Purchased a Ford focus Active X from sandicliffe stapleford Nottingham 4 months ago. Although the car itself is fine on the whole, the reason why I’m giving a poor rating is because the whole experience hasn’t been as good as it could be. When I buy a car (which happens very very rarely) I don’t want to have to take it back a few weeks later to sort something out yet this is what happened. I had issues with Apple CarPlay immediately and worked out the software wasn’t up to date. I tried updating this myself over WiFi which it says you can do, but it just didn’t work and seems this is the norm. So I had to take it back to get the software updated, more time out my busy schedule, and they tried to charge me the price of a courtesy car to use whilst it was being fixed! They said they would update the maps software also, yet when I picked the car up I asked if maps had been updated and they said it hadn’t been as that was chargeable, £75. Look, when you buy a Ford car from a Ford dealership, the least you expect is that they’ve taken the bloody time to update the software and satnav before you drive the thing away, the computer is the heart of the modern car and integral to the user experience, it’s basic stuff yet wasn’t done. Bad practice, and on this basis I can’t recommend them. Also, when I bought the car the salesman purportedly changed the batteries in both remotes, yet a few weeks later they both started saying batteries needed changing. It’s the little things which make for a good experience and there’s definitely room for improvement here.

We’ve just received our lovely new car from Sandicliffe in Stapleford. The service was excellent from start to finish (not that I’d expect anything less as this is our second car from them). Dale Knight could not do enough to help and find us the car we really wanted. Ever patient with my many questions! Due to Covid we couldn’t see the car but they sent us a very detailed video of it beforehand so we could be sure we liked it. We felt in good hands throughout this process. Don't buy a car from these guys! They rip you off by selling cars that haven't been check thoroughly. I bought an Audi A4, within a week the transmission was slipping and the cv joints need to be replaced. I bought it online, so i didn't have the chance to test drive the car. Boy, was that a mistake. I have a warranty, however, the warranty company won't honor it. They said this was a pre-existing issue and that Sandicliffe would have known about it. So, off to court, we go! Sandicliffe is SHIT!

Bad service. Poor management. All round bad place to get a car so would recommend going else where. I called up a day before i wanted to buy the car telling them that i will purchase the next day and will travel 200 miles to collect. When arrived the car wasn't ready and told i couldn't drive back that day!! What a joke the management is and now trying to change and extra £300 for delivery. Stay away people and go else where

We bought a new car last month from sandicliffe at stapleford and we managed to add a scratch, went to the showrooms to ask advise, we were sent by mark pallet to the bodyshop where we were met by a smile from sammy, who fetched another mark, he came and very quickly removed our scratch, we have found all the staff to be happy and helpful, aaron, who dealt with our buying of the car, was very helpful and patient.
