I Took the car in for a service at SG Petch Durham and waited for the car in the showroom. Eventually the car was ready and i was told that the front LH caliper had seized and that the pads were worn down, but there was still enough material on for 2000 miles. I pointed out that the car was still under warranty and the faulty caliper should be replaced. I was told that the part was not faulty and it was a build up of brake dust. I was told that removing the build up of dust was not part of the service as they don't even take the wheels off. Driving the car home the wheel was getting so hot it was setting off the tyre pressure monitor. I had to take the car to another garage pay £120 to replace the font pads and clean out the brake dust on top off the £220 i paid for the service. Do Not use SG Petch Durham

I bought a Hyundai ix20 what had problems with the remote fob, SG Petch Durham ordered a new remote and made matters even worse, i asked for the old remote back as it was better than the new one, but was told i would have to pay £200+vat as they somehow managed to wipe it clean. as the car is under the worthless Hyundai warranty i feel we have been cheated and robbed. My wife suffers from memory loss much like the new key, she may forget the bad experience shortly but i will never forgive them or forget.

I purchased a new SEAT at this dealership, the salesman couldn't have been nicer but as soon as I took delivery I discovered a whole different side to the dealership. Initially I contacted them about a problem with the steering they were totally disinterested in investigating a grating sound when the steering column was turned beyond a quarter from the neutral. The problem persists. I then had a problem with my first service. I booked the vehicle in for an early morning drop off and arranged for them to give me a lift to work - a distance of about 1 mile. I arrived at the dealership at 8.00 as agreed. There were only two people on the desks, one making a phone call and the other serving someone. I waited and when the person using the phone finished his call he ignored me and approached the people who had arrived after me. I took him more than half an hour to deal with them and no other member of staff offered to assist. I did eventually get to work but not until nearly nine o'clock. No one rang me to inform me that the car was ready so I rang the garage and was assured it would be at the prearranged time of 4.00pm. I walked to the garage and was told that the car was ready apart from it being checked over. I waited and waited with no update offered and it soon became abundantly clear that my car has stood in the garage all day and that it had not been serviced. I had to wait for an hour before the car was ready.
