepped up with looking after me. I am so grateful and will absolutely recommend them to anyone. Well done guys, see you again

I was an existing customer of rixs motors and on my 1st visit we and my other half had a fantastic service. This time was let’s say left a bad taste in my mouth the 1 st problem was I had a different sales man he was young and very much sat on the hard sales lines. It was all ok on the 1st day when I arrived to look at a bmw all was well and I left needing to bring in my px that was my 2012 bmw. I got a call from him asking me to bring the car in one evening to finish the deal as he had already agreed that I would get as close to 8k for it. A 2012 bmw 3 with 85k and full service history. When I arrived he looked at my car and gave me a px figure of 6k I also received texts on my phone where he did a we buy any car valuation on it and used my phone number with out asking me. I then felt like I was with a windows sales man as I said 6k was not enough he then called his boss 2 or 3 times ect then said £6250 would not go any more and assured me it was a good price. I then said as long as I do not see it on your forecourt for 12k we would be fine after giving a deposit I left on the next day he called to say the car is ready and I need to finalise the deal so I asked him to hang on for 1hr as I was just going to check the deal out with bmw to see if they had a car at that point he got really aggressive and said if that’s what I am doing then he will cancel the deal. I picked the car up on the 14th or feb for my other half he was not there and I completed with mike the sale man I had last time I later found out the cars tracking was out and the steering wheel is off also there is a safety recall out standing I called to explain that the car would not have been sold to me with this recall in place and he said how are we meant to know and it’s not there fault also the tracking will be taken car off I also noticed that my px was on there website for 12k and I asked about that and he said it’s rixs car and he can do what he wants. To this day they have not called me back about the recall or the tracking so I have opened up a complaint with trading standards as I found out car dealers by law should not sell a car with an outstanding safety recall very unhappy and I will neverdeal with rixs motor company again

Hi Sean, I was very disappointed to read your review and although I wasn't personally involved in your enquiry / purchase I can confirm that is not how Rix Motors looks after their customers, over the last 6 months there has been major investment not only in improving facilities to enhance the customer experience but ALL staff have been coached to understand the culture of "The customer comes first". I also understand our aftersales team have been in touch to help resolve the outstanding issues with the car, Kind Regards Rix Motors.

I have just read Lee's review about Rix Motors, how strange I bought a Jaguar XF back. in August 2018 part X my fully serviced 4 new tyres M Class Merc. The day I come to take the car they said Mr Rix has to test drive all cars now!!!? I said the sales man has already driven it we have agreed part ex all good!! NO Mr Rix insists on test driving the car OK I said all good. Mr Ric come back after test drive took the sales man into there little glass see through office and went through the patter. The sales man walked out and said the wind screen has a chip in it and it sounds ropy we will have to reduce the cost by " yes you have guessed it £1200.00 " I said no chance I walked straight into Mr Rix office and we had some choice words Mr Rix then kept to the deal. I then found out they only had one key the jag so it took me anther 20 minutes to get them to agree to getting me another key that took them 6 weeks but that's another story. took the car and the service light come on O they said it has been serviced just forgot to turn light off since then I have spent close to £1000.00 on repairs and problems with the car I paid £500.00 up front for the 1 years warrantee they have to date refused to look at every problem I have had under the warrantee !!!!. Seriously there is a car dealers in Bury called Bodgit and scarper get a better deal there and wont get sales men who Lie. never AGAIN !!!!

Good Afternoon Hugh, I was very disappointed to read your review, although I was not personally involved in your sale / negotiations I can assure you that Rix Motors does not have a pre planned agenda as you seem to suggest in your review, it is correct that company policy is that one of the directors drives and gives the final valuation prior to a deal being finalised, over the last 6 months significant investment has been made to improve facilities, including the showroom, developing an aftersales department to look after customers should they experience problems once they have taken delivery and staff coaching to develop a culture of "customers come first" I do hope this gives a little bit of balance to the review that you left, Kind Regards Rix Motors.

Visited Rix Motors over the weekend to have a look at a couple of Range Rovers I had seen on there website. The salesman was helpful and not pushy after going over some figures on my part exchange which they gave me the best price for better than other garages I had visited we did the deal and I am so happy with my new car. Thanks Rix it was nice to visit a dealership that isn’t all about sell sell sell.
