Please read before you buy from Sascron… This was the worst experience I have faced with any purchase in my life and it is the only time I have had to write to a business and quote my consumer rights. I purchased a car for my wife from Sascron during Dec 2022, this was a low mileage fairly new vehicle..the best most expensive one they had at the time. The car broke down within an hour of leaving Sascron when I was on the way home, maybe I was just unlucky however…the way in which I was treated and Sacron dealt with this was shocking and disgusting. Advising Sascron of the breakdown immediately I was advised to contact auto protect who they use for their warranties and breakdown and left to it. Auto protect demanded I made payment for the recovery which I was not willing to do and Sacron were closed and unable to help. I was therefore forced to push the car to the side of the road in the rain and leave it in a vulnerable position until I could contact Sacron the next day to seek further assistance. After many many calls to Sascron asking for help they could not get the car recovered and I was faced to use other means myself to have the car recovered. As the car had broken down so quickly and sounded like a very serious problem from the engine. I advised Sascron I had lost trust in the car and would like a full refund. They advised that they would be fixing the car and would not be giving me a refund. I was outraged at this asking why they would not honour a full refund as per the consumer rights act. I was told that under the Sales of goods act they have the opportunity to fix they car! This was untrue and something I believe they must ‘try on’ with their customers to get out of these situations. So be warned the Sales of goods act was abolished in 2015 and replaced with the consumer rights act. They finally backed down on this but stated I must prove that the car was faulty when I brought it. A fairly unreasonable request given I did not even get home in it. Albeit that’s what I had to do, so I had to get the car recovered to a local garage where I had to prove the car was faulty at the time of purchase. Following a diagnostics I was provided with the required report to state that the engine has a catastrophic engine failure and may need replacing. I then had to arrange for the car to be sent back to Sascron along with the report. During this period the car had suffered a parking fine whilst they could not recovery it and I had paid the costs of the diagnostics check from the garage. All of which Sascron were made aware of and this is of course not to mention the time, stress and anxiety it had cause me and my family the week before Christmas. After the car was returned to Sascron it took them 3-4 days to refund the price I paid for the car. I was left to pay the parking fine and the diagnostics check and all the admin costs of changing over vehicles. Cars do break, which i accept yet Customer Service was fully in their control and I saw a very very different side to this business from what i did when they are in sales mode… I would urge others to avoid at all costs.

If I could leave zero stars I would have. They are very pushy when you are buying a car but when you have a problem it takes several calls before they reply. In actual fact I believe they only called me back when I mentioned 'social media'!! I had made my spec requirements very clear to the salesman and he showed me the car that met my spec, He even showed me a printout of all the equipment on the car. I should have checked the car and not taken what the salesmans word as true and correct. My fault for not checking everything. Even the spare key didn't work and the service history was not in the car.... I was told again it was my fault for not checking. I wish I had checked everything. Therefore buyers BEWARE..... Please check EVERYTHING they say is on the car, and read and check any contract before you sign on the dotted line!! Remember their are many other reputable dealers out there.

Bought a car with a serious fault (which I pointed out very quickly). No after sales customer service & they even tried to intimidate me when I asked them to fix it. Now they won’t take my calls. Horrible company to deal with, you have been warned.

Do yourself a favour and buy elsewhere! Bought a car from this garage back in February and it was and is still the biggest headache I have ever come accross in my life. Please remember that you are not buying a £20 toaster that you can replace for another one, but you are making a big financial investment when you are buying a car so you want to ensure you are buying a vehicle from a trustworthy and approved dealer which will give you far more protection than this dodgy garage! This garage isn’t even registered with The Motor Ombudsman which helps you resolve any disputes with garages should you come accross any issues https://www.themotorombudsman.org/consumers , please check for yourself you can check if this garage is registered with them on their website. Why would they reguster with them if they do not trade in line with the regulations in place to protect us the consumers. With regards to my experience, while you are in this garage they will not let you buy a vehicle unless you buy the warranty they are selling. Please be aware that this is illegal as regulated products such as the warranty their sell should not be mandarory and forced into people to buy! Secondly they will charge you £199 for a 180 point check to ensure the vehicle is in good order before you buy it surely they should be doing this (not). Anyway, with regards to the car and depite their “thorough” 180 point check that they don’t do but charge you for it anyway, I expericed the below in the first 0 to 6 months: - Timechain valve had to be replaced, vehicle broke down on the motorway engine light came on - Cruise control not working - Car sold to me with nail on tyre, this was diagnosed by an independent company and they found rust on the puncture which suggested that the nail had been there from purchase - Issues with the Antenna on the radio system - Car shakes when the air conditioning is on - Driver side window buttons not working - Car sold spare tyre cannister out of date - Upper break LED light not working - AND NOW THE CAR WON’T EVEN START UP AND IT HAS BEEN SAT ON MY DRIVE FOR 2 MONTHS Contacted Sascron with the issues as I wanted to give the car back they rejected it and told me to go though the warranty which doesn’t cover all the costs for repair. I have been called a liar, asked how old I am when I said that I was forced to buy the warranty by a so called Callum who was really unhelpful and a really rude lady by the name of Michaela! Spoke to some guy on the phone from Sascron who offered an exchange for the car for another one for the market value of the car rather than what I paid! What an absolute scam, so I paid 10k for a faulty car and they would probably only offered me 6k! I let you be the judge of that. Luckily I purchased this vehicle on finance and im liaising with the finance company and the financial ombudsman who are looking of ways to resolve my complaint ! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DODGY DEALERSHIP AND BUY YOUR CAR FROM AN APPROVED DEALER SO YOU DONT END UP WITH A CAR THAT DOESN’T WORK IN YOUR DRIVE. They will most likely try and defend themselves with lies under my review but do your self a favour and don’t listen to them!

Sascron carssupermsrket Staff kept pushing for options to purchase along with car that did not make any sense To verify a used car they charge £199 Without this car has not undergone basic checks! Bizarre! Tried to Force me to pay a deposit which although they said was refundable but also added that if nothing wrong with the car I would have to buy the car else deposit not refundable
Don’t buy anything here! Very unreliable. Bought a Kia Niro and after a week it turns out the car has big issues that the insurance we bought from Sacron is reluctant to cover so we are forced to bring the car to a Kia Branch. Steven, the guy that we made the deal with, never answer our messages/emails nor called us back. He promised us a second key that we never received. Customer service is a nightmare. As soon as they got the money from us, never helped us at all!

Great customer service and friendliness I highly recommend!
ZERO STARS - Sold faulty car to vulnerable person with disabilities. I purchased a Vauxhall Insignia (2017) from Sascron - Reading on 04/08/2021. Salesman assigned to me was – Dale. First of all, the car was sold to me with two keys and one set of the key was still with the previous keeper, and Dale promised to have this sent to me via Royal Mail. After a few days, I started to follow up on the spare key, and I was constantly given the ‘run around’ by Dale. Almost 3 weeks of chasing, I was fed up and suddenly Dale is now ready to send the spare key – but wait, there’s a catch; Dale now cannot post the key out and wants me to send him a prepaid special delivery box to get my key delivered. After sending the prepaid box to Sascron, I had to wait nearly two weeks before they could even send it out. Furthermore, roughly two weeks into ownership, my brakes started to emit loud squealing/grinding noise. I immediately pulled over and inspected the brakes, which shows both pads were below the minimum. Dale promised the vehicle has had a multi-point check and how ‘Sascron never cheaps out’ when it comes to customer safety. However, Sascron didn’t seem to bother with safety in my case. When I reported this to Sascron (less than 30 days into ownership), they kept telling me to take it to Kwik Fit and use the warranty. Never have I heard warranty companies covering wear and tear components, but Dale insisted that the warranty covers brakes. I contacted Kwik Fit only to be laughed at. My brakes are still making a loud squeal and Sascron are doing nothing to help. I was also told that my car was serviced by Sascron, yet I was given no paperwork to back this. On 10/09/2021 I had to make an emergency stop due to engine started to overheat. Breakdown serviced arrived and upon checking the vehicle, I was told that the radiator was empty - I was gobsmacked! Dale promised vehicle being fully serviced, along with all fluids being topped up – another lie. So to sum up –Brakes are not working properly. No heating due to radiator issues and with winter around the corner, my young children and myself do not feel safe travelling in this car which cost me more than £10,000 Every time I call, I’m constantly being told the same thing – “service manager is off”, “someone will call you back in 24 hours” , “Dale is busy”, “Manager is not in”. By far the worst car dealer I have ever dealt with. I will be lodging a formal complaint shortly, and escalating this matter to the relevant bodies. With irritation and frustration, Aminur Rahman

I have never had such an uncomfortable experience ever when buying a used car! I put a £500 deposit on a red Vauxhall Insignia GSi and I noticed that the car didn't have the correct head lights fitted (IntelliLux LED Matrix but had the cheaper halogen unit's). I highlighted the issue to ------who agreed to replace them for the corrects headlights before I picked up the car. Well this is where the customer service ended and I received no more contract from Sascron after many emails and calls by myself. Taking into account that the red Insignia GSi has a cheap private plate on it and the headlights have been changed I believe someone is trying to hide a frontal accident at some point! which hasn't been recorded in the cars history on the old plate ( the car is now back up for sale with Sascron). I'm now trying to recover my £500 deposit from Sascron! with no replies to my calls or emails I'm sure its going to be a long arduous process!!!!! So my advice is: avoid at all cost!!!!!!!!!!

A four year old car would normally come with a spare key. If it didn't, you'd expect the customer to be told during the buying process, not have to ask on collection. And then to compound it, refuse to even contribute towards the cost of a replacement. I'd recommend you either check EVERY SINGLE detail and get confirmation in writing before you part with your cash, or go elsewhere. I'd recommend elsewhere, personally.
