Dear Mr Turner, I am very surprised to read the online review regarding the ASX purchased last month on all points noted, and additionally disappointed that you have not contacted me directly. The vehicle was inspected by yourself at least twice prior to purchase, and had 3 new tyres prior to release following an inspection at Savoy Autocentres, hence the surprise at the comment regarding rear tyres. In addition, the ASX was serviced on the 5th October 2017, of which you were aware of at time of negotiation and at no point was a new oil/filter requested as you were happy with the history, of which as you know the vehicle came with full service history. I was not aware there was any issue at paintwork level, and if this is the case then I would suspect it was in a place not visible through a standard review, and for this I can only apologise. The ASX is 8 years old and will pick up paint corrosion etc over time, with standard remedial action, where minor, being a touch up and seal. If you require some touch up, please contact me directly on 01724 854482 and I am sure this can be supplied. I wish you well with the ASX, of which was and is a very, very nice example Mr Turner. Thanks and regards, Shaun

In review to your response shaun the asx Only had 2 new front tyers fitted and back ones are only just leagle I only wish I had left car there as you was not in on that day and it had been snowing and was very cold so could not inspect propley
Save on used cars is the worst garage I have ever bought a car from in my life will never be returning. Absolutely Disgusting, saying they will ring back yet never do. Car comes with 1 month warranty yet when something breaks they will ring you when your warranty ends so there is nothing you can do about it. Words cannot even put how disgusting this garage is. Shame you can't give a 0 star rating.

Dear Sir/Madam, We have noted your review and whilst extremely disappointed as we aim to provide a first class service, I am concerned at the lack of detail supplied in the review. The review includes no information provided as to the vehicle in question, the issue you have had or are having, ownership timeline or your name, so that we may drill down as to the vehicle of note and contact you to discuss further. This information really is vital to both verify the authenticity of the review, but also so that we can address in the correct manner. We sell around 130 units per month, with many repeat buyers and many happy customers, however as we are human, we do not always get it right; and in these instances we try our very best within the realms of good business practise to rectify such matters, where feasible. To this end, can you please email me at saveonusedcars.co.uk@gmail.com with the full breakdown of your issue so we may review accordingly and discuss with you in person. Alternatively call me on 01724 854482, I will be in the office from 10am Monday. Please ensure in both instances that you ask for myself, Shaun, as I head up our aftersales and we shall discuss together and put in place remedial action where required. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks and regards, Shaun
Bought Audi A4 only 2 months mot went back and Shaun the after sales guy had it booked straight in for an mot no questions asked, after that reported that the radio wasn’t working all the time took it back for them to try and fix it they couldn’t so they ordered a brand new one and fitted it no problem it was satnav/ Bluetooth/ dvd. There aftersales are brilliant I would recommend buying a car from them very friendly bunch .

AVOID SAVE ON USED CARS AT ALL COSTS!!!! It wouldn’t let me leave zero stars, so I had to leave 1 star!! Please do not waste your time, effort or money going to this car dealership, absolutely criminal how we were treated. Sold us a BMW X5 with numerous faults inc the worst fault you can have, TRANS FAILSAFE WARNING!! Car was collected and we had to go and collect (1 hours drive) telling us it was now all clear of faults, the same failure happened within a day of return, the attitude of showroom staff is utterly appalling, David in particular is laughable, stating it was down to us to recoup our own money on additional parts spent and new tyres, the front tyres on the car at point of sale were below legal limit (having just been mot’d) also down to us to pay insurance cancellation fees and tax cancellation fees, we are however due to receive the original purchase price back but are now hundreds out of pocket for the privilege of buying a car that was sold with known faults. This dealership is absolutely shocking, please think twice before you part with your hard earned money. I can assure you that you will regret if you by from here.

Dear Jon, I am sorry to see your review of our business, however I am not surprised and whilst I empathise with your position I do believe we need to add some clarity here. From the moment I we were notified of a fault or concern on the 53 plate X5, we opened up immediate discussions with yourself to have remedied and never once stated we would not resolve any and all issues. It is true that we had the vehicle back, of which the lock on the door was repaired, however the TRANS FAILSAFE WARNING, was not on the vehicle, nor has it ever been on whilst in our possession. In addition, the X5 was scanned and no fault codes were found, nor historical codes present Jon, hence why no further remedial action was implemented. Unfortunately you can only remedy what is showing as needing to be Jon, of which I know you will appreciate and understand. In addition, the X5, came with a years warranty at gearbox level from a respected Auto Transmission company in Doncaster, of which we supplied to you and stated should there be any fault at this level, then it would be rectified. If the TRANS FAILSAFE WARNING light was on Jon, then we would have gladly taken to S&D and had rectified under warranty. However the fact is that no warning message or sign was on, and no issues were found at gearing and drive level to indicate there was an issue. That said, I will re-iterate that said during our conversations Jon, and that is that any fault that was found, would be remedied however you had to understand that we could not fix that which was not showing. I may add here Jon, that we also collected the vehicle from yourself to carry out remedial work to limit the disruption to yourself, something most dealerships would not have entertained. All our vehicles are MOT'd via 3rd Parties, and the tyres were road legal, however I have just reviewed the MOT history and based on this we should have been informed regarding the near side front tyre and had this replaced prior to release. Apologies on this front Jon. We agreed to a full refund on the purchased price Jon, and you will receive your tax back. However the tyres were fitted on the morning you had already confirmed to ourselves that you were returning to ourselves. As such, we did state we would not pay for the tyres as you had fitted knowing full well you were retuning the vehicle for a full refund. I am genuinely sorry that you have not had a good experience, however I do wholeheartedly believe that we carried out all repairs that were required, and committed to you that should there be any issues then we would tackle them. Unfortunately this was not enough for you in this instance and you enacted your right to return the vehicle, of which we accepted even though no faults showing on the X5 at said time, nor at time of diagnostic. I wish you well for the future Jon, and success in finding a vehicle that you will enjoy. Thanks and regards, Shaun
Would have given them 3 and half stars, and 4 if Chris had responded. Because he didn't I logged in with Trading Standards straight away. Next day I spoke to Shaun and told him I was getting it assessed. Went to 3 garages, rang and told him the cost. Got work done at MY garage who rang Shaun, who paid over the phone. No problem.Agreed high mileage car but some people expect too much. Get your expectations right, more mile less cost , but will need attention somewhere. Go in with your eyes open.

Bought a vectra (which, as a car I'm very happy with) however upon arrival home I found a nice key scratch down one door, which had been hidden with wax when I was looking around the car and also the tailgate won't open and it will cost 500+ to fix according to a friend of mine who works for vauxhall. I was going to see what they're going to do about it but upon reading some of these reviews it seems I will just get fobbed off. Save on used cars are nice friendly people but don't be drawn in by that.
Shaun Mullen from Save On Used Cars in response to Shocking!
Dear Craig, I have read through you review, albeit late as I have only just been made aware of this website, and am very disappointed that you decided to post a review about what we wouldn't do, without approaching us to see what we would do. In my years within the industry, I always like to see what people will do in person, rather than make an assumption that is groundless. This way we ask the question and get the response, then make an informed decision. I noted you like the car, which I am very pleased about, however a "quote" of a boot latch/mechanism from Vauxhall at £500 really does not stack up, and is approx £350+ above the expected remedial cost,. In addition, you would not usually approach a main dealer for a repair on a vehicle no longer in production. I am sure, if you had contacted us immediately, then rectification work could have been applied as we certainly would not have ignored this type of failure within your warranty period. Can I ask that next time, whomever you purchase from, if you have a problem, open up a line of dialogue so that they have the opportunity to act rather than assume and then provide negative feedback in an open forum. Thanks and regards, Shaun
No issues at all! I purchased a BMW in February and I am very happy with it. It was nice and clean and in good condition and the price was excellent. The dealers were really helpful, friendly and trusting. They were happy to let me test drive the car without a member of staff. I would certainly recommend.

Bought a vehicle priced at £12k from Save on Used Cars, travelled 200 to collect it and all seemed ok, had a flat tyre a week later and found there was no spare on the vehicle and I'd discovered that the wrong tyres had been fitted to it, should of had commercial rated tyres due to size of the vehicle, I had several conversations with the dealer but just felt I was getting fobbed off as they wouldn't do anything about it because the car was at a knock down price and it was almost a trade price. I now know why!!!! If you buy a car from here check everything twice over even the minor details like tyre sizes as they seem to overlook a lot of things.
I have just got my 5th car from Save on used cars and I always find Dave and his sale staff very good and very helpful. They go out of their way to help you and give the best deal they can. I had a problem in the past and Dave resolved it for me and I was and still am very happy wish them all the best regards Don Crossley. P.S MY Skoda yeti I just got is a fine sample of good used cars they sell.
