Great dealing with Graham , very helpful and polite. Had very minor issue with strange noise coming from car but they sorted that within a day of me mentioning it and turned out to be just the toolkit rattling about in the boot, were more than happy to help

Bought my Jaguar fpace without seeing and got delivered to me in Newcastle, Havent bought a car this way before but they made the process as easy as it could be , were honest and upfront about the car and i was over the moon with it when it arrived ! Would recommend

I went to Simpson motors, was told to come in at 9am the next day, car will be mine. i asked if this is the quickest way or is online quicker. was told to come in, sort it at 9am. I take the Morning off work, go in and told the car is gone to someone ONLINE! I could have done this online if the person told me this would guarantee me the car. I went there with the understanding, the car was reserved for me. Obviously not. WILL NOT BE BACK.

Good Morning Stephen, Its Bryan Simpson emailing you back, Sorry to hear that you are dissapointed with your experience with us. I have discussed the situation with Ricky , Its always a diffucult one for us when there is more than one person who wants to buy the same car, Someone always get let down unfortunatley there is not a way to keep both customers happy as we only have the 1 car. I know you are ofcourse dissapointed but please try to see it from our perspective in a situation like this we need to operate on a first come basis we cannot turn a buyer away who its wanting to go ahead with a purchase and is prepared to pay a deposit to secure the car on the hope that a customer from a previous day comes back. Without a commitment of a deposit being paid all cars are still available for purchase. You can imagine how many people on a daily basis tell us they are coming back and we dont see them again, So we cant be expected to turn other customers away on the hope that you would come back today. Under your own admission Ricky suggested coming in at 9AM to tie the deal up if you wanted to go ahead , I beleive it was roughly 9.20 before you were here which unfortunatley was the window of time where the other customer phoned and paid a deposit to secure the car. If you had been here at 9.00am as suggested the car would have been sold to you. I can assure you there was no intention of lying / misleading you in anyway as ofcourse this would be couter productive on our part as we are here to sell cars not delay the purchase or put people off them. As it stands the deal with yourself actually appealled to us more than the deal we have done as we were keen to have your car as a part exchange giving us replacement stock to sell on again rather than the other customer who doesnt have a car to trade in, However we do not favoritise any customers particular deal over another regardless of if it suits us better than than another and all our customers have the same opportunity to proceed with a purchase if they want to on a first come first serve basis i can guarantee you that you were not personally undervalued as a potential customer in anyway. How would our other customer have felt if we told him that sorry you cant buy the car as someone viewed the car yesterday and they also had a part exchange which we want so we are going to wait and see if they come back in or not before we would sell you the car? Thats not the way it works unfortunatley. Apologies again that you feel dissapointed by the service you recieved , We wish you all the best and hope you manage to find another suitable car. My partner bought a car from this garage last week and here’s how they put out a car ! Tyres chunk out them and Bryan Simpson just said it can have 10 chunks out off a tyre stay clear go and look else where and get a safer car and someone who wants too listen when you have a issue there are dirty marks on head cloth full valet lol

Noticed this same review on another site no mention of valet just tyre or tyres?.is it a chunk out a tyre? or tyres covered in chunks then as your unverified review would suggest ? (Not helpful).
I live locally and always check here when it's time to buy or sell my cars. I had the chance to sell my car and Bryan was genuine and very helpful. Would highly recommend Simpsons motors

I called this car dealership this morning at 10 30am to express my interest in a Mercedes SLK & to confirm I would call in around 3pm to view the car. I spoke to Graham who was polite & would welcome me along to follow up my interest. I explained to Graham I was from Glasgow but up in Inverness on a weekend break with my wife & that I would come visit them on the way home. We arrived at Simpson’s at 2 30pm & viewed the car which my wife & I instantly fell for. As it was raining quite heavily Bryan said they would bring the car indoors to get a better look (with roof down) etc. There was a slight problem with the retractable roof but was merely down to the battery needing a charge which after doing so resolved the problem. I asked if i could take the car for a test drive & to my dismay was told how was that possible. I assumed he would allow me to take the car out. Graham asked if i would be comfortable sitting next to him, i said as I was wearing a mask & sanitised my hands & expected he might do the same but instead his reply was (well no so we’re snookered) ?? Surely if your a car salesman & you want sales you at least have to allow customers to test drive the vehicles, especially when your willing to spend in excess of 13k. I think this was a poor service & bad salesmanship for Simpson’s especially after reading some pretty positive reviews before my visit. Anyone thinking of buying from this company i would suggest clarification of a test drive before a waisted journey.

Michael , Apologies you have felt let down by the experience you had when you visited us. Unfortunately due to covid restrictions and insurance implications we are unable to offer test drives, Some garages are offering unaccompanied test drives which our insurance does not cover us for, I know some other garages are also offering test drives with member of staff in the car wearing masks, This is something i strongly disagree with as social distancing cannot be maintained whilst in a vehicle with or without masks. This is something as a company i have made the decision not to allow as i will not ask any member of my staff to put themselves at risk for the sake of a test drive or sale of a vehicle. We have had some customers walk away due to no test drives which i can understand but i am prepared to take this loss in exchange for the safety of my staff and customers visiting us, This is our main priority at present due to the ongoing situation. However i agree this could have and should have been explained to you in a better manner than it was upon your visit to us. I did overhear the conversation myself, When you asked for a test drive Graeme was trying to explain that neither he or you should be joining each other in a car during the present circumstances to which to which you responded that you wouldn't buy any car without driving it, To which he responded along the line of "Well we are snookered as it cant be done" i agree this may have came across sarcastic which i apologise for and assure you that was not our intention. We are finding the majority of our customers understand the situation and are impressed with the many changes we have made at the dealership to make it as safe an environment as possible for everyone on site, Albeit inconvenient in some cases but it must be done. I apologise once again and would be happy to welcome you back to the dealership at any time in the future to which we will make sure you are looked after appropriately Kind Regards Bryan Simpson
