Attended this so called dealership yesterday to view a Volkswagen Golf, upon arriving at location there were hundreds of cars from Ferrari 's to bog standard cars. There were no prices displayed on any vehicles all vehicles were dirty and looked like they had been sat there for sometime we were told the Golf was at their other depot and they would arrange for it to be brought over within 30 mins. We were encouraged to test drive two other vehicles, we test drove a Astra which was clean on the inside although hardly any fuel in it. Took it out brakes were grinding and the vehicle pulled to the left, took it back and were encouraged to take a Golf out they had there whilst still waiting for the original Golf we were supposed to be viewing we did not even take this car out of the yard due to the engine management light displaying on the dash. There were some plants growing in green houses and some green houses were full of filthy cars that looked fit for scrap! Eventually the Golf arrived filthy and something hanging down from the front underneath we took the vehicle out it had no fuel as fuel light was on the steering wheel was not straight and cardboard shoved in the corner of passenger front window! The car was a heap! Took it back and made a quick escape everything about these so called dealers did not seem right! DO NOT BUY FROM S H Car Sales IS MY ADVICE.

I agreed to purchase a car for several thousand pounds and pay a £250 holding deposit which I was advised that would be refunded immediately if the car was not as described in the ebay advert which described the car as "Excellent throughout" or indeed if I did not want the car for any other reason. Following a 5 hour journey the car I inspected the car at the train station to find that the car was an absolute mess, with every panel requiring work of some description, the alloy wheels were kerbed, the interior leather split and torn. Upon advising the rep that I would not be proceeding with the purchase and wanted my deposit back, his demeanor changed immediately, becoming very threatening advising that I would not see any of the deposit again. I am left £500 out of pocket including the deposit and train fare (not to mention a wasted day) I have given them a rating of 1 out of 5 as there was not an option to give them 0. I have every intention of reporting this company to the Trading standards.

Saw a car advertised by them as in pristine condition and called them to confirm what they had advertised and as I was happy the description of the car I paid them the deposit and arranged to collect the car the next day. When I got there the car was not ready so had to wait about 20 minutes for the car to be ready for testing. After seeing the car I was not impressed at all but decided to test anyway. Took the car for a test drive and the brakes went straight to the floor and the seller who was with me warned me twice to be carful with brakes and to drive slowly, (to me the car should not be allowed on the road at all with this brakes). The car was full of rust, the mileage on the car was much higher than what was advertised, the car had 2 registered owners instead of 1 as advertised and not in pristine condition as advertised. So I was not prepared to take the car specially with the brakes not functioning at all and asked for my deposit back and they refused. They were very rude as well. I must say this dealer should be avoided and trading standards to investigate them. I will be reporting them to trading standard as well.

Found a car from s h car sales on auto trader, described as immaculate low miles and full service history, but it was far from any of those things! The steering wheel was nearly upside down when going in a straight line, awful drag to the left, tatty body work and less than a handful of recipes considering it was full service history, for a car with only 60,000 on the clock the engine looked and sounded like it done 260,000, but yet no previous mot certificates to prove previous miles, it had 11 months mot but the car was no where near road worthy obviously not a genuine mot, I ask for refund of my deposit due to the car not being described properly and for travaling 190 miles to view but they refuesed, most arrogant people I've ever met, disgusting attitudes just pure con men, please stay well away!

Spent 5.5k on a car. Broke down within 4 months, total write off due to faulty engine! Called office and rude staff wouldn't help. Now going through solicitors and trading standards to get a refund. Awful AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!!!

Bought a Merc ML from these back in the summer within a day started noticing problems. It wouldn't start, took it for a service and found out it needed new disc brakes, glow plugs, electric Mirror not working, back window wouldn't work. New mot had no advisories but the one before which hadn't ran out did which was to replace the brakes and discs. The mot was obviously dodgy to have my car road worthy it cost me £1500. And the Mercedes garage told me the car was not forecourt standard. When I spoke to S H car sales they weren't interested. Since then I have had a full service as other problems were picked up. The car has broken down several times I have had to replace the computer components, battery, and now the alternator has gone and I am yet again left without a vehicle as it is back in the garage. To say I unhappy is an understatement this garage needs closing down they are just con men. When I perchased the car the insured me the car was perfect with no problems whatsoever, I have had the car 6 months and it's spent half of that time in the garage. For a car costing £10,000 plus £3,000 in repairs and now a cost of £700 for anew alternator I have been truly conned I have spent more on the car than what it is worth. My advice buy from somewhere else, keep away from these cowboy traders. They refused me a refund and were not helpful at all. I have reported them to trading standards so hopefully something shall be done about these dodgy dealers.

Bought a car from them within 2 days the car was broken had had to be returned still waiting for the full amount of a refund,

My other half brought me a 4X4 for my birthday present a day after having it we noticed problems they offered to fix it they had it a week & when we got it back within 5 mins of it being on the drive we noticed it hadn't been fixed at all we told them& they told us to take it to our garage & they will pay for it. Which we did After couple days our garage wrang us & said it will cost around £1200+ they said they would pay it, but this wasnt the problem, the problem was that the garage would of had to strip the whole of the engine down & do a whole new rebuild & even that would still not be reliable to drive. The bloke also said it was bodge job So we told them and 1 rude manager who thought he was above everyone else told us we was not allowed a refund. So we went to trading standards and told him he said I don't care I'll get my lawyer involved. Anyway 2 weeks later we got our money back! I will never go there again! I will never recommend them to anyone! Rude, arrogant & unhelpful.
