Picked up my new car from SJ Prestige recently and had an excellent experience. The sale was smooth and easy going, plus a hiccup with a car I had intended to part-ex was sorted even when they really didn't have to help me. Highly recommended, and the car itself is beautiful.

I bought a bmw 350d, after viewing the car unprepared the team agreed to rectify any minor issues and spec the car cosmetically as I requested. The test drive was great - as the sales reps was the least pushy and probably most honest I have ever encountered. I spoke to the mechanic, sales team and even the director all of whom were really helpful and forthcoming. I have bought several used cars so recognising honesty and frankness comes from experience. In short the cars are quality, the staff are top class and I would certainly go back to saint James prestige. If you have any concerns I would talk to them directly. Top notch!

These tried to sell me a car with outstanding finance. I was ready to go and buy this car out right, hpi checked it to find it had outstanding finance when I asked why they said that’s how they buy and sell them and that the finance would be cleared within 48 hours of me handing over £20,000. (Fishy) when I asked if they would buy my car with outstanding finance (which it didnt) bassicaly asking if the shoe was on the other foot would they be happy to buy my car the way they sell there cars. They replied not if I couldn’t prove finance had been payed off. If you ask me I wouldn’t buy a car from somebody who thinks it’s one rule for one and one for another

I purchased a BMW from S James Prestige earlier this year. Look carefully would be my advice! This was my first used car purchase from an independent dealer and with hindsight I have learnt to inspect a car a lot closer as a result. I missed the chipped windscreen that I had to get fixed within the first three days. The tyres supplied with the car are new but are totally unsuitable for the power of the car and also are the minimum width for the rims, leaving the wheel rim edge badly exposed and at risk of kerbing. I managed to kerb them on a dropped drive kerbway even. Not remotely suitable for everyday use. The poor quality tyres don’t inspire confidence nfidence and this leads to a poor driving experience and you are unable to safely use the power available. Other reviews suggest that the body kits and wheels are counterfeits and this doesnt surprise me as quality seems low. Eg one of the ‘M’ badges came off one of the wheels and appeared to be a cheap sticker.

Waited over 2 weeks for the car, no calls nothing, i had to chase them every time. Went to buy the car after travelling over 100 miles to see the kits are very poor and did not fit right, the car had a dent on the corner and the paint had marks on the drivers side. The wheels well i would be very careful being happy with these with the tyres with a car that producing over 300 bhp. Waste of time but i am happy due to fining the same car with only 5k and 1250 cheaper, the genuine kits are £1275 from BMW so think before you go to this dealer.......trust me !!!!

The experience was very good with S James Prestige until I washed the car for the first time and suspected some scratches on the bonnet. The following week I cleaned the bonnet with strong detergent which revealed deep swirl scratches which had been filled with coloured polish. I range S James and they said they had not done it and offered nothing in terms of resolving the issue or covering the cost of repair. Be aware when you go there, the cars are good but things are potentially hidden on some cars!
