Mercedes of Southport, A complete let down is an understatement. They do not deserve any custom. Think twice before using this showroom and car plan service. We have been a loyal customer of Mercedes Southport branch for many many years and we have just recently traded in and purchased another Mercedes’ new car. We are also loyal customers of Mercedes’ car service plan which we paid into on a monthly basis over the years and never missed a payment. When our car was serviced if there was any additional maintenance to be done we paid immediately. When we purchased our new Mercedes car we continued with another car service plan. When it came to paying the first double payment of our new plan. There was an additional large payment taken from our bank account without informing us. We should have been told about the possibilities of any arrears when we sat down and took out another plan. I feel this information is deliberately kept from the customer so that a new plan would be obtained. We informed them we were not happy about this. After speaking to two different people from the car service department and the salesman who sold us the car, (who I initially praised) and has now turned out to be a disappointment. I am still waiting!! for the phone call back that I was promised from the salesman. I have also sent an email to the Mercedes Southport Branch. They have not even acknowledged or replied So that’s it. They have had the best part of £44,000 from us thank you very much. I feel that I am being ignored in the hope that I will go away, which of course I will eventually do, once I receive the money back that was taken out of our account without informing us. We do much regret giving my custom to Mercedes Southport and I will never use them ever again.

I understand I cannot remove my review, under the Terms & Conditions. Therefore, I am happy to report that my issue has now been resolved by the Manager.
Awful. My car was recalled for the Airbags to be replaced two weeks ago, they had it for the day and phoned me to come and pick up in the evening and it didn’t start. They tried to tell me on the spot that this must have been something that’s happened before (it hasn’t) and sent me away without my car. Two days pass and I get a phone call saying there’s a problem with the steering lock and it’s a coincidence that they’ve been working on the steering column and something else located in the steering column breaks at the same time, but as a gesture of good will they’ll “try” to reduce the labour costs for me. I said I’m not happy with that so he said the service manager would ring me straight back, 7 days later I get another phone call pretty much saying the same thing it’s not their fault blah blah blah I said I wasn’t happy and he also said the manager would call me back, fast forward another 7 days and I finally had the phone call which again was just them saying it wasn’t their fault but this time added that they noticed the fault as it came in but just didn’t mention it. I’ve been on the forums and it seems to be quite a common thing taking your car to Mercedes’ for warranty work or recall work and the car mysteriously breaking while there. It seems they don’t like working for free and will find a way of getting money out of you. Going to seek advice from trading standards about this before handing over a penny, it’s put me off ever buying a Mercedes’ and certainly from using a main dealer to work on one, there’s a reason they call main dealers main stealers. You’d be insane to let these work on your car especially if it’s a recall job.

Thank you - particularly to Neil for making my progression to owning a Mercedes - and an automatic - very easy. I felt looked after and treated with care and courtesy. They even trusted me to test drive an automatic when I hadn't driven one before ... mind you Neil was a bit pale when we returned!!! The car was immaculate too. From initial enquiry to the delivery of our car Neil was excellent thank you so much
I live in London so going all the way to Southport to look at a car was a bit of a trek but Neil made it easy he sorted it so I only had to make one journey, picked up my car yesterday 28th July gave my car in and he gave me the price that was quoted no bother thanks Neil you made the experience great
I want to write this as on 2 occasions Andrew at Mercedes Southport has helped me out with my car firstly a cable to charge my iPhone a couple of months ago but today he should me how to relocate the adblue reading I am really grateful for this and his knowledge on cars is outstanding so once again Andrew thanks so much Mrs Karen Dean

Bought car of Southport Mercedes ended up dealing with the manager Sam he is by far the best person I have ever dealt with when buying a used Mercedes my only problem was not sticking with this dealer for my other car , by far the best Mercedes dealership iv been to think the guys name was Sam Mansfield
In August 2018 we bought the new Mercedes A200 AMG Line with all available extras from Mercedes of Southport. We had thought this would make for an enhanced driving experience. Unfortunately it also made for a more complicated driving experience. So on Jan. 15th we took it back to the dealers for further explanations on a long list of queries e.g. how do we adjust sat. nav. volume? turn down warning sounds? work the flat tyre foam pump? change to manual gear for steep hill descents? Alan went through the questions one by one. He knew the car and its possibilities really well and what is more he quickly understood where we were coming from and knew, or quickly found, an answer for each problem. His patience and courtesy never failed during the 1and1/2 hours we spent together in the car. We highly recommend his knowledge and attitude. Richard and Susan
