Had a nightmare with my car, and he was uncooperative with settling it. He shut the company down and everything now, the building is gone. Watch out for any future companies he starts
tom dunstan in response to Propery dodgy
not sure if of any help but they are now trading under ZZ cars ltd after reding the previous reviews im guessing that hes maintaining his old tricks. went to view a bmw today, the write up on the car did not reflect the actual condition of the car, so many things that didnt add up while talking to him, wasted 6 hours travel there and back.
Please avoid RLS Cars.He suppose to have been locked up.Bought a Mercedes Benz A class 150 classic from him,he knew there is a gearbox problem, brake problem, nothing in the car is ok.Also,I guess some of the car loans companies knows about his dodgy cars, they 'll advise you to tell the loans company that you ve seen the car and you like it so that they can release you money on time.please very careful.
They will sell you a car with an MOT that was impossible to pass but they got it somehow. Happy days if you want to spend the same amount as the car another 2 or 3 times for repairs. When you ring him to find out why this has happened he will just continue to delay in hopes that you will stop even though you are fully entitled to a refund.
The first car I bought from R&L Stevens (now known as RLS Cars) was in 1989, a Ford Orion, which I had for 10 years. Traded it in with him for a Mondeo which ran for another 10 years. In 2011 I bought a KA from him, then another 2 years later (having lost the first one in a 'white van man' accident). Am happily still driving this one (March 2018). Have also recently bought a Toyota Aygo from him as my daughter's first car. Have always found Lloyd professional to deal with and he'll fix any issues drawn to his attention. Couldn't wish for a more reliable dealer and will carry on buying from him as long as he's trading.

Avoid RLS Cars. Sold me a dodgy car. Ive just sent him a letter to get my money back. Made 300 miles and the car collapsed. Took it to authorized service. The amount of faults it have are just massive. Look somewhere else.

Found Lloyde Stevens from RLS Cars friendly and true to his word, bought my son his first car from him a shiny 206cc , the sale went really well and we couldn't be happier. Highly recommend.
Lloyd Stevens (RLS Cars) from Romford was rude, abusive, threatening and dodgy! He falsely advertised a car, took my deposit, and when I found out about all the inconsistencies between the advertisement and the car I asked for a refund of my deposit. That's when he started f-bombing, screaming and threatening me, taunting me to sue him and hung up on me. I have reported him to trading standards (call 0345 404 0506 to start the process) as he has a legal duty to refund me within 14 days. He has been successfully sued before, and he trades under 5 different company names (RLS Cars, R & L Stevens, R&L Stevens Car Sales, Lloyd Stevens, randslstevenscars) none of which are registered with companies house. His VAT reg number is 406330491. Do yourself a favour and only deal with him if you can find his company under companies house, if not, ask yourself what is he hiding and is he reputable? He has a history of abusive behaviour and selling vehicles that breaks down soon after they are sold. If you have had a similar run in with Lloyd, e-mail me at rlscarscomplaints@zoho.com as I'm collecting evidence for a legal case.

I agree with Nick, I got a car from him just over 3 years ago, was supposed to have passed it's MOT , BUT 11 DAYS AFTER COLLECTING IT THE EXHAUST FELL OFF ON A127, I was told its not under garantee, and to get a quote from garage, ( he could beat the quote).Had to take him to small claims court.... Glad Nick got it touch with me, How many others have been robbed by him!!!!!! Him n his company is reguarded as a good place to buy a car.....From Havering Council Take our advice,,, STEER WELL CLEAR... I'VE PAPER WORK TO PROVE I TOOK HIM TO COURT

I got misled by this seller last week. I got a Merc automatic. He delivered the car to my home and I did a bank transfer. He has promised that he will send a receipt and the documents which he didn't do. The very next day, I found the car to have transmission warnings. I refuses my calls and ignores all the messages. I am looking to get my money refunded through consumer act 2015. Any pointers to solve this issue would be of a great help. Thanks

I recently bought a vauxhall corse from Lloyd and within two weeks the head gasket had blown. Now he's closed his shop and moved away and no longer answers any phone calls, I'm unsure as to what I can do to get my money back? Did anyone have any success in retrieving their money back?
I have had a fantastic experience with this company brought my mini convertable a month ago Lloyd and colleagues were more than helpful from test driving to driving it away. Very friendly would recommend this service 10/10 from me
Rude And Abusive I went to look at a fiat 500 after a telephone conversation with Lloyd he stated the car was almost showroom condition so he wouldn't take any less then the advertised £5250 I went to his home address this afternoon and looked around the car only to find it had chips and dents all around the door sill also on the boot lid. Bumper had "apparently" just come loose so it was off the car in his garage thankfully I had previously found one at a better price with less miles from JCT just had to call and leave a deposit. So I politely text Lloyd thanking him for the viewing and explaining we had found a different car and a better deal. to which he replied very professionally "Cheers fatso" so if your looking for a good quality reasonably prices car KEEP LOOKING

Stay away from this dealer.... I've had dealings with him. And it came down to small claims court
