Don't buy a car from here especially if you're female! I purchased a land rover discovery in August 2023 and at the end of November 2023 the engine management light came on. We took out extended warranty when we purchased the car but was refused an appointment at the garage for 9 weeks. When we finally go an appointment 3 males working at the garage accused me of tampering with the and used bullying tactics on me. It was the timing chain that was the problem which is a common fault with these cars. We reported the males to the owners Louis Jones at the time, who dealtwith the matter at the time and had the work carried out on the car. We received the car back after getting the new timing chain fitted. We started experiencing further issues with the car when driving along the A3 and we needed to call the RAC for help. It was discovered by the RAC that the caliper wasn't put back on the front passenger side correctly. The caliper slipped down pushing against the wheel and seized the front wheel. We reported it to the owner Louis Jones and he has been avoiding contact with us since. He has also refused to provide us with a fit for purpose courtesy car. This has stopped us from taking our children to their after school commitments. We have been left without any means of transport now for days. They could have caused a serious accident and they put my family in a dangerous position. Nobody from sparshatts has apologised or made contact to see if we're ok.

Hi Julie, Did you get this sorted? I think I have just bought the same car from them. 2018 blue Discovery, which has stalled 3 times within 48 hours of purchasing. Waiting to hear back from them on a refund. Thanks, Chris

I bough a car from this dealership a Mercedes Class E 2019 and collected it on the 06/05/2023. I thought that I will collect the car and drive smoothly with no issue with the price I paid. Unfortunately, I was wrong after 30 miles of driving the front left tyre start losing pressure, I get home when parking it make huge noises when pressing the brakes and steering. Fair enough, I contacted them, I called multiple times, I called the guy I dealt with he has promised after sales with call me but nothing. I’m thinking to return this car, not because of the issues but of the service. It should not had these problems from the beginning. Worst experience ever when buying a car and thinking to enjoy it instead of the stress.

Hi, Can I ask did you return the vehicle? And were you able to return it smoothly? My partner has just purchased a car from this garage and the car isn’t even drivable! The customer service he has received is appalling! He is absolutely gutted and well to say the least by the looks of the reviews of this garage online it happens quite often!
Mis-sold a car by Inderjit, company unwilling to cancel transaction, 'its your word against mine' was one response. I advised what i needed with regards to the electric range i required. when i mentioned that the displayed range was lower, Inderjit's response was that he had driven the car. I took this to be a legitimate reason for the lower range. It transpires that the range is just that low, lower than i advised him was a very important factor in my search for an EV/Hybrid. He was aware of what i needed and knowing misled me with a very plausable reason. I am now escalating through the Motor Ombudsman and raising a charge back request through my bank. Also will be suing Inderjit personally for Slander as he is effectively calling my account of events a lie and i have endured a financial loss due to this. Stay well away from Sparshatts (Millbrook).

Bought a car recently from Sparshatts of Southampton. Car was not ready and been chasing them ever since to get even minor issues fixed
Great car, unfortunately, I can't say the same about the customer service at Sparshatts of Southampton. If anyone has seen 'White Gold' it is the type of service that Vince delivers! Severely poor communication, messages were not passed on, and it was frustrating to not have my emails and questions answered, or a call back when I was promised one as he couldn't wait to get me off the phone! My car was also sold without car mats, which is very bizarre. I'm still waiting for the last one. I wasn't shown under the bonnet, or where any of the controls were to arrange the car to my liking. I was pushed to find an insurance quote there and then, and pushed to have the extra warranty for the car, which I then didn't feel I needed, only to be told that he had 'already done the F ing paperwork' and why didn't I say anything earlier. I did say that I had actually called earlier in the week to cancel it! Needless to say, I won't be returning at all, and will not be recommending this diabolical service of all descriptions!

We bought a car from Sparshatts in Southampton and when I brought up the issues with the salesman Neil, he told me to bring them up after we have bought it as it's easier to sort these things on the warrentee. It's now a month later and the issues are still not dealt with. I was told it could be done immediately but they had our car for 3 days and nothing was done. So we decided to get our our car back and since then they never have the promised courtesy car available. We have now eventually got a courtesy car which is covered in dog hair. I wouldn't buy anything from this company as the promised phone calls never happen (especially from their boss) and once they have your money there is no after sales service.
Sharshatts are a new and used car dealership based in Southhampton. They have over finace and servicing and are open 7 days a week.
