Im just going to list what was wrong with the van. All these issues id have to fix myself, less a poxy £600 he gave me back. Starting from the bottom up. Here we go!!! Drive shaft, top mount bushings, alternator wheel and belt, side setion of engine where belt attached to, sump re sealed(oil leak) side section was replaced and sealed because it was beaten up and leaking. Turbo inlet/outlet leaking oil and so was another place, cant think where. Add a mass air flow meter to this and now, finally i can afford to get my turbo reconditioned because it had high turbo pressure. I dont even know the cost of the bushings and turbo yet, theyre the last 2 to be done. Your talking, with labour about 3.5/4 grand. I would NEVER recommend going to them. They obviously just buy cars and sell them on without checking them. They give them a good clean and thats about it. Vile, to let someone buy a van, knowing they were going to spend a fortune turning it into a campervan, and not giving a fuck. Scumbag.

If i could give a 6 for the description for the vehicle i would! I hadn't seen the vehicle before picking it up so I had to take the dealers words for it and his words were solid! Rykel Automotive is a Quality dealership, had a few issues but they got everything sorted out for me. I recommend!

I like the above am having trouble and being messed around each day after broken promises about returning my deposit on a car I bought off them 12 weeks ago They never seem to answer calls and only reply by text , I bought an Audi A4 convertible off them and never had it three weeks and the engine blew , I had to foot the bill to transport the car from Coventry to Essex (finally got half bk ) they had the car for six weeks and nearly most weeks promising it will be back with me by the end of the week , this went on for a good few weeks so I put in an email and written text I did not want the car it just felt dodgy what was going on , I got talked round , then more broken promises so I insisted again I did not want the car , then Ryan's dad again as good as insisted I had no choice but to have the car back ! I finally got the car back 6-7 weeks after transporting it to them and it arrived with a major oil leak , I took it to a mechanic at guy salmon jaguar , he strongly advised me not to take the car it's got major problems and was kind enough to explain this to Ryan's dad himself over the phone , the car was left there on the mechanics advice and I myself had to sort out transportation bk to Essex at Ryan's cost !! , this was three weeks ago and for two weeks now iv been promised and promised and constantly let down about returning my 2150 deposit , I have informed trading standards as of today , all this has done is stress me and my family out and cost me a fortune in many ways , in the three weeks of having the car I spent 700 on few initial problems , I also don't understand why me as a customer that's been sold a faulty car should have to fit half the bill to get the car they sold to me back to them to repair the problem, I'm disgusted and suprised with the way a company that makes out its a decent company act the way they have , I would strongly warm anyone buying a vehicle to stay well away from this company they are not what they make out and hope no one else has the same stress I have had !!!

Hello liam, i bought a van off him in October last year to do a camper conversion. First off there was an oil leak. Then the alternator wheel just fell off. Got that fixed myself, £300. Then put it in a garage to sort oil leaks, turns out it had 4, and a beaten up side panel where the wheel fell off. The sump, side section, turbo inlet and outlet and air filter all fixed, with a new side section. £1300. Drive shaft £260. I got £600 back off him, because he said thats what it would have cost him. I also had to get an air flow meter and its in now get suspension bushings sorted. The engine light came on as soon as i got on the motorway and it was high turbo pressure, which is getting sorted now, hopefully its just a sensor. All this happened AFTER id spent £5,500 kitting the back out in mto a camper!!! He knew why i bought it and sold me a piece of shit. Im about 3.5 over budget just it get it right. He didn't even have the decency to show up while i bought it after getting the train down from Liverpool. So i will probably struggle to break even when i come to seel it eventually. Even if id have sent it to him to fix, like you did, he would never have sorted all the issues that ive had to get sorted out. Hopefully this week will be the last of it. Id advise anyone to steer clear of them.
The man I dealt with at Rykel Automotive is a good bloke, I had a problem with the windscreen washer bottle which he sorted right away and even put on 2 new tyres when I mentioned they were worn. Any queries I've called up about he has got straight back and answered them for me, nice fella and well worth top marks.

I bought a vehicle from this so called company in 2012. They seemed helpful enough at the time until I purchased the vehicle and attempted to drive the vehicle home. I got 30 miles down the road and the vehicle can to a halt with the power decreasing. To cut a long story short, it was the diesel particulator filter that was blocked and had been wielded. Problem is the car couldn't clear the blockage itself and due to the heat, the wielded area blew a hole. Their so called warranty wouldn't cover the £2500 for the new DPF and despite all their excuses, it became a hard fought battle to get my money back out of them i.e. threatening legal action and intervention from trading standards. I recommend to avoid using this company
