6 months ago I visited Sinclair to order an f-pace, the car I’ve wanted for a long time. I was made aware of the components issue and was pushed towards spending an extra 5k being told that because it’s standard it will be guaranteed on the build. For the next six months I was not contacted with any updates, so periodically I phoned/ Emailed them. I was told all on track and no changes to build. Six months later the car arrived. Paul offered to share a video. I noticed the interactive display was missing. On calling I was met with ‘well do you want it or not?’. A bit shocked to say the least. I asked was everything else on the car and was told yes. The next day Paul send me a build and asked me to check it. I responded, that’s not my build. I was asked what’s missing? I mentioned the interactive display, the parktronic, the 360 cameras, the spare wheel, the trailer board. They offered to order another car but stated the parts would be missing on that one too. The car now was the same spec as the basic car (5k cheaper) but with an SE badge. They offered a £300 discount as a gesture. I asked for my car back, I was told it had gone to trade. However I know that it was sold for a nice profit from their Mercedes’ narbeth branch. My car was let go for trade at 3k less than private. It only had 24k miles on the clock hence it sold in days. They won in ever way and I feel robbed and let down. Please beware, there is no thought for the customer here. It’s all about profits… I would give no stars if it would let me. My only aim is to avoid disappointment to others.
