Hi had great service from Scott Gibson when buying my new car, on handover of the car Scott showed me everything inside and out side of the car as our handover for my wife’s 2008GT was zero thanks again Scott .
Bought a car at the start of the year from wingrove in Silverlink. Took the two cars for a test drive both had issues and one with horrific brakes, that they apparently didn’t know about until we mentioned it. Why were we allowed to drive this ? The service team (aftercare team) absolutely shocking to say the least, we had only been given one key when we bought the car and was promised the additional key would only be a week at the most and there was a smaller detail issue that the salesman spotted and wanted sorted. We were told that this shouldn’t take too long. After constantly chasing them about the above they EVENTUALLY booked the car in to get sorted. We have a private reg on the car and updated the garage on this, but yet when we dropped the car off for the day this hadn’t been updated on the system. We then booked it in for its first MOT and yet again the car was down on their system as the old reg, we asked them to update this again. We dropped the car off at 8 am on the day of MOT, we arrived and they said they didn’t have the car booked in, checked in on the old reg again, which still hadn’t been updated. There was no communication on picking the car up or when it would be ready, we then arrived to pick the car up and the details of the MOT were in correct on the MOT certificate and the response we got was “uh I don’t know” Would not recommend this garage purely because of the aftercare, once they have your money they aren’t bothered about their customers. We will not be returning that’s for certain.

Really great service to start, sorted me lower apr finance and did everything quickly and stress free. Can’t fault that at all. However when I arrived today I felt a little un welcomed because I had arrived 30mins late I had been doing a Covid 19 booster clinic as I work as a nurse part time on top of my main job that finished ten minutes late and then there was closures on a19 and diverted around local traffic to get to the destination ). The salesman I dealt with had come in on his day off to hand over the car and it was evident he didn’t seem pleased, which made me feel like I was just an inconvenience, which is a shame as no customer making any purchase such be made to feel like that. Felt a bit scolded that I couldn’t find the logbook, but I was prepared to pay and order a new one there and then. Such a shame as otherwise this experience would have been 5 stars for me. No matter who your customer is they should be made to feel like they aren’t an inconvenience, Maybe something to take on board in future. Don’t judge the customer because they may be the people who are in the most need of a bit of kindness at the moment after a working a very busy pandemic period! I appreciate the car though as it is beautiful, there was nothing wrong with the purchase and transaction itself and I would use again providing the service was okay.

Wingrove Motor Company Peugeot in Newcastle seem friendly, inviting and professional upon first glance.......and it is.....until they've conned you into buying a faulty car and taken your money. I had the displeasure of buying a used vauxhall from them earlier this year, paying by card in full and driving off happily. 12 miles down the road the car began to overheat and we had to pull over. Upon phoning the Wingrove I was initially told that they couldn't help me on the day as their service team were finished for the day. This included not being able to supply a courtesy car or recover the vehicle back to the garage. They even had the cheek to as me to arrange it to be towed through the AA back to their garage.......less than half an hour after parting with 000's of pounds to their bank account. After some debating back and forth the garage did eventually provide a courtesy car but my new vehicle was left on the side of a1 overnight before being recovered the following day. That's where the real fun with this poorly ran company began....... Wingrove phoned be on the Monday lunchtime to say the car had been recovered but not yet looked at. I was promised a phone call later that afternoon with further updates....it never came. I rang twice to be told the salesman was "busy" and would get back to me, ringing a third time at 6.15 to be told he'd gone home. He did, however, return my phone call the following morning, apologising and saying he had left the building at 7pm due to high workload....the first of the lies to come, Checking with Vauxhall the following day, an employee informed me the new vehicle had been with them twice in recent times with the same issue showing when I was driving, The second occasion they could not locate the fault, Wingrove clearly knowing this car had issues but still happily letting me part with hard earned cash in the hope it would not rear its head any time soon. Later in the week another Wingrove employee got in touch with me to update about the car.....still no further forward. Eventually I was told they were happy to cancel the sale (as was my suggestion) as it was going to be "too expensive" to fix the problem and still make themselves profit. I drove the 30+ miles to the garage to discuss and was handed a cheque for the full amount I had paid. This meant I now had to wait up to a week to get my money back despite having paid them instantly. I would now have to wait to purchase a new car and was left for nearly two weeks in total without a vehicle. Throughout the entire sham of an experience with Wingrove there was very little in the way of an apology....they even suggested trying to sell me another vehicle! I was out of pocket having changed insurance details, etc at a cost before having to change again to my next car. The only credit I can give the company is the fact that they did (eventually!) supply a courtesy car, swiftly returned when they gave me my cheque. Other than that they have simply been the WORST motor company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They care about taking your money, they don't give two hoots about anything else!!

Wingrove Motor Company in Newcastle appear welcoming and hospitable when you enter their showroom as a potential customer. After you give them your money, they couldn't care less about you. After purchasing a car, when I had an issue, they were unresponsive for the most part and uninterested/unwilling to help/rude when i did get through. I had to escalate this to Peugeot UK. Avoid this dealership. Also, my AdBlue tank, which was supposed to be filled when serviced, ran low 4 months after they supposedly serviced it for me (before handover). A full tank is supposed to last around 12 months. Lazy servicing seems to be an issue based on other reviews too.

The salesman placed an order for a car with my son for a motability car and took a deposit off him without me being present. This is totally against motability rules. And although Motability made them cancel the order they will not return the deposit. This was at the Robins and Day Newcastle branch.

I am very happy with my car form Robins and day in Newcastle. The car was really nice and clean and in really good condition and up to now I have had no issues with it at all. The dealers have been really helpful and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good car.
