Initially the service was good and car looked amazing, 2 weeks down car had problems and recalls still awaiting on response to get the work fixed!! Car not as is seemed and now stress

Bmw 435d purchased last week of Dec 2018. Car recalled by BMW for EGR VALVE In March 2019. No car for 7 weeks! S James claim no knowledge of this although recalls first sent out in Oct 2018. Lie! May 2019 oil leak from sum gasket at cost of 950 quid! No car for another week! The wheels they put on car are not balanced so you get steering wheel whobble. They say 6mths road tax but it was only 5. The body kit they put on is cheap on closer inspection you can see all the glue they have used. Most of their cars are from auction beware! The Mark up is ridiculous. DONT NOT BUY A CAR from s James. Over the phone once they have your cash they are rude and disrespectful.

Viewed a bmw, basically use a cheap I’ll-fitting body kit and cheap replica alloys which overhang the inner tyres. Be careful dealing with S James Prestige.

Seen a car I liked online, asked S James Prestige some questions over the phone as I’m quite picky with cars and know what I want. I asked if it was a genuine performance bmw, upgraded at bmw, they said yes, it since been made known they order replica bodywork and wheels and for them to cars and sell as m performance. I booked flights to pick up my new car, a few days before the salesman decided to remove the wheels off my car and sell them to someone else, so when I arrived to collect my new car I had to pay £200 for wheels that would get me home and the new wheels would be sent to my home address. After 3 weeks the new wheels arrived. After paying to get the tyres fitted, the tyre is smaller than the rim so, to me, it seems I need a bigger tyre or smaller rim, but the salesman said it’s the correct size and all the cars they sell have the rim sticking out further than the tyre at the front! If my wheels were on the car that I paid for when I collected it I would have seen this and never committed to buying as it looks terrible. They offered no help, once they had my money all care was gone. Quality of workmanship on the genuine replica m performance fitting is questionable, if you want genuine upgraded cars, look somewhere else, these are replicas, cheap imitations sold at genuine prices. Avoid.

My experience with S James Prestige was totally positive nothing like a couple of the reviews on here. The buying experience was superb they pointed out several details they would rectify before sale of the vehicle and they did them all. Went back the following day for my wife to try and nothing was too much trouble. They supplied a copy of the HPI report and there was a transferable warranty with the car. The slippery warranty company would not transfer the warranty as it had gone through a dealer (autoguard / AXA i will do no business with you in the future) i contacted S James there was no problem at all they provided a new premium warranty at their expense no arguments just sorted it. This to me is a measure of the company the sale had gone through they had my cash at this point i had had the car over a week and there was no hint of them trying to wriggle out of it. The car was at a very competitive pric one very satisfied customer thanks Tom.
