I have felt the need to share my experience at Sandal BMW Wakefield in relation to a service/warranty matter for my pride and joy, a 2007 335i coupe. I have spent thousands on it over the years ensuring it looks and drives great. My issue started a few months back when it began to miss fire from a cold start - only for about 20/30 seconds of driving, it would then clear up and be fine - until it had cooled down and been stood for a few hours (already screaming “leaking injector”). I replaced the ignition coils and spark plugs with new, non OEM (but high performance: Bavarian and NGK) to eliminate those as causes. Still the same issue. In August 2022, Sandal BMW Wakefield replaced all 6 injectors with index 12’s under a vehicle recall. The injectors are still under their 2 year warranty so I proceeded to book it in, hoping they would be replaced and problem solved. Not the case! My car wasn’t even looked at the day I dropped it off, I had to call on day 2 at lunchtime for an update, to which I was told: Mr Foster, firstly your car has aftermarket air filters on it, it also has a loose breather pipe and an iffy looking earth wire repair. Our mechanic has been out on a test drive and cant find any problems. I was then advised to address the above issues (I have replaced the breather pipe and fixed the earth wire) and return the car to stock of there wasn't anything else they could do! So I have my car back, I was charged £167.50 for the hours time and I still have the issue/miss fire I took the car in with. Injectors are circa £300 each and testing them means removal, new teflon seals and couplers to put back. Im really annoyed and I feel that because my cars old they just aren’t bothered. I’m in a predicament here, I know its faulty injectors and I know they should be replaced free of charge - but what do I do? Risk being ripped off again by BMW and the issue not being resolved? Thanks for not helping at all Lauren Taylor at BMW Wakefield. Worth noting this is the 4th BMW I have owned and 2nd 2007 335i. I have had both new and old, 2016 335d touring and a 2019 M5. It shouldn’t matter, if only BMW looked after their current customers as well as they do the new customers in their showrooms!!

Purchased a brand new 2023 M3 cs from sandal Wakefield in June 2023. Car was kept dry stored inside on charge. However decided to drive the car ( only had 57miles on the car ) and the battery was causing issues. Got bmw assist to come view the car and was told battery needs to be charged with a lithium charge for 24hours. Car was taken to bmw Wakefield on Friday kept the car outside over the whole weekend unlocked took the car in Monday morning 11:30am and then rang me at 2pm telling me the battery was knackered and theyr not doing it under warranty and want £1200 for a battery replace DUSGUSTING ! Had my own tracker on the car which showed the car only being moved for an hour so coudnt have done much to it in that time even though I was advised for it to be charged for 24hours. Collected my car and had dirty shoes marks all over the carpet (mud) I paid £118,500 hard earned money for this car ! Shocking after care DO NOT VISIT WAKEFIELD BMW OR HUDDERSFIELD BMW OR SANDAL AUTOS IN WAKEFIELD ! Or youl be having the same Problems as me ! STRATSTONE BMW LEEDS are a lot more caring and put the customer first ! Thank you Lauren for wasting 4 days of my time just to tell me you won’t cover it under warranty.
Travelled to Wakefield Sandals 100 miles from home as they had the perfect Z4 we were not disappointed. Louis Cosgrave was efficient, engaged, knowledgeable and friendly. Having previously bought from our local BMW dealership I would rather travel 100 miles to Sandals. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Such a shame - thought i was going to get good service from what I assumed to be a reputable dealer - collected car as arranged ... not even been cleaned - dirty interior and just a quick handwash with no dry to the exterior - all interior windows were dirty - got up the day after to look at my pride and joy .... to discover the car had a flat tyre - took it to my local garage who found a slow puncture - checked all other tyres and all had minimal air - this was after a full BMW safety check the day before ? I think not ! On trip home the windscreen needed a wash and wipe - guess what ... not even a drop of water/screenwash - advised Sandal of the issues and was advised nothing will be done as I should have given them the opportunity to fix the trye - I live 20 miles away from Sandal BMW - How was I supposed to get there with 3 tyres inflated - Shocking service - will never use them again and will not be recommending them to use - plenty of other dealers out there

These guys will do anything to take your money, once they have sold you a new car. They do not look after you, and will do anything possible to wriggle out of completing any work under warranty. I will genuinely not buy from this dealership again. Neither will I buy a BMW again. Mercedes, Audi and VW dealers wipe the floor with these guys. My advice is not to go near these people. Perhaps the pandemic has hit them hard, and they are trying to make up for lost business... ?? Whatever it is... if they don’t win customers’ loyalty and look after them - they will go under. I fear that this may be the case for Sandal BMW Wakefield. They really are useless.

i went in to Sandal BMW Wakefield for 2nd time this month to complete the purchase of a new bmw x4. totally ignored by all staff members. after 20 minutes not one person had come over to speak to me. 3 sales guys were all stood too busy talking to each other. clearly this branch is arrogant enough to ignore customers. as i was on my own they happily spoke to the family couple but choose to ignore myself. i eventually gave up making the reception lady aware of the arrogance shown towards myself. rang up the dealer principle today who not best please. well done sandal bmw u lost a 45k order for a car.

Recently bought a second hand car, the service was very professional along with good communication and all conducted in a relaxed no pressure environment. The car was ready in the required time and to a high standard. I'd definitely recommend and use Sandal Wakefield again.
