I saw a car on the Autotrader web-site last Monday and went to see it, and test drive it on Tuesday. The car was good value but needed a few things doing to it. The Sales Manager agreed to replace the steel spare wheel, refurbish the 4 alloy wheels and steam clean the engine. We collected the car topday at 1.00 pm. It was in prostine condition with all the rfemedial work having been completed. In my opinion Runneymede Motor Company and staff are a pleasure to do business with

I bought my new car 08th of May 2018, from Runnymede Motor Company and I would not hesitate to recommend this company and I would buy from them again. I cant believe the bad review seen on this site as my experience has been completely the opposite. The car I bought was actually much better than condition than describe in Autotrader and very good value for money. For this purchase I have been treated with respect and honesty. The staff of this company has been very helpful, and pleasant to deal with and I wasn't pushed with hard sale tactics like in other garages I had visited. There was I little chip on the windscreen which the company have replaced immediately at no cost to me. I fund all the bad reviews on this website been not the true description of this company according my experience and I would not hesitate to recommend this company. E.P. Company Director

After asking to view a car, having delays due to the weather and being told the car would be available to view, when I arrived later the same day car was sold, despite having left my contact details with them. The gentlemen we spoke to seemed completely uninvested in their customer care and didn't even apologise for wasting our time.

Runnymede Motor company Windlesham. I bought a Volkswagen Eos from them & from the first time to see the car the hood didn't work properly, so Josh said it would be fixed by sat for me to pick the car up. On the sat it was raining so i couldn't raise the hood but the owner assured me it was all working.In a few days when it was fine i tried the hood & it didn't work so i kept phoning them, after 7 attempts i was contacted by Koridan a very arrogant fellow who asked me to take the car to their workshop in Datchet. Enter Dario he tried the roof several times, banging the roof & inside the boot with his hands(where the micro switches are to operate the roof) & eventually it worked, Dario squirted copper grease into every orifice he could find & said it was fixed. I took the car home tried the hood no it only opened halfway again, back to the workshop which everything got a bit heated because all they do is lie which angered me,i was even accused of being racist because i asked if Koridan was polish. I have now had the car inspected by another mechanic who found there was a fault with 2 micro switches which caused the fault. They have refused to give me my money back so i am now seeking compensation for £652.00 to get the hood fixed,& will be probably have to go through the small claims court to get the money. Do not buy any cars from this company,they all blatantly lie & deviate so it all ends up your fault & take your hard earned money with no conscience.
The Runnymede Motor Co in Old Windsor invites customers to enquire via email leaving telephone no and email address and as a serious customer I did this with reference to a particular vehicle. When I was phoned later that day I asked to test drive the car in question. It was agreed that the weather was not suitable (snow and ice) and that the test drive would be postponed until the next day. On arriving at the garage the next day, I was informed by the sales man that the car had been sold. No attempt had been made to contact me to let me know another customer was interested, even though the company had my phone number and email address. What bad manners, what time wasters. I didn't receive an apology - the salesman continued to sit at his desk and argue that I 'should leave a deposit'. I pointed out that it's not customary to leave a deposit without seeing the car first. 'You should have phoned', he said. I told him I had spoken on the phone with his colleague and had an arrangement to test drive the car today because the garage wouldn't allow it yesterday. I live in the same village as the garage but I won't be doing business there ever. If I could rate them with no stars at all, I would.

Further to your both reviews, we would like to point out that we have been dealing with you on numerous occasions, helping you and your husband with any queries and allowing you to test drive approximately 10-15 of our vehicles over the last two years. Within this time, we tried our best to accommodate your needs and have been very patient, understanding and helpful despite you not purchasing any vehicle within that time. On this occasion, we understand that you were potentially interested in one of our vehicles but could not come here due to adverse weather conditions. We were open and very willing to offer you a test drive on that day , however it has been postponed by yourself. We offered to take a small (FULLY REFUNDABLE) deposit, which does not oblige you to purchase the car, it would however mean that we take the car off sale (temporarily) until you can come and view the car and subsequently make a decision. This too, has been declined. We treat all our customers equally and respectfully. We are a business, open 7 days a week and since there was no deposit placed on this car, it was available for sale. Purchased a car on the 17th of july17 within 6 days the engine light was on and car lacked power. I took the car to a very trusted garage and told the diagnostics came up with 2 fault codes and given a price of over 800 hundred pounds and warranty would only pay a third of this. Told the garage I wanted to return they car tried everything they could to stop this when they finally agreed said they would need to inspect the car took it to their work shop and must of turned the engine light off and reset the fault codes as they claimed there were not any even though I had proof from the independent garage that there were major faults not an hour earlier. I have given the car back and have sent all evidence to the finance company really hope that's an end to it but if not I will take runnymead motors to court will also be reporting them to trading standards absolutely disgusting company wish I had read reviews before buying from them they just want to make as much money as possible on cars that should actually be at the scrap yard.

Hello Apologies for the late response to your review...... You have test driven the car to your satisfaction and at the point of sale, the car was in full working order, You covered over 300 miles whilst the car was in your possession. Once we got notified about this problem, we had no hesitation in taking the car back for a full diagnosis and repair. This had been declined as you made a decision to obtain a full refund. We have not denied that we would not give you/finance company in your case a full refund. The fact that we were accepting the vehicle back has been mutually agreed over the phone. and subsequently a written confirmation has been given to yourself for your record. The point we were trying to get across to you over the phone was, that we needed the vehicle back for cosmetic inspections prior to this refund being processed. I'm having exactly the same experience as this, i'm claiming compensation off them for expenses to fix the car they sold me.
Purchased a vehicle from Runnymede Motor Co (through autotrader) I found that there were some significant problems with the vehicle. two days later I rejected the sale (Consumer Rights Act 2015) and they did everything in their power to try and persuade me not to return the vehicle, which ironically made me want to return it even more. Then, after having returned it, they tried to refund me £500 short of the original purchase price and after some arguing got it up to £250 short. Very slow responses, and negating their obligations. I've small-claimed them. They've also got good auto trader review, rather too good to be true - looks like they're planting fake reviews on there (and possibly here). In addition, after contacting Runnymede Motor Companies, it transpires that there are TWO. The other is a reputable dealership selling high-end cars. I spoke to the owner who said that the 95 Straight Road Runnymede Motors had set up shop around 2014/15, and he had received a lot of complaints from customers thinking they were calling the other dealership of the same name. Very dodgy indeed.

Hello You purchased from us a BMW 330i. This car is a performance car. You test drove the car with our salesperson to your complete satisfaction. Prior to your purchase it has also been thoroughly inspected by yourself. The vehicle has been returned to us due to brake discs being warped and the power steering failure. Our technician inspected the car and the brakes were warped and making a sound that was not present at the point of purchase. We were therefore of the view that this had occurred in the time of your ownership during which the car covered some 300 miles over couple of days. We did however, accept the power steering pump had failed and subsequently gave you a partial refund and accepted back the vehicle. You accepted the brakes were not warped at the point of delivery and that this had occurred during your ownership. We made a deduction for the damage caused to the brakes of £275.00. This has been mutually agreed in an amicable manner. This £275 purely covered the discs. We believe that is a fair deduction for the damage caused to the brakes. All relevant paperwork in connection to any accident damaged car will be provided at the point of sale. These cars are rare, we hardly deal with accident damaged cars, however, this will never be hidden from our customers. Full HPI is always provided with every car we sell.
