I cannot speak for Luton’s service department, yet, but ended up speaking to Ethan Wood because of dissatisfaction with Stevenage (another story altogether) over my wife’s BMW. To say that Ethan Wood underpromised and overdelivered would be an understatement as he was incredibly empathetic and turned a difficult situation into a result that made a potential customer into a very satisfied one. As Michael Caine used to say he “used the difficulty”. His knowledge of BMW mechanics and enthusiasm for the brand does you credit.

SERVICE REVIEW ONLY Bought a car from them 2 years ago and now I can finally share the “ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE” experience with this dealer. Back then I dealt with Tony and Alfie in finding my car, test drive , paperwork, all smooth, no issues. Now the moment you put your signature on those dots the problem will start. Car was 3 years old ( 3 series with lots of toys, big spec), I didn’t expect from their side to sell a car with after market brake pads, during the test drive I didn’t notice no issues, but after 2 days each time I’ve pressed the brake I had a huge clunking noise from the brakes. They’ve changed the brake pads eventually in that week. Problem number 2 appeared after 2 months, car had adaptive cruise control and each time I did activate it the interior rear passenger lights turned on itself. It was like a Christmas three during the night and with a sleeping baby behind my night was ruined. Barry was dealing with the problem back then and I had to book it 2 times to have it fixed, each time I had to take time off obviously. On both visits they’ve changed the same part until they’ve fixed it. Problem number 3&4 appeared within 6 months with rear dif oil leak ( 3 years old car remember). With this issue my automatic gearbox started to be jerky between changes. Niky and Tracy were my service advisors . Regarding customer service from NIKY, BARRY and TRACY I will give them 5 stars - polite, kept me informed each time with emails, texts, videos with the worked carried. BIG THANK YOU FOR THEM. They fixed the oil leak under warranty but since then I had 4 more visits with the gearbox problem. I had different technicians on each occasion for a test drive and all confirmed that the gearbox is not ok, even the Service Manager. First they’ve said that the issue is from the MECHATRONIC and they’ve ordered the part for replacement. Part changed and ..... well problem got worse. I had to call BMW UK and after other visits they FINALLY replaced the entire automatic gearbox ( car was in warranty). Unfortunately I don’t have the pictures anymore but they’ve left everything underneath the car full of oil after this , no bother to clean it and to be even worse they took off my dashcam and left if on my passenger seat as you can see from the picture. I was fuming 😤. Technician who worked on my car didn’t even bother to say sorry or something , just that he took it off 😂 and “let me put it back”. Unbelievable. Gearbox appeared to be ok for few weeks when it started to be jerky again, another visit, now this time a puma case was opened on my car with the result that everything is ok and gearbox should be like that ( they had enough probably with my car and due to the poor service department of this dealer they just reset the transmission adaptation from the gearbox and bye bye). Luckily car was back to normal. Now gearbox is back to square 1 where is jerky between changes and is just annoying. Warranty for the gearbox was 2 years and I just had enough from them to be bothered to even try to book it again with them ..... Before deciding in buying a car from them think twice because you will buy a BMW and it will break 100% and when this will happen you’ll not want to get your car checked/repaired by their technicians. Read all the negative reviews because most of them are related to SERVICE DEPARTMENT which is the most important part for your car. In 2 years I’ve lost count of how many visits I had , plenty of paperwork in my folder, each time I took time off, take courtesy cars from them or from ENTERPRISE, all together time consuming and without no results. Owned only BMW in the last 10 years with both ZF 6 & 8 speed transmissions and never had any problems with the gearbox. Conclusion : STAY AWAY !!!

We received a great service from an outstanding and very knowledgable salesman called Yusuf at Luton BMW Specialist Cars. He gave us a professional, friendly and beyond our expectations BMW experience. All our needs were catered for from hospitality to sales service and the great value for money purchase of a well presented and sleek BMW. Bought a car from Specialist Cars BMW in Luton wipers no good bought it back about wipers which they never replaced then bought it in again for oil change had the wipers looked at only to be told the the wiper motor had gone bearing in mind I had only just bought it was charged x mount and car had warranty picked car up within 10 minutes tyer light comes on only to find a massive hole in tyer bearing in mind just picked up car given email address to complain only to get no response and a phoney phone number to ring very disappointed ????
This is the third BMW that I have bought from Specialist Cars BMW at Luton. It’s nice to see the same Staff there each time I visit and they couldn’t be more helpful.
We had a awful experience with Specialist Cars Luton from start to finish . We spent nearly £25,000 on a car that had nothing but problems . Once they get you into a car and take your money they have zero after care service . Managers sit in glass offices and couldn't care less , sales guys are slow , never return calls . I would never deal with this dealership ever again and I strongly advise you not to either.

They just don't seem to care as long as they have your money tea coffee and ginger biscuit does not float a disabled person's boat I am very disappointed they haven't even got a opening time
