I bought a BMW 523d SE for £3.5K back in 2014. It had done just over the 100k miles but it was in mint condition. I haven't had a problem with it. Had it serviced every year and apart from wear and tear it's been great. I have put another 60K on it and I intend to keep it for another year. I told the guy I needed a reliable commuter and to be fair to him he delivered. The log book showed 1 previous owner and the service book showed 100 percent BMW dealership service stamps. I'm not a mechanic but the engine bay looked clean and the pedals weren't at all worn - that's about as far as I go!! The car had clearly been looked after (far more than I have done since). It is probably the best used car I have ever had. The sales guy told me they have got a licence to attend BMW auctions of approved used cars that BMW have had back after lease etc, so they get a few one-owner cars every now and then. Based on my experience with this car, I don't think he was lying. However looking at the other reviews I guess I got lucky?? I was about to use them again until I found these reviews. I guess we should all remember that we are looking for bargains and not using dealerships is always going to be a risk. Try and understand what their business model is (e.g. importing cheap but good ex-forces cars from abroad or buying good cars at auctions - or just flogging ringers!! Buyer beware and all that. Personally I'm glad I found them. H

Bought a car from these Signature Cars two months ago. Engine problem and clutch problem. It broke down and doesnt work. The manager director whatever he is abused me down the phone and squared up to me in person. Left with no money and a car thats completely screwed! have to pay for it myself. Most of their positive reviews are them doing it as i cant believe they treat anyone well based on my experience! They cant be trusted!
Victoria Lock in response to Do not buy from these people!
Have you reported this to trading standards via Citizens Advice ? I think they would be very interested in hearing from you. Thanks.
I purchased a Honda CRV and as soon as I left the battery light came on. So I returned it the day after and left it with them for a week when I went on holiday. On return the car had a dent which they repaired and the battery light came back on. So I took it to a garage and they told me the alternater wasn't charging the battery. Phoned them up and told them to which they wouldn't do anything as it hasn't broken down under there warranty. DO NOT USE THEM.
Never go near them. Bought a car in June with the engine management light coming on the same day of purchasing. Was a valve that needed changing and was delayed a week to get the car. Also told the car would be fully serviced and valeted but when I picked it up it was dirty and had water bottles on the back set. Bought in June, in September the Pads and discs needed doing (didn't mind so much as this is wear and tear and happens to every car). October the car started lagging power and broke down needing a new EGR valve costing £270. Then in November needed a new battery. December the gear box has gone and car keeps kicking out of 3rd gear. Will cost around £1900 for the car to be repaired with the list of problems found just getting longer and longer. Dealership are clearly buying budget cars with known problems and selling them on with shoddy or minimal work done to them. Never going near them again and have recommended to all my friends and colleagues to stay clear.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. From start to finish was a joke. £250 deposit left over phone and told could get refund if was unhappy with car. The car wasn't as explained BMW 1 series coupe, only one key told had two on phone an was an doctor car before lie lie lie.£8000 cost and two weeks later timing chain had gone at a cost of £1150 and this was paid by me. They are rude pushy don't want to help. Once they have your money they dont care. i had to get my legal team to send letter loads of stress an extra cash. But note they will be driving a nice new car with no issues or problems from your hard earned cash, whilst your left with his shocking cars. Stay away.
I bought a car from Signature Cars in August 2013. The vehicle I had from them was a BMW 5 series. Within the first two weeks of owning this vehicle I had the engine management light coming up telling me there was some engine fault. I got back in contact with Signature Cars and they were very rude and unhelpful. And were just not interested in resolving this problem. I definitely won't be buying off them ever again. Very unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with. I believe this firm has ceased trading and are trading under a new name Signature Cars Platinum and/ or Motion Cars. Buyer beware, I would say buy at your own risk.
Signature Cars appear helpful and nice when they believe things to be going their way. When finance deal had a hick up they were very pushy and didn't like the fact that the deal didn't work in my favour and were very rude accusing me of wasting their time. Would stay way clear from Signature Cars now on.
Don't use Signature Cars. Simple as that. Apparently Ceased trading end Feb 2015. Bought off eBay. All reviews seem to complain about Engine management lights. No different with me. Garage cleared the errors. Was promised an MOT and it failed to come with car. Front tyres were on wrong sides. Fog light broken. needed a new battery within a week.
purchased a car £40k, weeks later engine later light came on and found major mechanical fault. costs £9k to repair but dealer refuse to help. DO NOT buy from these people, I wished I had read all other negative reviews about them
Not bad from Signature, very smooth, happy with my car, had to travel with the car some distance and slight hic up with money side so had to wait to leave, did get resolved and not sure whose fault, all the deal went great, i would recommend them!
