In a nutshell, got a good deal signed paperwork to order. Salesman left so order was taken over. Told car would arrive by 3rd sept before end of contract. Then got told end of sept. They didn’t inform finance so 12,500 came out of my account 6th sept. I had to phone around to sort their problem out. Then was told car was in. When I asked them to send over details noticed it wasn’t the correct car. Want me to take car for price I agreed for higher spec which they didn’t order. I think they new but thought I wouldn’t click on.

Iordered a brand neww 2008 gt in october 2022 and they said i would have it january or february at the latest.Late January they phoned me to say the had made a mistake on the type of car ordered and instead of the agreed £5000 plus my car as part ex it was now £7000.I reluctantly agreed to this having waited so long as long as they fitted a tow bar..They agreed to this but then sent paperwork saying the price to change was now £7,350..I told them that as now it was mid march and they said the car hadnt even begun being built yet and could be another 6 months i told them to stuff it and bought a demo 2008 off Swansway Chester and what a breath of fresh air it was to deal with them.Any future buyers for Robins and Day Liverpool beware and get every step of the deal in writing or months down the line they may phone you saying they made a mistake and you have to pay more...bunch of clowns 370000

I had experience of this dealership a long time before it became R&D. Phoned the sales team (sometime 1990's) and informed them I wanted to buy a used vehicle and told them I wanted a Ford Sierra diesel. Having been told they had one I went to the dealership and was then informed they didn't have one and tried to sell me a different vehicle. Having used R&D Manchester for purchasing a number of vehicles over the years with no problems I felt the arrival of R&D Liverpool was good news and decided to take my daughter there to purchase a used vehicle. Again I phoned the sales team and informed them I was looking for a Peugeot 308 diesel and they assured me they had one. However arriving at the dealership they told me they didn't have any and again tried to sell me a different vehicle. From R&D Liverpool I drove directly to R&D Manchester and there the sales team, as usual, went out of their way to find the vehicle we were after and eventually found one in Sheffield which they had delivered to their dealership. If R&D Manchester were able to do this why not R&D Liverpool? With respect to the Service/Repair department, as my usual dealership had failed to diagnose a problem with the Stop/Start Eco system on my Peugeot 308, I decided to take my car to R&D Liverpool for a second opinion. The receptionist asked me if I had the A/C turned on to which I replied it was and she then informed me that you cannot have the air conditioning on if you want the Stop/Start to work! Having had experience of Peugeots over many years I told her that she was not correct. She responded with a very condescending tone of voice and informed me that she had done the 'Technicians course.' (I know as a fact and from the handbook that the A/C and Eco system will work together providing the engine is running) Collecting my car I was informed that there was no problem with the system and the report they gave me simply stated 'Switched off A/C, stop/start works' this was repeated three times. Despite the car being less than three years old an independent Peugeot repair facility correctly diagnosed a defective battery as he had experienced this problem before. As my current Peugeot dealership in Widnes is closing down I am now seeking another service/repair facility, will I choose R&D Liverpool? - no way despite being only 15 minutes drive away from them.,

I would like to express my thanks to Andrea and Chris in the Service Department for their efficiency and courtesy in dealing with my request for attention today for what appeared to be a difficulty with the automatic boot system. Thanks also to Service Engineers for remarkably prompt attention and resolution of the problem. All of these features echo positive aspects of previous visits and I was equally impressed by today’s good service.

We bought our car last year, with no discount but the promise of a set of mats. My husband drove from near Burnley to Wigan last week to eventually pick them up, to be told they were not there, at a salesman’s house, as arranged. I was told on the phone yesterday that I would be contacted by Mark today, he always returns calls ! Not mine !! Someone drove all the way from Liverpool last week to drop off 2 rear mats at our house... not a set of 4, as agreed. We have been more than patient ....

Nightmare !!! Be well warned.our car had a cylinder injector problem three months after we bought it from Arnold Clark. Arnold Clark booked it in to Robin's and Day for repair which took over 40 days to do !!!! There was some games played by Arnold Clark as to who should pay for the work but in the end they said they would pay. In that 40 days of messing about Robins and Day lied to us and put pressured on us over the phone .while this went on they where calling us asking us to remove the car from the parking area at the back of there site.The car was done in !!! At one point this Joe chap said our car was not insured while it was on there site and something could happen to it!!! We found this odd and very worrying thinking it could get damaged while on this site. Eventualy the car was repaired and then Robin's and Day said said we could not have it back as there was 100 pounds outstanding of the bill. Arnold Clark had only paid 1100 pounds of the 1200 bill and Robin's and Day said we would have to pay this 100 pounds or no car back.They where holding the car for ransom!! My husband went up to Robin's and Day and got the car back using the spare key. We where desperate as our son is a wheelchair user and we had struggled over the 40 days while not have the car using my husbands two seater van. Now, Robin's and Day Peugeot in Liverpool still have our car key and have sent us notification of court action. We have told them we will not be bullied and will fight this action for the return of our car key and the 100 pounds thing which Arnold Clark should have paid. Lesson learned .At the end of the day your are dealing with a bunch of second hand car sales people and the first thing they learn is to lie. See you in court Robins and Day.

Initially when we had our motability car delivered everything was good and we still stand by our statement that Mark the motability rep.was excellent. However after this things have gone rapidly downhill. Rude patronising and condescending staff from salesman to manager. Using our car as a taxi service for staff to be collected when in for service. Repair of faults are a definite No No as they haven't a clue or cannot be bothered. Totally disorganised and pathetic from start to finish. DO NOT GO NEAR THEM. We will not be back again!!! We have a Citroen C4.Picasso which supposedly has a start stop function. This has hardly worked since we acquired the vehicle and Robin's and Day say there is nothing wrong. This after almost 3 years. Think very carefully before you buy from here.

Have had the worst experience dealing with Robins and Day in Liverpool. On first signing the paperwork for the lease car, I had been informed by a member of staff on the sales team that the servicing would be in with the price paid monthly, this turned out to be a lie, on complaining about this Peugeot informed me they could not investigate this further as that particular colleague who had sold me the car had left, so it was my word against his. On taking my car in for its second service, I was entitled to a loan car for the day. Arriving at my allocated time of 11 to have the car serviced, I then had to wait an hour for the lease car, as the last customer had not brought it back yet. When I enventually got the loaned car, the interior and exterior was awful! The customer who had it before me worked on building sites and they had not cleaned it afterwards. On mentioning the incident to Robins and Day Liverpool, I was asked to come in and speak to their manager Joel, after taking time off work to go up to speak to him, I rang ahead to make sure I had the time correct of the appointment, only to be told that Joel was out on a training course. I entered into this hire purchase lease agreement with Robins and Day Liverpool, who I believed to be a respectable firm, I would certaining not make the same mistake again! Terrible service from front line staff and managers at this particular dealership. Reply to the owner: unfortunately, a revamp of your services is not working towards fixing problems for unhappy customers such as myself and others who have decided to write a google review. If your company where genuine about having a higher customer satisfaction rate, and by looking at the reviews you have, it should be something your focusing on, as the owner you personally would get in touch with these people, as you should have records of all your customers who have visited and try to work out a solution. As I have previously mentioned in the above comment, I was offered a solution to come down and speak to Joel, and I took time off work to do so, only to find that Joel had 'forgotten' about this appointment. On a further phonecall from Joel I was then told that these situations hardly ever occur with your customers, however, from the written reviews it is evident that, clearly these situations with customers occur a lot more frequently. Therefore I will not be contacting your dealership to visit the showroom in July, as I feel Robins and Day have had their time to correct a number of situations that have occurred with my car lease and have failed to do so each time. I will make sure any future custom, along with my family and friends know what happened and how I was treated. Would also be nice if you had taken the time to read through each individuals problems with the service you and your team have provided, rather than copying and pasting the same message about a 'revamp' every time.
