I bought a car from them on the 5th of February. £8,250 completely knackered by the 7th of June. Bottom end has gone along with the turbo and cam belt. All my savings gone. Save yourself the pain and by somewhere else

We purchased a vehicle from this dealer in January 23. We went to see the vehicle there were two cosmetic issues which the dealer said he would arrange and repair at a later date as he hadn't found parts as yet. Other than this we were happy with the vehicle and him and his wife knew all the right things to say to get the sale ! Unfortunately we were taken in! Within two days of us having the vehicle warning lights appeared. We contacted the dealer who was helpful and said he would get these looked at. They were "fixed" a week or so later but then again within a few days warning lights returned. The clutch was also playing up at this point. The dealer arranged for the vehicle to go to "a specialist" which was over 40 miles from our home and we had to take it ourselves. The vehicle was diagnosed and a repair was booked at our local garage and paid for by the dealer. At this point we thought that would be the end of it. From there no mention from the dealer fixing the 2 cosmetic issues was brought up again and we couldn't be bothered to keep on. We were now in March and things still were not right. Car never felt safe we would avoid long journeys in it. The clutch would not return upright and the electrics(radio/screen) would stop working then come back on randomly. By the end of April we had enough and contacted the dealer to explain we would now have to speak with the finance company about returning the vehicle. A complaint was made and the process of right to reject began. This is when his true colours showed. He began to say that certain issues were never reported to him but they were as I would WhatsApp him he would never reply by message always call so as to not leave evidence I guess. The finance company explained it was a lengthy process and as he was not willing to accept the vehicle back it would take a while. A week or so after the complaint was made the brakes completely went on the vehicle and it was now off the road and we were not able to use it. We had only done a small amount of miles in the car so these were clearly on their way out at the point of purchase. As part of the process we had to have an independent engineer out to verify all the issues. He did his assessment and although was supposed to be impartial he did say he was shocked it was sold with so many issues and even found issues we didn't even know there were. There were also 7 historical hidden faults found ! The report was sent to the finance company and the negotiations went on for weeks between the dealer and them as he would not accept it back. He then contacted me directly and I explained we did not want the vehicle or his extended warranty as we had lost all faith it in. Eventually the finance company agreed to write us out of the Finance and refund a part of the payments we had made and that they would collect the vehicle and take the dealer to Court as even though they had offered him a fair price to return the vehicle he was not accepting it. We were advised it could take two weeks for this to be arranged. We then heard that the dealer had finally given in and was going to take the vehicle back as it was better than going to court but had refused to arrange the collection of the vehicle and that we had to do it. Luckily the finance company paid for the recovery but this was just him being awkward. Interestingly when ringing local recovery firms they all had issues with this dealer before and when I explained they were not surprised at all as this was typical of him ! They vehicle was returned to the dealer on 22nd June. The finance company advised he would have to do his cosmetic checks and then we would be released from the finance. The following week I chased up the finance company and surprise surprise he was now saying the vehicle was damaged! Luckily I had taken a video and pictures of the vehicle before it was returned. The things he listed as damaged were laughable and he even listed the 2 cosmetic issues that were there when we purchased it that he never repaired ! Needless to say the finance company had now had enough and were going to take him to Court. Thankfully we were written out of the agreement and our refund processed and no longer had to be part of the very stressful situation. Do not purchase from this dealer they are cowboys! They have been all over the area and from what I have seen from other reviews and what I was told from the recovery companies they are well known for their bad experiences!
