I went to view a Mitsubishi Evo X on 17 March at Roadstar Automobiles. Picked it up on 24 March. Was told it had full service history. Roadstar had the car since Nov 16 or so I was led to believe. Also it had Mot the day before with no advisories. The salesman didn't seem to know too much about the car also told the timing belt had been done but there was no paperwork to prove this..although I now have this. I paid 16000 which isn't cheap. On the way home I didn't feel the car was right and so booked it in at Auto torque (actual performance car specialists!) They were quite astounded at what they found. All the brake discs were corroded. Pads low. Rear roll bar mount broken. Tyres cracking. Gearbox erratic. Front left shock absorber broken. So I contacted Roadstar as soon as I was told this. I was then asked to take it to an aa approved garage which I did. They agreed with everything that was wrong. So the first issue brakes..hassle as roadstar wanted to put cheap ones on. I paid 200 to make sure correct ones were put on. I paid 100 for the roll bar mount. Also I was provided with a warranty so the front shock absorber was covered ..however as is well known both need doing so i ended up with another bill for 600. All these things should have been paid by Roadstar. Not to mention my time..petrol and inconvenience. While this was going on I received the log book. Imagine my surprise to see someone had bought the car in February! I spoke to him and he confirmed that he took the car back. So I was mislead regarding the ownership and service history of the car. I have now checked the mileage and had more miles on it in November than it did the day I picked it up. Onto the gearbox..Auto torque took it apart and discovered it needs 4100 of work. This was on 30th May. Roadstar then said it was a warranty claim so they were notified and rejected the claim. Roadstar contacted me 21st of this month to say they'd pay 2k??? They are liable but have spent 4 weeks feeding me excuse after excuse. The car is still at Auto torque with the gearbox out. The whole thing has been an unfunny joke. I am in the process of taking roadstar to a small claims court and will be informing trading standards of the false and misleading information and advertising. Steer clear of these.

Visited this dealership earlier today as we were in the area and had our eyes peeled on an M4 in the showroom. Was approached by a salesperson who simply did not want to sell us a car. We'd asked for him to put together some figures on the vehicle and he went to look at our car, came back with an offer that was lower than CAP and then decided that was the end of the conversation. We asked about finance options and the presentation was disgraceful. A few clicks on the calculator and we'd estimated that it was "roughly £500 a month", no discussion on HP/PCP term/deposit/mileages. It appears the dealer has 'website' prices and showroom prices for their cars and there was minimal knowledge on the car. Would not recommend this dealer.

This place is super busy!!!! I bought a Mercedes A Class from Roadstar Automobiles 2 months ago and the service was great, Joseph and the team helped with not only picking the car but also when I had a small issue with it. They got it back and repaired straight away. Not the greatest parking but the selection of vehicles they have are fantastic so well worth a visit.

I too bought a car from Roadstar Automobiles that developed a fault within a week. In fact the engine management light was on when I viewed the car, and I was told it was fixed before I picked it up. A week later all the electrics failed in the car, so I called and waited for assistance. Unfortunately I had to threaten to give the car back before somebody called. They were very polite, but not really able to help. After hours of waiting and getting nowhere, I managed to get the car to an independent garage who specialise in my type of car. They read the fault and found it. The repair to cost £300. I rang the dealer and informed them that I was getting the car repairs, they said to send the paperwork over and somebody would get back to me. So that is what I did. The response I received was shocking. I was informed that the checking of the car, and the repair was extortionate and they would not be authorising the payment. At this point I was furious, and sent an email back stating that I was not happy for one of their mechanics to look at it, as that is clearly what happened before, and the fault was ignored. I stated that I expect the repair to be paid for by a specialist or I would be returning the car. After sending this email, I received a politer response offering to pay for the repair. They would authorise payment the next day. I still wasn't convinced, but of course had no choice. To be fair, they did come through and have paid for the repair. The car has been thoroughly inspected by the garage and is in good condition, so I will keep the car. During the check though, we did find valve caps missing, and a cover missing in the boot. Also incomplete service history (although I was told it had been fully serviced). The overall experience was not great, and it was a purchase I very much looked forward to. I am happy the car has been fully checked by an independent garage, and would advise anybody else to do the same before parting with their money. Repairs that were undertaken prior to pick up have no paperwork, and there was no paperwork with the key. Also only one key. As said, everything has felt off from the day it went wrong, so my advice now would be to really check everything and get it checked before you say yes. I learnt the hard way, and if I hadn't put my foot down, would be £400 poorer, or would have had to give the car back, and start my search all over again.

This garage was originally names Auto Prestige but due to bad reviews changed there name to Road Star. Be warned nothing has changed just the name! Once they have your money they do not want to know you. I purchased a car and when there was a problem with the car in the first week i was told they will get my car repaired........1 year later i get my car back and it is still not right. The customer service was awful, Merit and Guppi are so unprofessional they just bullies and lie to you week in week out. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, you will be chasing this company for everything, they use different mechanics to repair your car and you never see any paperwork to back up any work that is carried out. Do not be fooled by the selection of cars for sale, they have no idea how to run a business. 1 YEAR OF HELL.....KEEP AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

If you don't want to be pressured then roadstar is the place. Sold the car I was interested in but in a couple of days after,they called back saying they found what I was looking for. They let us drive it around by ourselves which was nice and we bought it that day.Been really happy ever since
