2nd time my car has been to Ryder’s slow puncture front passenger not fixed first time round tyres rotated slow puncture ended up at the back drivers side had to go back dropped car off again at 8:00am still not ready @ 5:00pm told they didn’t have a tyre even though it was booked in 2 weeks prior, They even suggested it wasn't the original puncture Told I have to go back again because they don’t have the tyre I’m fuming. Terrible service god knows what goes on in the garage why it takes so long. I will never use this dealer again. I wouldn’t give them a 1 star but had to to get the review on.
I’ve searched for a brand new car to fulfill my needs in a 4x4 that can tow my new caravan however, Ryders admitted they couldn’t supply and they pointed me to a used Santa Fe with AWD. Bought the car then after just days I noticed a few issues appearing so, I contacted Emma, manager of service and after care. They didn’t seem interested but did my car a cursory inspection. The rear suspension is so bouncy that the supplying caravan dealer would not let me take our new caravan away until the shocks on the car had been fixed. They said, “no car should bounce like this, it’s unsafe to hitch it to a caravan. Emma still to this day will not acknowledge that my Santa Fe has an issue. Plus, just weeks after picking up my car, it’s dropped its coolant. This car had supposedly been checked by Hyundai trained technicians for safety and quality purposes. I asked for a copy of the inspection criteria and, the actual inspection carried out on my car. They refused both. I’ve bought many cars from franchised dealers. This is, by far, the worst car buying experience of my 48 years motoring. Never will I trust a Hyundai dealer again to provide my family with a replacement vehicle. Absolutely and totally unprofessional and not trustworthy to supply any car. If I could choose 0 stars I would because they are not worthy of even one star.

My Citroen C1 is now ten years old and nearly at 100,000 miles. It is at the point where it will cost too much to keep it going so on the advice of my girlfriend who bought her Hyundai from Ryders Warrington, we decided to look at cars there via the internet. I spotted an ideal looking car within minutes so phoned Ryders to make an enquiry. The salesman, Stephen Johnson, was very pleasant and welcoming over the telephone, and I was able to arrange an appointment to view and test drive the vehicle that same day. My girlfriend and I were there within two hours and found Stephen to be just as welcoming in person as over the telephone. He guided me through the paperwork process in order to secure the finance deal, and then allowed me to take a test drive in the vehicle I was interested in. Upon arrival back at the dealership, I decided I wanted to proceed, and Stephen guided me through the paperwork. At no point was there any pressure from Stephen to push the sale through; he was thoroughly professional and explained everything in detail, along with a breakdown of the repayments and any additional extras I may want to add. In the next few days, Stephen called me a few times to ensure I was still happy with everything and kept me updated on how things were progressing. He even gave me the opportunity to bring my outgoing C1 to the dealership and they would dispose of it for me, which subsequently saved me booking an appointment with another company to get it disposed of! Truly wonderful service provided by Stephen and Ryders. My girlfriend recommended them to me, and from the experience I had, it was clearly obvious why she recommended them so highly! My wife an I called into Ryders 3 weeks ago to look at the new Santa Fei, When we got there one guy was eating his lunch another watching videos on YouTube and another just shuffling paper. After 5 minutes of standing there waiting for help we went and asked somebody in the office, we were given the keys of the car and simply told to drop them at reception when we are done. We then went in to ask about the car much to the disgust of the fella watching videos on his work computer and told not to bother as we couldn't get one until December due to stock issues. At that point we simply left as the service was shocking, zero customers in the showroom, 3 sales people and not one could be bothered to talk to us. We then called Hyundai in Stockport who told us we could get the top range vehicle we wanted by June. 2 hours later it was sorted, car ordered and now waiting for delivery. I would recommend anybody looking for a car not to attend this dealership as they are unprofessional, rude and simply arrogant.

Disgusting behaviour from Phil wynn couldn't even start the car I was test driving key for battery was dead I had to tell him he had no clue offered me £3000 less than what my car was worth in part ex went another hyundai dealer and got a far better deal and picking the new car up a day after speaking to them ryders can only get the car in 3 months rubbish stay away

Rude and arrogant staff. More interested in meeting sales targets than customers. Sorted a deal for me, went to pay deposit and they'd pre registered the car to hit target so the car was now classed as 2nd hand and couldn't to CLH anymore. Not bothered in the slightest. Weird phone conversation with Terry mostly silence at the end of the line from him. Steer well clear! Genuine review.
I WITNESSED THE MOST INCREADIBLY INSULTING AND RUDE BEHAVIOUR BY A MEMBER OF STAFF FROM RYDERS. I APPROACHED THEM TO ASK ABOUT A TUCSON HYBRID. I MISTAKENLY WENT TO THE BRANCH AND WAS TOLD THAT NO ONE COULD DEAL WITH ME BECAUSE OF COVID19. HOWEVER, IF I STOOD OUTSIDE AND PHONED IN THAT WOULD BE ACCEPTABLE. I REMARKED HOW UTTERLY DAFT THAT SOUNDED BUT AGREED AS WE ALL HAVE TO ABIDE BY THE RULES. AS I TURNED TO LEAVE A TALL GENTLEMAN APPROACHED AND WITHOUT INTRODUCING HIMSELF TOLD ME "IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT THERE ARE OTHER PLACES YOU GO" STARTLED I SAID"I BEG YOUR PARDON" AND WAS THEN TOLD YOU HEARD NOW - OFF" I TURNED TO LEAVE AND SCREWED UP THE TELEPHONE NUMBER AND SAID "I WILL" AND LEFT. I WAS PURSUED OUTSIDE BY THE GENTLEMAN WHO CONTINUED TO BERATE ME BY SAYING "WERE YOU BORN SUCH A PRICK "? I TURNED TO FACE HIM AND ASKED " WHERE IS THE MANAGER" AND TO MY AMAZEMENT HE SAID " I AM THE MANAGER!!!!!!!" SO GENERAL PUBLIC BEWARE THIS IS HOW YOU COULD GET TREATED AT RYDERS OF WARRINGTON WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO SPEND £30,000 PLUS. I WENT THERE IN GOOD FAITH .. I APOLOGIES FOR NOT KNOWING THE RULES ...I HAVE BEEN EDUCATED AND NOW UNDERSTAND THAT I WILL NEVER...EVER.. VISIT THIS COMPANY AGAIN. IN MY HUMBLE OPINION HYUNDAI MAY WISH TO LOOK A LITTLE DEEPER AT THIS BRANCH AND ITS CUSTOMER SERVICE, FROM THE TOP DOWN.
Tread very carefully if you intend to do business with Ryders of Warrington. They will say anything to get you to buy one of their top priced cars, but once you have delivery of the vehicle their promises are soon forgotten and the excuses start. Then they become nasty from the salesman, to the General Manager and their Director. As a condition before I purchased one of their cars they said they would carry out remedial paintwork to the car BEFORE it was delivered. It was delivered as arranged but I immediately noticed the bodywork damage had not been repaired. The salesman apologised but said there was a small bottle of touch up paint in the glove compartment and I could carry out the necessary paintwork repairs myself !! I said I would prefer their professional people to do the job. I was told it would take them a "couple of hours" to do the job and I took the car to their workshop only to be told that the damage to the wheel arch and front bumper would need to be sprayed, so I returned home with the car. I then received a vexatious telephone call from their salesman who shouted at me (a sick 80 year old) saying that he never told me they would respray the damage to the wing. He wouldn't listen to my explanation that it was their workshop foreman who said it needed spraying - not me ! Eventually I spoke to Scott Ryder who said they would repair the defects as promised and he arranged for the car to be picked up from my home in Bolton and take it to their workshop where it was kept for more than a day and a half. When it was returned, the damage to the paintwork had been done, in a fashion, but looked amateurish. I sent a letter to Scott Rider detailing my dissatisfaction but he didn't reply himself. Instead, the General Manager telephoned me and abruptly told me they were not prepared to do anything else. He did, however, say I could return the car by the end of the week for a full refund, knowing full well that doing so would put me in a worse position then when I bought the car because I had by then sold my own car and not only would it have been quite a problem to return to Bolton from Warrington but I would then have a problem visiting other places to buy another car. Much as I don't want to, because of my health problems, I am considering legal action against Ryders. So my message is " Beware" of this company who will change their attitude once you have bought a car if you find any problems with it.
