I travelled from Newcastle as SMA had exactly the car I wanted. I was a bit flustered when I arrived as I have a disability and the journey was horrific and Mr Davenport could not have been more kind. (I was very pleased to be driving home and not on the trains.) I was left alone with the keys to do as I wished and was offered a test drive. I didn't need this as the car was exactly as described and was definitely a 'good un'. And so it has turned out - the car (low mileage 2010 FIAT Panda Cross) is an absolute corker. Mr Davenport was a joy to deal with and, based on my experience, I have no hesitation in recommending South Manchester Autos.

Just been to view a car here from over an hour away and after inspecting and having a test drive I fully intended on doing a deal after pointing out the admittedly minor faults but faults never the less, heated mirror not working, air con out of gas, brakes needing bleeding (not so minor from a safety aspect but an hour's work if that), a few blown bulbs Then all of a sudden the guy flips and becomes rude and aggressive and as we go to leave he says, what's up you spat your dummy out and are you not even gonna say thanks, No I am not I didn't get the guys name but if you as a potential customer reads this review then please avoid this place

Traveled from Sheffield, made himself available after 5:30! Even said he’s stay till 9.00pm if needed so we could see the car! Showed us all documentation, service history, recent fixes, HPI checks and V5 Log book. He allowed us a test drive the car without him! Extremely trust worthy! To top it off because the car in question didn’t have parking sensors he knocked us off the price it would cost to get them retrofitted privately!

Rob was incredibly knowledgeable about his inventory and took the time to understand my needs and preferences. Throughout the entire purchasing process, he was transparent, honest, and professional. I never felt pressured or rushed into making a decision, which was incredibly refreshing compared to other dealerships I’ve visited in the past. Rob took care of all the paperwork efficiently, and the financing process was smooth and hassle-free. Highly recommend Will definitely be coming back to him in the future

I purchased a car from Robert Davenport at this dealership via an advert on Auto Traders. The engine light subsequently came on and after an investigation the care has been written off. A warranty was provided when purchased but the Robert and the dealership will not return any of my communications.

It is unfortunate that you found a fault with your 17-year-old car. Although I didn’t respond immediately to you as I was away on holiday and I am entitled to some time away from my job. You have now been sent £400 towards repair on the car. I don’t appreciate this review. How can you expect to purchase a car and not spend any money on maintenance. Unfortunately I didn’t design the car I just sold it to you.

Haven’t had chance to write a review just yet, as I’ve been so busy, but I have just bought a 2010 5 series estate from south Manchester autos. I’d been looking for a while, almost got ripped off for a possible stolen vehicle then on Tuesday evening, my dad sent me the autotrader listing for the car and I messaged the number straight away. I felt pretty rude as it was like 11.30pm, but didn’t didn’t expect a response right away, but got one! It was Robert! Robert was extremely responsive, accommodating and polite. I said I’d get an Uber to meet him the following morning, but would have to be early as I was travelling to London straight after. Robert very kindly said that if I was going from Stockport, he’d give me a lift to the train station, I was extremely moved by the offer and grateful. Robert met me the following morning on the button, and we went for a test drive. Within an hour, the car was in my name, taxed and insured! Really can’t fault the service and I’m made up with my new (to me) car! I’ve been loving driving it, and yesterday I was messaging Robert to tell him how made up I was, he told me the ac may need gassing up, and helped me coordinate with the garage next door to his pitch…. I went this morning and had it sorted. All thanks to Robert! He even had the decency and kindness to pay the £20 difference from what he thought the service would cost. Made up and would highly recommend! Thank you 🙏 Robert

Bought a Mercedes CLC from South Manchester Autos. Arranged to view the car and was given plenty of time alone to look over the car and test drive. No hard sell techniques. The day after I collected the car I noticed a fault with the glow plug system. I spoke to David and he reassured me that the fault would be fixed. He would book the car in for repair and contact me when this could be done. He booked the car in to be looked at a couple of days later. I took the car to the garage and they repaired it the same day. I would definitely look to them when buying my next car.

Seen a car that I liked here called on the Monday to discuss collection on the following Friday advertised that the car needsd MOT and a parking sencer fitted ok called on the Thursday afternoon to say I'll be ther in the morning to collect the vehicle thay advised me the car wasn't going to be ready as it hasn't been MOT'ED thay was very rude on the phone no customers skills what so ever thay new I was travelling over 400 miles to collect the vehicle but didn't care the car had sat there for a week and thay couldn't even get it ready for collection what would it be like if u had a problem with the vehicle if thay carnt get a £5500 vehicle ready for a customer who's travelling over 400 miles to collect the vehicle in a week then there's no hope for this garage, I'd avoid at all costs

We told the customer the car booked for an mot he was being very impatient, its not like he travelled all the way to find the car had no mot it was only a phone call he had to make, if any of our cars have less than 6 months mot then we do it

I bought a Ford Fiesta in August. The car was clean and appeared to be in good condition when I received it but I have had quite a few problems with it and the dealer wasn't very helpful and was actually quite rude. I wouldn't recommend.

We sold the car with no issues like she has said, we cover any major issues including engine, gearbox any breakdowns ect. Obviously brakes/tyres/battereries and general wear and tear items are not our responsibilty unless they were an issue within a few weeks of purchase then we would consider it to be repaired
