This was the worst experience I have ever had buying a car (3 year old Range Rover Vogue). The salesperson miss-represented the vehicle condition. I refused to pick the car up because of the amount of problems. There were chips on several body panels, a dent in the rear bumper, front tyres illegal, tracking totally off, rear parcel shelf missing. The mileage was also several thousand miles higher than advertised. Half the problems were not fixed as promised. The salesperson would never return a call and the management were little better. The experience could not have been worse. Do not use Saxon 4x4 if you want any kind of integrity of customer service.

Purchased a Land Rover Discovery in November 2016 from Saxon 4x4, listened to all the pre sales promises, very different story once paid, vehicle was collected with paintwork damage, was told spare key will follow, Meridian sound system turned out to be a basic sound system, the boot dampers were weak and the tail gate hit my daughter on the head, I told all this to Cliff, we travelled miles for car, Cliff said on collection that he cant understand why the damaged paintwork was not done. After emails and constant calling, they don't want to know now, Cliff sounded honest but these are the people that give car dealers a bad name. My advice is not to collect the car if what the salesman said is not provided. Cliff said get the repairs done and send me the bill, I asked him to confirm by email which he never did and ignored all calls thereafter. When I first enquired about the car, I was told 2 keys are with the car, when I collected car, was told the spare key will be posted to me, I had no reason to doubt it because I purchased a BMW 520D from a Dealer in Nottingham for my daughter in law and the same situation arose, within 2 weeks BMW posted me the second key. I even offered to pay for the paintwork just post me the second key as promised but they are not interested now, as the money is in their bank. Cliff said make an appointment with Olivia to bring the car back and we will do all the work and sort the key out, I agreed but the workshop manager said he can't get me the key because Cliff has not authorised it, I have been going around in circles and getting angrier. Very disappointed but do they care? not in my eyes, shame is, I am in the trade and run a 5-star business and make sure no customer is ever left disappointed even if it means me losing a few quid, difference is, its my company, where as cliff is just the sales man who is only interested in sales commissions and not company name, Perhaps the company owners can come forward to solve my issue and sort all that was promised. Its been 6 months now and have finally realized that I have been duped and they wont fulfil the promise, so I have had to write this review to assist others in making the right decisions. I will now have no option but to take this matter up legally.

I had a similar experience. Drive 200 miles after finding the car on auto-trader and was told it was ready and clean etc. Disappointed to find it dirty with scuffs and marks and had second thoughts about the purchase. They agreed it was below standard and asked if it would make a difference to me if i got the car cleaned myself and send them the bill. i agreed, but after the sale they had a change of heart and thought the price i had been quoted was excessive and would only pay half. I rang about 15 times, left messages, send emails, they basically just ignored me for a month!! before finally agreeing to pay half! Do not accept any pre-sales agreements verbally, no matter how small an issue i would get it in writing or go somewhere else. They will just ignore you. On one call they said - ' yes, but did you get that in writing'!!!!

Not the best service. I bought a Mercedes Benz in August, the car hadn't been polished properly and there was a tear in one of the seats. The price of the car was average. The dealers were knowledgeable about the cars but the service could have been better. I wouldn't recommend and in future I will use a main dealer.

I purchased an Audi Q5 from here back in July. It was really nice and clean and in good condition and I have had no major issues with it. The dealers were very helpful and friendly and I am happy with the value for money. I would recommend.

I bought a Range Rover back in June. The staff were very helpful and the car was very clean and just as it was described online. There has been an issue with the car but after a couple of attempts over a couple of weeks they got it sorted. I would recommend this dealership to my friends and family.

Not very helpful really. The car I bought had 7 problems, 6 of which were not covered by the warranty so I have had to get them sorted myself... luckily nothing disastrous apart from the fuel gage being broken which is potentially dangerous. They are poor at getting back to you when you contact them as well. I wouldn't recommend this garage.

What an awful awful experience. Saxtons ignored you once they had your money. They eventually agreed to fix a snagging list of problems. We moved to Hong Kong and when we came back a Land Rover dealer confirmed the tyre pressure gage had been switched off as opposed to fixing the problem. This is both dangerous and cost be considerable money to fix problems associated with driving around with a flat tyre. Customer Services then referred to the Finance Director who confirmed the garage would not do something like this. Naturally the Finance Director being the obvious first point of call. Please tell all your family and friend - do not use this company. Their practices are dangerous, their cars represent bad value for money and there customer service is appalling.

Stay away from this unprofessional outfit. Everything was bad from beginning to end culminating in a 5 hour handover on delivery day as so many things were wrong with the vehicle. All they care about at Saxton is how many cars they can sell per month. There is NO customer service at all and once you have paid your deposit then you are VERY quickly forgotten about. I would suggest looking at other dealers if you want any kind of customer service at all. Awful experience that i wont be repeating there again!!!

Although the purchase of the vehicle went fine and easy the aftersales and overall treatment once they had the money and the car was handed over is just terrible. I have been chasing them for several months now on the service history booklet that was suppose to be provided with the vehicle upon collection and each time they blame the post of loosing it or tell me that the dealer is not helping them with it. As a garage that sell so many Range Rovers I find it strange that they have trouble getting the paperwork in order. On top of that is nobody inclined to even bother to get back to you or provide an update. Calls remain unanswered and emails are ignored. I know 2 friend who purchased a vehicle just around the time I did and they had the same issues. Eager to take your money, terrible to provide the service and support you expect when spending tens of thousands of pounds with them. I will never buy from them again and recommend anybody who is thinking about purchasing a 4x4 / range rover to go to a dealer or another garage as after 4 months of trying to get whats sold & promised over and over I am still ignored and no further then when I left the garage after the pickup of the vehicle.
