Great experience dealing with Danny at Southern Prestige Cars. Really good communications and perfect level of detail and advice on the car. Really easy to deal with in terms of the transaction and paperwork etc. Danny really knows his stuff and is obviously super experience in the motor trade. Back in 2020 I purchased a lovely Nissan GT-R from Danny. After 3+ years of ownership and many happy miles, the time had finally come to pass it onto its new owner. I opted to contact Danny to arrange a consignment sale since he was already familiar with the car, and as expected, the process was quick and seamless. It didn't take long for my car to sell for the amount we had agreed upon, and the funds were immediately transferred to me. As always Danny, it was an absolute pleasure to deal with you mate. Cheers!

Danny .. seems to be the most confused sales person in the world. I called up recently about a Nissan GTR that is advertised on Auto trader. I asked for details of the car and you could tell he was clueless about GTRs, I asked him if he could send a few videos of the car running from cold start as I would be travelling quite far so wanted to make sure everything's in order before coming down. He refused, said he won't be doing that as it would just be a video of a car running that wouldn't achieve much. I thought he was joking... I asked him about part ex. He asked what car I had, and he said no thanks. I asked why, and he said, "well I don't wake up in the morning dreaming of driving that car" ok..... Weirdly rude but fine, maybe he is on the spectrum or something, who knows. I sold that car for asking price privately in less than 24 hours so it can't be that undesirable (Volvo XC90 T8 fully loaded). Now, with cash in the bank, I gritted my teeth and called Danny again and asked for an appointment to come down and view the GTR - for the right car I could put up with Danny's strange approach to selling I'm sure. He didn't recognise me, and he said he had the car out of the compound today (Saturday) as someone else is coming to view (usual sales speech) - I said I can't today but I can come down on Tuesday. He said Ok. On the Sunday Danny just randomly sent me about 30 images of the car. I thanked him and said that I can't wait to see it in person on Tuesday. On the Monday, I asked him if I could also look at an RS7 which they had on their website, (as my other half was interested in purchasing this for herself). Danny very bluntly said, the RS7 is sold and he had a positive viewing on the GTR on Saturday (the day before he randomly sent me loads of photos) and that I should hold off coming down. I said No problems. I never heard back from Danny but more than a week later, I noticed the Black GTR was still on Autotrader, and has been reduced by £1000. Scratching my head, I asked a friend to call Danny and ask if the GTR was still available... And it was (although Danny said.. it wouldn't be available for long - usual sales speech). How confusing though... I'm not the cleverest person in the world, but if you're supposed to be selling the cars on consignment for your customers, you're not doing a very good job. I am still bemused to be honest, maybe it's because I'm foreign. I pick up my almost identical GTR next week, although I paid considerably more for it and my wife has purchased an RS6 for herself. Such a shame you acted so strangely Danny, it could have been a easy double sale for you (triple if you'd part exchanged, considering how quickly the Volvo sold). Hopefully the customer you're pretending to sell the GTR for reads this and takes his car back. You say that you don't employ salespeople... Maybe you should. Cue the usual "we look after our customers blah blah response from Danny followed by a random positive review"

Thank you for your feedback Craig, and I do feel your disappointment at not being able to buy our clients stunning Nissan R35 GTR, they don’t come along in that condition and spec, with such a comprehensive service history very often, and a Black Edition as well. A car I know very well, as I owned it myself as a personal car three years ago, and I have sold it twice previously. After careful consideration I decided I had no wish to purchase your Volvo at the price you were asking Craig and I believe honesty and transparency is the best policy, so I politely declined your offer and explained the reasons for my decision. I did suggest you advertise your Volvo privately and I am pleased you were successful in selling it by means of this channel. Help and advice are always free at Southern Prestige Cars. My text reply to your text enquiry about our clients RS7 was “RS7 is sold Craig” I was very busy, and not sure what’s wrong with that reply to be honest, but I do apologise if you find it too blunt. I hope your wife is pleased with her RS6, like the RS7, they are also a great car. We post a video on Autotrader, our website and our YouTube channel of every car we sell Craig, but to be honest, we don’t always have time for individual videos as we just get too busy. We may pay more attention to individual “walk around” videos in the future, so thank you for bringing this to our attention. We had this fabulous GTR sold Craig, no surprise there of course, and I advised you of this at the earliest possible opportunity. Unfortunately, that sale fell through. Our vendor was very disappointed when the deal fell through and asked us to remarket his car at a slightly reduced price. I called you immediately with this good news, and to be honest, I also called many others who were interested in this fantastic opportunity, but, alas, no reply from you. I don’t understand the concept of instructing someone else to call us back anonymously on your behalf, I find this very strange to be honest. We are a small, family run, friendly, boutique car brokerage business Craig, we aim to offer a bespoke, very personal brokerage service to private individuals looking to buy and/or sell a car with the minimum of risk, we are not motor traders, and we aim to make this very clear. We take time to walk each of our vendors and buyers through the buying and/or selling process with great care and consideration and we are meticulous about detail as we know the cars we broker have a high value and decisions are not to be made lightly in this environment, or indeed at this level. Most of our customers are high net worth individuals who are not interested in the mechanical aspect of buying and/or selling cars, that’s for us to take care of and we like to think we are very competent as we have had no complaints so far. We are not the cheapest people to buy a car from Craig, and we do not aim to be, what we do aim to offer is the best buying experience possible. Danny has been great from start to finish of the procedure, from reserving the car (BMW E93 3.0L) for me to view the car before purchasing. He has great knowledge and passion for performance cars, as well as great banter, along with quality cars that he is selling make a great combination! Since having the car I have been in love with it, it has been modded to a great standard from the cosmetic mods to the remap tune which has made the car run at higher power as well as better economy while doing so. Overall has been a great service and product, would definitely recommend buying from.

I contacted Danny regarding an Audi Q7 he had for sale, after speaking to him over the phone and over txt he agreed to hold the car without a deposit until I could come and view it which I thought was extremely trusting as it was a number of days before I could travel down to view. After travelling over 100 miles Danny made me and my partner very welcome, and let us take our time viewing and test driving the car. After we agreed to purchase the car Danny took his time to explain all the paperwork clearly that we needed inc the process of the vehicles warranty if we ever needed to use it. I would highly recommend Southern Prestige Cars and I will definitely consider using them again when I come to upgrade in a few years time.
