I had been warned that Saxton have terrible after sale care but I didn’t expect to have issues even viewing the car! A month ago I paid a holding deposit on a £26k car until I could get to the showroom to view it. Despite advising our expected arrival time days in advance, we waited half an hour before anyone even acknowledged our presence. The salesman brought the car round then walked off with the keys while her served other potential customers. We had to ask for a spec list for the car, which was eventually printed out on a scruffy A4 sheet. After a test drive & experiencing Saxtons godawful customer service first hand, we decided not to buy the car. We explained why and asked for a refund of our deposit to which the salesman agreed. A month later we still await a refund, and have had to take legal action. Do not give this company your time or money, it will cost you considerably in both!

I bought my third car, a 2014 Range Rover 4.4 Autobiography from Saxtons last September, and, as on the two previous occasions, our experience was generally favourable. On each occasion the vehicles were prepared to a very high standard. I have also purchased RRs from main dealers and Saxton compare favourably. The advantage of using this dealership is the enormous choice available compared with anywhere else. My only regret is that, in my experience, to resolve any issues with the RAC warranty, it has been necessary to return the car to Saxtons as the local main dealership didn't want to know. Unfortunatel we live in Cardiff, 220 miles away! Nevertheless, after THREE trips the car is now fine.

He provided us with an excellent service and it was a pleasure buying our car from him. IMPECCABLE SERVICE!!!!
By far the worst company I have EVER dealt with! Never again will I go anywhere near them, and would recommend that everyone else does the same. Went in to see a GLE about 6 weeks ago now, and fell in love and put a £1000 deposit down to secure it whilst the finance was put in place. The guys were very helpful and friendly, so I can't fault them on that. However, due to us trying to get the car via our new limited company, the finance got rejected as it was a significant amount each month cost wise. So we requested our refund of our £1000 deposit. We were told that of course that would happen, so we waited for our refund. A week passed, nothing. So I phoned and emailed a number of times. My emails were ignored totally, and the calls I made were fobbed off. I asked to speak to various people in charge, and I was told on many many occasions I would receive calls back. These were suppose to be from the head of finance & various managers. I finally received an email back after a couple of weeks of desperately trying, and was told that the refund was being processed. More lies, as I had already been told this weeks before. Again, another couple of weeks passed. In this time, again trying desperately to get hold of someone, anyone, to talk too! After weeks of being totally ignored and lied to and given the runaround, I had no choice but to go to my bank. I filed a case with them at the Retail Disputes team, and let them handle the case. The stress of trying to get the money back that was rightfully mine was too much. So I let the bank deal with it for me, as it seemed that they had no intentions what so ever to ever return my money! Luckily, after about 8 days, the bank returned the money to me on Saxtons behalf, and took over the case themselves. If it hadn't of been for my bank dealing with this, I am 100% confident I still wouldn't have my money back today. More lies would have been told & more emails and calls would have been ignored. On another note, we went to another dealership who managed to get us finance no issues! The place we got our new company car from tried very hard for us, and it got approved even with us as a new limited company! Take my advice, and steer well clear of this company. They are happy to take your money from you, but not as willing to return it!

My experience of Saxon 4x4 was not good. We was asked to collect car at 3pm, my wife and 2 year old son plus myself waited until 7.45pm until our car was ready. There was people there even longer. On bill of sale they had added £1500 of extras, when I asked salesman what these were. He replied he did not know. How poor!!!!!!! Now we have had problems with car they do not want to know, just putting us onto the RAC cover which is not worth paper it is written on. Would not buy a car from this garage again or recommend to anyone. Andy.

I had a similar experience. I drove 200 miles after finding the car on auto-trader and was told it was ready and clean etc. Disappointed to find it dirty with scuffs and marks and had second thoughts about the purchase. They agreed it was below standard and asked if it would make a difference to me if i got the car cleaned myself and send them the bill. i agreed, but after the sale they had a change of heart and thought the price i had been quoted was excessive and would only pay half. I rang about 15 times, left messages, sent emails, took photos of the car, they basically just ignored me for a month!! before finally agreeing to pay half! Do not accept any pre-sales agreements verbally, no matter how small an issue i would get it in writing or go somewhere else. They will just ignore you. On one phone-call they said - ' yes, but did you get that in writing'!!!!
This was the worst experience I have ever had buying a car (3 year old Range Rover Vogue). The salesperson miss-represented the vehicle condition. I refused to pick the car up because of the amount of problems. There were chips on several body panels, a dent in the rear bumper, front tyres illegal, tracking totally off, rear parcel shelf missing. The mileage was also several thousand miles higher than advertised. Half the problems were not fixed as promised. The salesperson would never return a call and the management were little better. The experience could not have been worse. Do not use Saxon 4x4 if you want any kind of integrity of customer service.
Purchased a Land Rover Discovery in November 2016 from Saxon 4x4, listened to all the pre sales promises, very different story once paid, vehicle was collected with paintwork damage, was told spare key will follow, Meridian sound system turned out to be a basic sound system, the boot dampers were weak and the tail gate hit my daughter on the head, I told all this to Cliff, we travelled miles for car, Cliff said on collection that he cant understand why the damaged paintwork was not done. After emails and constant calling, they don't want to know now, Cliff sounded honest but these are the people that give car dealers a bad name. My advice is not to collect the car if what the salesman said is not provided. Cliff said get the repairs done and send me the bill, I asked him to confirm by email which he never did and ignored all calls thereafter. When I first enquired about the car, I was told 2 keys are with the car, when I collected car, was told the spare key will be posted to me, I had no reason to doubt it because I purchased a BMW 520D from a Dealer in Nottingham for my daughter in law and the same situation arose, within 2 weeks BMW posted me the second key. I even offered to pay for the paintwork just post me the second key as promised but they are not interested now, as the money is in their bank. Cliff said make an appointment with Olivia to bring the car back and we will do all the work and sort the key out, I agreed but the workshop manager said he can't get me the key because Cliff has not authorised it, I have been going around in circles and getting angrier. Very disappointed but do they care? not in my eyes, shame is, I am in the trade and run a 5-star business and make sure no customer is ever left disappointed even if it means me losing a few quid, difference is, its my company, where as cliff is just the sales man who is only interested in sales commissions and not company name, Perhaps the company owners can come forward to solve my issue and sort all that was promised. Its been 6 months now and have finally realized that I have been duped and they wont fulfil the promise, so I have had to write this review to assist others in making the right decisions. I will now have no option but to take this matter up legally.

Not the best service. I bought a Mercedes Benz in August, the car hadn't been polished properly and there was a tear in one of the seats. The price of the car was average. The dealers were knowledgeable about the cars but the service could have been better. I wouldn't recommend and in future I will use a main dealer.
