Purchased a Citroen DS3 from SD Automotive back in December, They made the process nice and simple throughout. The car was well presented in fantastic condition and they were able to answer all the questions I had. Top Service from James and Dean, would definitely recommend!

Shocking aftercare, picked my BMW up at the end of a working day. When I arrived home, over an hour later, I realised that both rear lights were loose. I called the garage first thing the following morning to be told they suspected the car had been tampered with overnight! I spoke to Mark, who was particularly unpleasant and not at all helpful, who said they wouldn’t take responsibility! He went on to accuse me of causing the damage myself?! After days of relentlessly chasing this up I managed to talk to Claire (one of the owners) who agreed for the car to be looked at. This still took a further 2 trips, approx 3 hours each with a newborn baby and a days leave from work, for the 15 minute replacement to be completed as they refused to resolve the matter immediately, even with a video of the issue. They were aware we had a newborn and that we didn’t want to keep travelling down unnecessarily. What should have been a good experience, was very unpleasant and very stressful, although it is now resolved and we love the car, they made the experience unnecessarily painful.

We have done everything we can to try and resolve this issue for you. As you can appreciate we have to have the workshop verify the issue and give us there opinions. We had the photos and video which we had a bodyshop look at to determine what may have happened. We booked it into a local garage and they were suspect about what had happened as I spoke to them. So as a gesture I agreed to have the lights replaced at no cost to yourself. As your vehicle is a Bmw we had to order the parts and the garage booked you in at the next convenient time agreed with yourself. If you were that upset with the service why not leave your review before hand instead of after we have fixed your car. We have always tried to work with customers who have issues and as you live a distance away it does state on the handover form that the vehicle must be returned to us for rectification which you gladly signed on the day of picking it up.
This place is great and staff are very helpful, would highly recommend to get your next car from these guys, the valeting is outstanding too
Not a good experience at all in terms of after sales. The car I purchased had a BMW front spoiler which came loose whilst I was driving it home. It snapped after coming lose in the wind. I rang SD Auto to tell them and David (salesperson) kindly said he would sort any cost caused by the spoiler. He asked me to take it to a local body shop to get quote, which I did. I rang back and then spoke to the General Manager (Simon) who contradicted him Salesperson and said it was not his responsibility to sort. The 30 day warranty (he pointed out) does not include bodywork). The cost of the repair is £1,100, and now I don’t have a car to drive with the spoiler hanging off. I would never go back after my experience and never recommend. It’s one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Avoid this dealer!

Good afternoon , We are sorry that you are not satisfied with our aftersales service. The front spoiler you quote as coming loose on the way home due to the wind, is not at all likely, given that the spoiler is bonded and screwed on. This is the first instance we have had this situation where a spoiler has come loose due to the wind. After careful analysis of the 5 photographs you provided to ourselves and the professional bodyshop, who fitted the front spoiler, it is clearly obvious that something other than the "wind" has damaged the front spoiler. Yes you were asked to get a quote from the bodyshop by one of our sales team, this was before it was brought to my attention and i intervened for photographic evidence of the damage that you kindly sent over. The quote from the bodyshop is in our experience very expensive to say the damage was caused by the wind. This is why we declined to contribute or pay for the damage. Simon

**Beware they will keep your £1000 deposit, if the car they sell you is faulty! Second update for you all to read**- They let us return the car after an independent body came out from the finance company and inspected the car, guess what now…. They will not return our deposit of £1000. Due to admin fees, paid protection and 9 months out of warranty. 9 months out of warranty due to them selling us a faulty car. (They could not fix, and agreed for us to return). Only 1,236 miles used on the car in 9 months! Stress of my partner using my car as he could not use his faulty car, the past 9months have been horrendous with no car for school runs and trying to get shopping. Beware they will keep your money! UPDATE - Thank you for your response, We were sold the car with the DFP issue which is why it has been in the garage back and forth for such a long time, we have finally been able to respond to each other by email and mobile phone calls as you said in your response your landline will not connect to our mobile. Yes you have sourced a garage close to us this march, this doesn't however excuse the time since purchasing the car back in November and the car being with yourselves supposedly being fixed and showing the same issue, has it even been fixed? We are still not happy at all with this service. Kyle will look forward to speaking to you. Extremely unhappy, purchased car back in November (its march now) on the way home engine management light came on to be told the is wear and tear. We argued this going back and forth dropping car off to be looked at, losing money as having to take time off work. It was a fault with the car that is not covered under warranty - they have agreed to pay and fix it, however lacking communication for updates still waiting for car to be fixed. Paid over £2500 so far for a car that has been back in the garage and not even used by us. Extremely unhappy as this is not a cheap car, we don't even have it to use it and are still paying for it.

We encourage reviews as long as they are honest. Yes you brought a vehicle that developed a Dpf issue, this was down to the fact that you were only doing short journeys in a diesel vehicle and not giving it long enough to regenerate. Dpf's are classed as serviceable items. Yes the vehicle has been returned after 9 months and 1,236 miles which we were happy to do. If you read the order form this will show that you opted to take additional products from us. The £1000 was paid for the additional external warranty, which you tried to claim for the issue which wasn't covered due to it being a serviceable item, the paint protection, which you still have the pack for, and our administration fee.

Simon, thank you for your response. I have tried to remove this review however I cannot. If you manage to remove it please do. Please keep the £1000 (including your admin fee), due to personal issues I have not got the energy or in a position to fight this any further. I wish you well. Have a nice day.
