Firstly i was impressed with service and deal as normal from any experience from a car dealer. Had my car a total of one month and the radiator went causing the water pump to go. Was under warranty so no issues getting that sorted apart from they held on to the car for 3 days which caused a bit of a problem for me to get to work. After another two months a knocking was coming when breaking and took it back to them to no avail they said they would send it to a specialist... changes the shocks on the front! Scott baileys mechanics couldn't do this! 🤔 They didn't have a clue to what it was.... long story short after 5/6 visits to get to the bottom of it I start to get the palm off and so I go down my own route. Straight to finance company and ombudsman. After not me but finance company pay for independent engineer to assess the vehicle, guy comes out I only describe the problem and boom he had it. Takes it a spin and comes back to say not only is this the problem but has been in a bump and things were held together with cable ties! This is a 3.0 lrt car I had for myself so not the safest method to hold thing together on! Also it was not disclosed at point of sale when asked the finance company are informed of this and then proceed to the point the finance company take full responsibility on behalf of their business. Car has been picked up and monies given back to me, as in the word of the finance people "we no longer have dealings with them (Scott Baillie) and will not be in the future" Must say I was happy with the result as I refused to pay for a reg plate to get their name of my car at the time! I just had a horrible time through my experience with them and at the end of the day another business took the shortfall. Don't like seeing anyone lose out even if it is a large finance company but I sure wasn't listening to their stories anymore so took it my way. Never again and will advise anyone I know to stay clear.

Sorry to sound rude but what finance company have you used. Were getting no where with them. We split car payment between cash and finance.
Excellent customer service from Michael and Joe who ensured that my car sale to them went smoothly and was paid swiftly. Would recommend.
Recently purchased my Renault Grande Scenic from Scott Baillie for the family and I must say, I have nerver had such a great customer services from a car dealership and specifically the experience I have had so far from Michael of scott Baillie cars Tollcross. To be honest, I was a bit sceptical about buying from such dealerships however, so far, i have not at all witnessed any of the bad experiences I had heard and read about such places, thanks to Scott Baillie cars. In Micheals own words 'i dont sell bad cars' . As far as i am concerned, he truely did not sell me a bad car. Right from the day of purchase, I have had nothing but amazing customer service. Was so impressed that I have recommended friends. I recently passed by the Scott Baillie tollcross showroom with a friend. To my surprise, Michael comes out of the office, recognises me and the car he sold me in the past, ask how I am getting on with the car and then spontaneosly decides to sort very minor problems I had spotted, free of charge and is willing to help with any future issues. Excellent customer services. I love my car. Thanks Scott Baillie and thanks Michael.

I purchased my first car after passing my test with Scott Baillie and I've been left out of pocket, out of time and left with a vehicle that's parked up awaiting a rejection claim on the finance. The car had 59k advertised on the Scott Baillie website and 71k on clock when I got to the garage. Me being naive as it was my first time purchasing a car thought all garages must do this. I've recently found this is illegal and have sent screenshots of the advert with the illegal mileage to the relevant Consumer Rights organisations. The car faults in the 4 months I've had the vehicle include: - Brakes wore down to the metal - Front bearing - Coolant Fan - Oil leak - Hole in the exhaust - Play in the steering rack - Front lights needed replaced twice - Hinge on passenger door broken - No rear passenger door handle on the inside Scott Baillie took the car back to fix the coolant fan and the bearing as these were the only two problems that I knew were needing fixed due to my inexperience on car problems. This was when I found out the brakes were down to the metal. The Scott Ballie mechanic who was suppose to fix the bearing and the coolant fan told me the brakes were replaced as the car was dangerous and shouldn't of been on the road with the lack of brakes available. This was one month after purchasing the car. The coolant fan wasn't fixed and the bearing also came up as faulty in an MOT 2/3 months after it was supposed to be fixed. I was also charged for parts from the Scott Baillie mechanic for new brakes and a bearing one month after I purchased the car which I now know I shouldn't have paid as they were liable to fix the car. When the car was ready for an MOT 4 months after receiving it from Scott Ballie I contacted them as the coolant fan was still broken. I was informed where to take the car for an MOT and told by Scott Ballie not to tell them about the coolant fan issue. After doing this the car showed up 7 advisories including an oil leak, play in the steering rack, the bearing I paid for parts was still showing as a fault, a hole in the exhaust and a few others. I contacted Scott Baillie and they took the car back to fix these issues. I was informed it would take up to two weeks for my car to be returned and to come into Scott Ballie for a courtesy car. After making over 100 mile journey to their office in Glasgow I was informed by Michael I wasn't getting a courtesy vehicle. The 2 week time frame was reduced and I received my car back after 6 days. When the vehicle was returned, 10 minutes into the journey home the car wouldn't go into gear and I almost ran into the back of another vehicle due to this issue. I contacted Scott Ballie as I had just left their forecourt and I was told they were not taking any liability anymore with the car and would only deal with me through the finance company. The car was supposed to come with a 128 AA mechanical check, but with all the faults so far and many more I probably don't know about due to my inexperience with cars then I doubt very much this car was inspected pre purchase. I've also read some of the reviews on this site and other sites which I'm now wishing I did before dealing with Scott Ballie, as there is a lot of unhappy customers who have suffered the same as me. I can advise others on my issues in the hope someone who reads this doesn't get screwed over like myself.

How do you reject the car through finance? I'm being told I can't but I paid cash and the rest finance. Thanks.
I bought my skoda vrs of scott baillie, it had a problem with the turbo and brakes. Michael McDonald as promised told me when I bought the car that the warranty would fix any issues. Man of his word. He took the car back and had it fixed next day.
Ii BOUGHT A VEHICLE FROM THEM WHICH WAS RETURNED TO THEM DAY AFTER WITH SEVERAL FAULTS . SAID IT WAS REPAIRED BUT STILL FAULTY THE CAR WAS RETURNED TO THEM 8 TIMES EACH TIME JUST TURNING THE ESP LIGHT OFF. GOT NOWHERE WITH THEM ,ACTUALLY GOT THE JUDGE IN THE MAIL TO WRITE TO THEM WHICH THEY IGNORED .WAS ADVISED TO TAKE THEM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT BUT DUE TO MY ILL HEALTH COULD NOT BE BOTHERED WITH AGRO.PLEASE DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY THEY ARE VERY NICE TO YOU WHEN YOU HAND OVER YOUR MONEY AFTERWARDS THEY PASS THE BUCK.SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES AS I ..HAD TO SCRAP THE CAR 1 YEAR AFTER BUYING IT I SPENT NEARLY 1000 ON IT AND WHEN I TRIED TO RENIEW THE MOT. IT WAS ABOLISHED DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF THINGS WRONG WITH IT I NOW HAVE NO MONEY LEFT AND NO CAR THANKS TO THEM.
Michael McLean from Scott Baillie Cars Tollcross in response to SANDRA
This review has absolutely no merit whatsoever. In 14 years in trading we have never sold anybody called Sandra a vehicle (I've searched our stockbook twice) nor has any customer ever returned any vehicle 8 times for repair. Please either provide proof of such a purchase and evidence of such events or please do the right thing and remove this fake review. Honest companies such as ours who work hard and operate within the guidelines of the law find the job of a car dealer hard enough without having to deal with made up nonsense like this. Regards Michael McLean Director Scott Baillie Cars Ltd
Bought car last week, very pleased with their service (and the car) As a business man myself, you can tell when you walk through the gates, that they are on the ball, all cars presented clean and shining and attention to detail. Would use this Company again.
Bought my new BMW 1 series after trading in my Mazda 6, which I also bought from Scott Baillies a couple years ago. Always found the staff to be so helpful. The saleman helped me sort out my finance for my new car really quickly and made it a very easy process for me. I would recommend Scott Baillies to anyone, and already recommend them to my family and friends.
Would not hesitate to recommend to my family and friends. So pleased with my beautiful car.A cousin who has bought his cars from them for years came with me,helped me choose between 3 cars I really liked, and I am now the proud owner of a Mercedes-Benz CLS320.I was not rushed or pressured by the salesman,Michael. He was helpful, informative and really nice to talk to.
I bought a car from these guys with a brand new mot certificate, but the car had at least mot failure faults on it, lights not working, window washers not working, no rear wiper blade and it also needed a wheel bearing. All the faults were rectified to be fair but it's still quite worrying to think you could be buying and old death trap before finding the faults yourself. They also took a month to pay off the outstanding finance of my trade in car which then put my finance agreement into default and a black mark on my credit file as a result, 5 phone calls from me and the finance company collection team finally got the issue sorted. I personally wouldn't recommend this dealership which I'm a bit gutted about as the salesman come across as nice guys.
