I purchased a car from Seymour Pope and dealt with Pierre. He was extremely charming and helpful during the sales process. However, the first morning after collecting the car from Seymour Pope it developed a fault. Pierre's fix to this was to advise me to wait a few days and then he would raise it as an insurance claim as it then looked more genuine! As such as time went by, I was left to deal with this faulty car issue entirely by myself. Still to this day Pierre has not contacted me to see if the car was repaired ok and other than make a phone call to pass this issue to the insurance company, he did nothing! My advice would be wary of this garage as they have no ability to fix issues and when you spend a lot of money on a car and it has a fault the next day after you take it home, you have to question how thoroughly these guys check their cars! My experience was the worst customer service from buying a car to date and believe me I've bought a lot over the years!

Having viewed the car online I went on to view and buy the Mercedes. The car was as described and I really pleased with the deal. They were very professional and very efficient. I could recommend Seymour Pope.

Called in looking for a small car to take the Grandchildren in.... Fell in love with the Mercedes C63 AMG. A smooth deal negotiated... Loving the car from Seymour Pope.

Whilst due to personal reasons I did not complete a car purchase Philip and Pierre at Seymour Pope were attentive and efficient with excellent contact throughout.

Well done Pierre and Seymour Pope. Excellent customer service from first contact to collection of an extremely well presented vehicle as good as any main Porsche dealer could provide. Would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend.

As In the title, Seymour Pope is the best dealership I’ve dealt with, efficiently dealt with all my needs was the easiest px and collect of a new car I’ve ever had...couldn’t have done more for me and highly recommend them will go straight back to them when i change my car again. Simple as that. Thank you.

I did not in the end buy a car from this company as i will await a different model, but i feel i must comment on the way they went more than the extra mile to help me, nothing was to much trouble, Phillp Seymour Pope is a born gentleman and Alex was always at the end of a phone to help, please be advised this company will make you happy and client care is all that matters. i note the amount of superb reviews on this google site and i will allow Philip to use my E.Mail address for anyone who wants to contact me with any questions. BE very weary of this company. I drove all the way from Cornwall to look at a White Porsche cayenne s described as stunning. I clearly asked whats the condition to be told its an amazing example with no damage , well looked after etc. When i got there it looked ok until i looked closely, milk spilt still over the seat and also in the stitching, deep scratch in the passenger window glass and dent in pillar, Coffee stain in the carpet, 3 new tires 1 old an nearly bold, had a repair down the passenger side of the car and had been resprayed (despite being asked has it had any damage they said no and the knew the car from new which turned out to be fails from the phone call). The two inside door pillars were danged and dented from the seat belt and they just used white touch up paint that wasn't even the right colour. There were deep scratches near the roof and i was don't that was from a roof box. I then looked even closer and the exhaust trim was all bent, windscreen had been drilled and repaired to a really poor standard, Alex had over a week to get the car in tip top condition yet it was disgusting wasn't even cleaned to a standard with glitter on the seat etc. The car was advertised with a millage of 30k when i got there it was closer to 32k. I asked more about the Porsche warranty which they said it had until January and since found out Porsche void all warranties if the car is sold from a non Porsche garage so they are also selling cars and miss leading customers. Since is had dealings with Alex and Philip they have been reported to trading standards and evidence has been forwarded. I paid a large deposit via the phone and it took me weeks at get my money back from them and they had every excuse under the sun why it wasn't been paid back. This company is a disgrace and cost me time and money in the lies do not use!!!!

Dear Alastair, Thank you for submitting your review. We are disappointed that you feel we acted in any other manner than professionally throughout your experience with Seymour Pope some months ago. We take our reputation very seriously and the condition of our cars and the way they are presented is key to how we operate with all customers. Unfortunately I feel that your account of what happened has misleading information and in one particular statement, contains accusations which are plain incorrect. You have the right to post a review of what you feel happened but in turn we feel its right to reply in the public domain so others can see what we did in order to try to deliver the kind of sale you wanted. From our first point of contact, you insisted that the car be made ready for a particular day of viewing, sale & handover, all in one go with your own finance solution organised. You made it clear that if the car was not ready and all the above in place then the sale would not happen. We in turn made it clear that the vehicle had just been through a service and the alloy wheels were being professionally refurbished with a colour change that you approved of at the same time as our discussions - this meant it would be a push timeline wise but we would do our very best to meet your request. You happily agreed with Alex that you knew a full days 'detailing' in house could not be spent on the car ahead of your visit on the Friday due to the aforementioned time constraints and you accepted this. Im sorry but we feel that we did everything to accommodate you. The condition of the car was good for a used example, nearly 3 years old. You also told us personally that ours was the best example from several cars you had already seen but that your weren't 100% happy as you wanted as close to perfection. As a result we agreed that perhaps this wasn't the car for you, based on your expectations. We did refund you in full your deposit and also managed the successful return of the finance companies funds. Nevertheless we still received from you an email threatening Trading standards action and sighting a need for you to be compensated a significant amount money for the fact you travelled from distance and the deal did not go through. I don't think we could have done much more to facilitate the sale. The car in question sold within 48 hours from our meeting, to a couple who were delighted with the car and its condition. More pertinently, to post statements that are false when it comes to how we operate with our customers is inappropriate - many companies would take strong action to counter accusations made in the public domain when its comes to integrity. The Porsche Cayenne S you viewed was a 2014/63 registered car so still under the full orginal Manufactures warranty at the time of viewing. It cannot be voided by any dealer selling it, independent or other. Its such a shame we couldn't reach a happy sale in our encounter but I trust you found the right car for you in the end. I was referred to Seymore Pobe by a friend. They sold my Range Rover quickly and professionally. We quickly agree what price they thought was reasonable, they then added their ( great value!) commission and put the car on their websites their website. The car was detailed and great photos taken, my car was sold in about 10 days! Alex appraised me throughout the sale and was very transparent. I througherly reccomend these guys to anyone who wants a fast efficient and transparen sale, with personal service.
