Back in December I bought a BMW 435d from Sarah Cox Cars, which unfortunately had a rough idle fault on cold start. The sales process was excellent, and certainly not pushy. We arrived in the evening and were left to look at the car in our own time, and then took the car on an unaccompanied test drive. Daniel and Nathan were both helpful in answering any questions and allowed us time to look through the service history. We viewed the car twice before leaving a deposit on it, the second time is when the fault was pointed out to us having being noticed by them and diagnosed as a bad MAF sensor which was replaced before collection. They also carried out an oil change, replaced a tyre and re-finished the diamond cut alloy wheels which had badly corroded and a couple of them were kerbed. Upon collection, the car was very clean and the handover process was straightforward and trouble-free. When I started the car I noticed the idle fault was still present. I contacted Sarah Cox Cars the next day to raise this and car was booked into local mechanic to investigate. Local mechanic was unable to pin-point the fault so car was taken back to Sarah Cox Cars to perform their own diagnostics and repair. I was given a clean courtesy car for the 9 days they had the car and kept well-informed on progress during this time. They believed the fault was fixed by a replacement injector on cylinder 5 and the car driven by Mark (the company owner) on numerous occasions. When I collected the car, the fault was not present as the engine was not cold. Unfortunately the fault appeared the next morning upon cold start. The car was taken into a local BMW specialist (authorised by Sarah Cox Cars) who diagnosed a misfire on cylinder 2 when cold using ISTA. Upon further inspection they found two glow plugs were damaged (one in cylinder 2 with a snapped tip in the cylinder head). The repair would require the cylinder head to be removed, and engine out. At this point I contacted Sarah Cox Cars to reject the car, I do feel communication had broken down a bit at this point and was not to the same high standard as previously received. However eventually they did agree to take the car back for a full refund and arranged a date to collect it. The car was collected by one of their drivers, and the money was returned to my bank before the car left us. While this hasn't been a smooth experience overall, I do feel that the patience from Daniel in trying to resolve this matter and service by Nathan during the sales process had been excellent. It was unfortunate that the car was taken in to them as part-exchange with this fault present, and a shame that it couldn't be easily fixed on this occasion. However, this sale would not put me off from using Sarah Cox Cars in the future, and I'm certain that other cars they are selling are to a great standard.

I Found the car I was looking for on Auto trader so contacted the dealership. I live 2 hours away so was not easy for me to view . I spoke to Nathan in car sales . I was given all the information regarding the car , history etc and Nathan answered all my questions. The car from his description was exactly what I wanted so I bought without seeing . Within 4 days the car was delivered to my door by a lovely gentleman who was polite , helpful and friendly. Nathan organised everything from finance to delivery and kept me up to date with the progress. The car was absolutely immaculate and exceeded my expectations. I was also given 1/2 tank of petrol which in my experience is unheard of. I had a courtesy call followed by an email from Heather thanking me for my purchase and details of the warranty, also offered an extended warranty. The whole experience from start to finish was second to none . Thank you 😊 I love my car and would highly recommend Sarah Cox Cars probably the best customer service with honesty and reliability I’ve ever had. 👏

This company to start with fill you with fake promises and make it sound like they are going to go above and beyond for you and the car you’re buying. I pointed out a few things to start with that I asked to be sorted before I purchased the car. They did paint both front and rear bumpers however when I asked about the chipped windscreen they said. I need to go through the insurance and they will reimburse the cost. (WHICH IS INSURANCE FRAUD). I have then had problems with the car (knocking from the drivers side wheel and a big hole in the air conditioning unit. The clutch has then began to slip) I have sent numerous email the first email was replied too then all contact has stopped. I have sent images of the problems. I have since had to pay for all of the above work sorting myself despite the warranty (THE WARRANTY IS NOT WORTH THE PAPER ITS WRITTEN ON). Do not buy a vehicle from this company absolutely disgusting aftercare service. The vehicle was not fit for purpose and has since cost me an awful lot of money to sort. I will be taking this matter further!! Furthermore on the MOT the vehicle failed and I was told that all major and advisory problems are sorted! This was also not the case when I took it for a pre MOT check. They had changed the brakes however there was still an oil leak coming from the car. Genuinely this company is robbing people of their hard earned money during a cost of living crisis! I have given the company 2 months to respond and sort out the problems however I’ve had nothing.
I purchased a Skoda kodiaq from this dealer and couldn’t be happier with the level of service I received. I was travelling quite a distance to see the vehicle therefore made use of the offer of a video tour of the vehicle which was very comprehensive and useful. Communication was mainly by phonecalls and WhatsApp which suited me and I always received prompt service in this regard. The car itself was very well presented and immaculate apart from the smallest of scratches on the rear bumper which was pointed out to me on the video before I travelled. I always felt that I was dealing with an honest garage and this was evident upon meeting the team and viewing the garage itself which was to a high standard. Going on my experience I would definitely buy from this garage again and would highly recommend them.

Not the best car buying experience I've had despite SCC going out of their way to fix problems with the car I purchased from them. In June 2022 I purchased a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee from SCC for £15k. Despite it having no service history I trusted the reputation SCC have for selling quality used vehicles, as well as past experience with them having bought previously from them with no problems whatsoever. Clearly however, as has been proven, I was wrong to trust their reputation again as this current car has been nothing but problems from day one.! In the last two months since buying my car from SCC it has spent more time with them in their workshop being fixed than it has with me! During which time SCC provided me with a courtesy car but that aside, it should never have left their workshop in the first place with so many problems. On return, eventually, after they fixed the problems, I identified yet more issues with the car. All these issues, past and present should really have been identified and fixed prior to me taking delivery of it in the first place and not left for me to sort out at considerable inconvenience when I should be left to enjoy my new purchase safe in the knowledge that as a reputable and trusted used car reseller, their pre delivery checks were impeccable and left no stone unturned. It seemed to me after only a few days of ownership this was not indeed the case and their pre delivery checks were very much lacking. In most respects my dealing with SCC were good and the majority of their staff are polite and courteous and went out of their way to be helpful, but there are certain individuals who I found to be condescending and to some extent patronising. Additionally I found their drivers have no respect for your vehicle and in my case left discarded rubbish in my car when they returned it and had helped themselves to my iPhone charger. Then to be told when I raised these issues with SCC that in their opinion they felt there was no room for improvement in the service they offer, I am left speechless. Clearly being disrespectful and stealing from customers cars is acceptable then?! Thankfully I no longer have the car in question as there were simply too many issues with it that SCC agreed to buy it back at the full price I paid. I have bought from SCC previously and that experience was very good. This time round however I feel they have let their standards slip and are not now one of the first places I would look when I come to buy another car. Buyer beware to ask for the service history and if there is none, I suggest you walk away as you simply don't know what you're buying and with no history to check it's very likely, like me, the car you end up with will have serious problems. Perhaps it was just unfortunate luck on my part to have bought a car from them with so many issues that has now tarnished my opinion of SCC, but I firmly believe if you put yourselves out there as a supplier of quality used vehicles then at least make sure the cars you sell are at least that and fit for purpose and not as in my case, a constant problem with issue after issue.

Sarah cox cars ltd from Sarah Cox Cars in response to Poor pre-delivery checks let them down.
Chris, Thankyou for your review of our company, people have their right to express their views for sure. The one thing we do not appreciate is an email implying if we, after giving you a full refund with no deductions, after using our car for 2000 miles, do not provide you compensation, you will be tempted to leave us a negative review - which indeed you have after we have declined to be held to a form of blackmail. I am not going to get involved with a 'tit for tat' response as we have over many, many emails. I just want to point out the 'serious problems' so people reading your review have both sides of the review. The 'serious' problems making the car you purchased unfit for purpose in your opinion were, a brake light blew a few days after owning (we replaced the bulb) there was a wheel balancing issue when you get above the national speed limit (i do not ask my staff to break the law speeding) we rebalanced the wheels and the problem was resolved. The air condition was gassed pre sale, this after a period of a week lost some gas resulting in cold air con but not ice cold - again we had the faulty part replaced. At any stage your car was with us we provided you with a nearly new courtesy car (which was delivered to you/collected) to keep inconvienance to a minimum for you. I am afraid Chris when buying a 9 year old car with 100,000 miles sometimes niggles do happen, somethings are unforeseeable but we are happy with the way we treat customers and looking at our 500+ 5 star reviews a lot of people do agree. Thankyou for sharing your views Chris, i'm sorry you do not feel we have provided you with the car or service you hoped for and i hope your new car and the garage that sold the car to you provide you with everything you expect and hope for. Thankyou
A Very professional service, the car i purchased I am very happy with it and the after sevice was second to none .I would highly recommend anyone wishing to but a car give these a try
First class service from start to finish. Went to look at a Skoda Superb seen in Auto trader and from the outset just had a good feeling about the company. No hard sell and they recommended we go out to test the car. I was offered a fair price on mine as part exchange and they agreed to do the cam belt and a few other little things as part of the deal. Transaction went through smoothly. This company isn't like other car dealers I've experienced in the past who's main aim seems to be to get as much out if you as possible through personal loans etc. I would highly recommend Sarah Cox Cars who are professional and have customer service high on their list of priorities

Daniel was great from the telephone call, to the showroom, to the closing. Friendly team, COVID safe and a great experience buying a car from them. I travelled from Hampshire so a 390 mile round trip, but the car was brilliant, as advertised and as told to me. Lovely drive home last night and would happily buy from them again. Thank you Daniel and the team!

Recently Purchased a Volvo XC90 for my daughter, cannot fault the service from start to finish. The volvo was great value for money. My daughter has covered over 2000 miles already without fault.
